Taylor Swift obtains restraining order against man claiming he had child with her, Entertainment News

AsiaOne11-06-2025
Taylor Swift has obtained a temporary restraining order against a man who allegedly claimed he had a child with her.
The Cruel Summer singer declared she had been left fearing for the safety of herself and her loved ones after Brian Jason Wagner of Colorado allegedly visited her Los Angeles home multiple times over the last year and made a number of untrue statements about his connection to her.
In a legal declaration obtained by E! News, Taylor wrote: "Mr Wagner made various statements about living at my property (not true), being in a relationship with me (not true), believing I am the mother of his son (not true), and needing to see me in person, all of which are untrue and disconnected from reality."
Taylor — who is in a relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce — claimed the man first visited her home last year and returned several times in July 2024.
She wrote: "On at least one of the occasions in July 2024, Mr Wagner was carrying a glass bottle that could have been used as a weapon."[[nid:718717]]
And the 35-year-old star alleged Wagner showed up to her house again last month and claimed he was "was there checking on a friend (again, this is entirely untrue)."
Taylor's security team had run a background check on the man, and found he had previously in prison and while behind bars had written letters to the Karma hitmaker, in which he detailed "at length about his infatuation with me, a romantic relationship with me (which does not exist), and other completely fabricated stories about his involvement in my personal life".
Her team also discovered Wagner had allegedly managed to use Taylor's Los Angeles address on his own driver's licence, attempted to divert her mail to his home and allegedly sent "hundreds" of threatening emails to the pop superstar's staff.
Taylor stated in her declaration: "I have no relationship with Mr Wagner and I have never met nor communicated with him.
"The fact that both of these recent visits and Mr Wagner's inappropriate and threatening communications to my staff about me have escalated in recent weeks creates a fear of imminent harm."
The temporary restraining order stops Wagner going near Taylor's home, places of work and vehicles.
The Bad Blood hitmaker has previously admitted she tries not to let people know where she is in the world because of unwanted attention.
She told CBS Mornings: "I try not to ever really say where I am, since all my addresses are on the internet. People tend to show up uninvited like dudes who think we have an imaginary marriage.
"I've had a lot of stalkers show up to the house armed."

SAF investigating NSF caught vaping on board bus while in uniform

SINGAPORE: A national serviceman has been pulled in for investigation after a video surfaced online showing him vaping on a public bus while dressed in military uniform. The 58-second clip, originally uploaded by the Instagram account SGFOLLOWSALL, shows the man seated on the bus in a green Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) uniform, exhaling visible puffs of vapour from what appears to be an e-cigarette. He appears dazed and unaware of his surroundings. The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) confirmed that the man has been identified and was brought back by the SAF to assist with investigations. He has since been released following initial inquiries. MINDEF stressed that the SAF takes a firm stance against the use or possession of e-cigarettes among servicemen. Under Singapore law, it is illegal to possess, purchase, or use e-cigarettes. Offenders can be fined up to $1,000. If the e-cigarette is found to contain controlled drugs, the consequences could include detention and more serious charges. In addition to disciplinary and enforcement action, MINDEF said it promotes awareness and educates soldiers about the risks and legal implications of vaping. Smoking cessation counselling is available for those seeking help. The Health Sciences Authority (HSA) has also stepped up its enforcement activities against vaping. The public is encouraged to report suspected e-cigarette offences via an extended hotline, 6684 2036 or 6684 2037, which now operates daily from 9am to 9pm, including on public holidays. Reports can also be submitted online. Investigations are ongoing. Four-times Super Bowl champions Kansas City Chiefs signed the 24-year-old Welshman in March last year after he impressed scouts at the NFL International Player Pathway, but later left him off their roster for the 2024 season. Last August, Rees-Zammit joined the Jacksonville Jaguars as part of their practice squad before signing to their active roster in February. "I've got an exciting announcement to make! I've decided to leave the NFL and return to rugby!" Rees-Zammit posted on Instagram late on Thursday. "It's been a great experience but it's time to come home. I've decided that this is the best time to make this decision to give myself time to get everything in place for next season." Rees-Zammit made his debut in 2020 and won the Six Nations Championship with Wales the following year. He made 32 appearances for his country, scoring 14 tries, playing his last match for Wales at the 2023 Rugby World Cup, when they lost to Argentina in the quarter-finals. "There's only one thing that's on my mind, that's coming back to rugby and doing what I do best. I can't explain how excited I am!!" he added. Top stories Swipe. Select. Stay informed.
