Soldier Punched, Kicked, Pushed To The Ground By Kanwariyas At UP Station
On Saturday morning, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was waiting to board the Brahmaputra Mail at Mirzapur station when he got into an argument with some Kanwariyas - pilgrims who undertake the Kanwar Yatra to collect Ganga water for offering it to Lord Shiva - over buying a ticket.
A video shows the CRPF man encircled by at least eight men in saffron who pull him and one of them hits him. As he tries to retaliate, the paramilitary personnel is attacked by many Kanwariyas at once, thrown to the ground and punched and kicked several times.
The group then walks away and the CRPF man is helped to his feet by a person at the railway station. Enraged, the CRPF personnel walks towards the Kanwariyas, one of whom slaps him. He tries to throw a punch but is surrounded again, punched several times and then pushed to the same spot of the platform. The Kanwariyas can be seen kicking him again and some people on the platform try to intervene.
Railway Police Force Inspector Chaman Singh Tomar said seven people have been taken into custody.
"Around 9.30 am today, the CRPF jawan was waiting to board the Brahmaputra Mail when he had an argument with some men in red clothes. We have taken seven people into custody and further investigation is on," he said.

On July 1, a teenage boy was found dead near a water treatment plant (WTP) in Outer Delhi. His post-mortem report has now revealed that he was allegedly sexually assaulted before being stabbed 24 times, said police. According to police, the boy was killed allegedly by 13 people — many of them minors — as they suspected he was an 'informer' for incarcerated gangster brothers Monu and Sonu, also known as the Bandhwa brothers. Police had earlier arrested two men and apprehended four juveniles in connection with the case. Three more people were arrested on July 18 from Meerut; police said they had tried to disguise themselves as kanwariyas. 'One of the accused and two juveniles took part in the Kanwar Yatra… they were in a kanwar camp in Meerut. Police personnel also disguised themselves as kanwariyas to enter the camp and arrested the accused,' an officer said. A total of 9 people have been apprehended in the case, including the main accused. Police said the main accused had allegedly been beaten up by the Bandhwa brothers last Nove-mber and blamed the victim for it. He and his group abducted the victim on June 30, before they sexually assaulted and stabbed him one by one, the officer claimed. The incident came to light on July 1, when police received a PCR call at 3.10 pm regarding a body found near the WTP. On reaching the location, police discovered the body in the Munak Canal, with a scarf tightly wrapped around his neck and multiple stab wounds. A case under BNS sections 103(1) (murder) and 238(b) (causing disappearance of evidence) was registered. Later, the investigation had revealed that the murder stemmed from personal enmity between the deceased and two brothers from the same locality, said police. Police said Section 6 of the POCSO Act has been added to the FIR. 'The main accused had suspected that the victim and a couple of his friends were informers and had connived with the Bandhwa brothers to assault him last Diwali. He was planning revenge for a long time. On the intervening night of June 29-30, he and and seven others gathered together and planned to execute the murder,' DCP (Outer North) Hareshwar Swami had said.

Nagaland Turns Back 200 Vehicles Carrying Illegal Migrants From Assam Border
Guwahati: The Niuland district administration along with the Nagaland Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) intercepted and turned back over 200 vehicles carrying evicted illegal immigrants from Assam at various checkpoints across the district, sources have told NDTV. This comes at a time when the Nagaland government issued an advisory to the police to check evicted illegal migrants from Assam trying to enter the state. District-level intelligence teams were deployed at the check gates to assist in identifying and processing the occupants, sources said. In the last two days, over 200 vehicles that were attempting to transport individuals evicted during the Assam government's drive have been turned back after checking their credentials and it was found that they were evicted in the recent anti-encroachment drive in different parts of Assam. Three states in the northeast have issued an alert cautioning against the entry of illegal migrants from Assam, where the Himanta Biswa Sarma government has been carrying out massive eviction drives. The advisory issued by neighbouring Manipur, Meghalaya and Nagaland said all officers concerned should report any movement of suspected illegal migrants immediately. They have to collect the suspects' biometric and biographic data, too. The three states are concerned that the encroachers and illegal migrants evicted from Assam government lands may enter their states. Yesterday, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma chaired a high-level review meeting to assess the state's preparedness and strengthen border vigilance due to the ongoing eviction drive in Assam against illegal immigrants. The meeting aimed to prevent a spillover of illegal migrants from Assam entering neighbouring Meghalaya. It also reviewed the potential fallout of Assam's eviction drive and its impact on Meghalaya's border areas. Manipur Police today gave revised instructions outlining the procedure for detection, restriction of movement, and deportation of illegal immigrants. In addition, a comprehensive standard operating procedure (SOP) for verification and detection of illegal immigrants, including Pakistani and Bangladeshi nationals, has been provided to ensure uniform and coordinated action at the district level. To strengthen enforcement, special task forces (STFs) have been formed to detect, identify, and take appropriate legal action against illegal immigrants residing in Manipur, police sources added.

Maoist camp busted in Nuapada district
1 2 3 4 Balangir: In a significant breakthrough, the District Voluntary Force (DVF), in coordination with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), busted a Maoist camp in the Katphar-Chhatapani area under Boden police station limits in Nuapada district on Friday. "The operation was launched jointly by the DVF and CRPF following credible intelligence inputs. The search team recovered a large cache of explosive materials, along with other Maoist-related articles," SP Gundala Reddy Raghavendra, who led the operation, said. According to the police, the anti-Maoist operation was carried out deep inside the forest on Friday morning. During intensive area domination and subsequent search operations, a naxal dump was uncovered, resulting in the recovery of a substantial quantity of arms, explosives and logistical supplies. The security forces recovered a country-made gun and 24 bullet pellets from the site. Additionally, they seized 10 gelatin sticks, three electric detonators and some quantity of gunpowder. Other items recovered from the dump included communication equipment, electrical devices, grocery supplies and a variety of medicines. However, no Maoists were apprehended during the operation. A similar Maoist dump was unearthed a week earlier by security forces, leading to the recovery of a large quantity of explosives and Maoist paraphernalia.
