Everything You Need To Know About Topshop's Catwalk Return
It's back! We're once again living in a time where Topshop thrives by creating major fashion moments in the beating heart of central London. On Saturday afternoon, hundreds gathered in Trafalgar Square to welcome the British stalwart back as it unveiled its new collection. ELLE was there front and centre of the action to take in the looks, understand the vibe and discover what's next for everyone's favourite accessible label. Here's everything you need to know — from the glitzy attendees to the styling tricks to note — about Topshop's second act. In a setting befitting Topshop's Great British status, the high-street brand chose London's Trafalgar Square for their long-awaited relaunch. In the shadow of The National Gallery, Nelson's column and the four plinths, fashion industry insiders and Topshop devotees enjoyed tunes from Norman Jay MBE and Melvo Baptise, of Good Times as the models walked out. Cara Delevingne (who is Topshop's face once again and curator for the brand), Adwoa Aboah and Alva Claire swapped the catwalk for the front row to take in the collection in the middle of Trafalgar Square. Together, the trio were fast to snap their favourite looks for future reference, while singing along to Beyoncé on the soundtrack. Each of the Brit models wore a Topshop look that befitted their personal style. Delevingne wore louche aubergine separates, Aboah wore a tailored jacket and midi skirt, while Claire styled it out in a polka dot skirt that featured in the show. Also in attendance? Sir Sadiq Khan, Mayor of London. Part-catwalk, part-zoo, the collection was chock-full of animalistic references. Featuring a zebra print mini, a cow print handbag and faux-fur coats and stoles aplenty, we know the streets of London will look go wild for the collection this AW. Proving themselves as the brand to go to for wardrobe staples, the Topshop runway was awash with denim. Leaving their classic Joni and Jamie jeans aside for the day, the high-street brand put denim to work showcasing a denim jumpsuit, which Farrah Fawcett herself would likely clamour to wear, and a denim mini dress-cum-jacket that was a real crowd pleaser, while the male models kept this cool in baggy 1990s-style fits. Fitting into a trend we're already expecting to take off for AW25, the Topshop collection also went in heavy on matching skirt sets. A particular standout was a natty turquoise skirt suit, worn with a tie and personality hat. Another great one that piqued the interest of ELLE's editors perched on the front row was a long-length brown mac worn with coordinating pencil skirt. It's a fail-safe way to achieve instant polish this winter. Daisy Murray is the Digital Fashion Editor at ELLE UK, spotlighting emerging designers, sustainable shopping, and celebrity style. ‘Bold and the Beautiful' Star Katherine Kelly Lang Reveals Reinvention Journey
'Bold and the Beautiful' Star Katherine Kelly Lang Reveals Reinvention Journey originally appeared on Parade. While The Bold and the Beautiful's Brooke Logan may be stuck in a repetitive cycle of romantic entanglements, her portrayer, Katherine Kelly Lang, is on a pathway of reinvention, taking on new and exciting roles and sharing her journey with her fans. Lang was recently interviewed by L'Officiel magazine. The actress discussed what it was that made her feel the need to go on this journey of reinvention. Lang shared, 'I think reinvention isn't a single moment — it's a rhythm.' She continued, 'For me, it started subtly, years ago. When you've played a character like Brooke Logan for so long, you're constantly evolving, but the real shift came when I realized that I also had stories to tell outside the script.' Lang has portrayed the role of Brooke Logan for the last 38 years on the CBS Daytime soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Where she remains one of two remaining original cast members, along with John McCook who plays her former father in law / ex-husband Eric Forrester. The actress continued to explain how she felt, adding, 'Personally and professionally, I began craving more freedom: to explore, to create, and to grow beyond the image people thought they knew. Reinvention became less about changing who I was and more about reclaiming all the parts of me that had been waiting quietly in the wings.' With this reinvention, Lang previously announced a new project, 'Beyond the Lens: Katherine Kelly Lang." Which is described as a short fashion film. Lang explained what she has planned for her future, sharing, 'I want to tell stories of reinvention of women who refuse to give up on themselves.' Continuing, 'Stories that don't shy away from complexity, aging, or truth. I hope my journey shows women that it's never too late to pivot, to dream bigger, to say 'yes' to themselves. We're not just here to survive, we're here to thrive. Lang shared what the driving factor for making this reinvention, 'Curiosity. Passion. And this unshakable belief that women don't have to be just one thing.' Lang has taken on the role of producer and entrepreneur, she shared, 'I thrive when I'm building something — whether it's a character, a brand, or a new opportunity for myself or others. Reinvention isn't a career strategy for me, it's a way of life. I want to keep expanding, keep surprising myself. There's still so much more I want to do.' New episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS and streams weeknights on Paramount+. Fans can experience episodes from the beginning of The Bold and the Beautiful on the series official YouTube channel. Neal Schon may be teasing a Journey offshoot. Here's what we know
Journey guitarist Neal Schon has sparked fan speculation with a cryptic social media post that many believe to be teasing a new offshoot band. Schon shared a blue and pink-hued graphic with the words 'Journey Beyond' to social media on Saturday, Aug. 9, captioning his X post, 'Into the future.' He also appears to have filed to protect the phrase with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The filing, made in April, notes that the phrase is "intended to cover the categories of musical sound recordings" including downloadable MP3 files, pre-recorded CDs and DVDs featuring music. Though it is still pending approval, Schon's recent post has excited fans of the 'Don't Stop Believin'' hitmakers, whose most recent album 'Freedom' released in 2022 after more than a decade. Many online were quick to point out that Journey Beyond was also the name of a tribute band launched by Joey Belladonna of the New York thrash metal band Anthrax, in 2020. The group was mainly focused on performing the San Francisco band's hits from the 1980s, and was later renamed Beyond Frontiers. It is unclear if Schon's Journey Beyond project is related. This isn't the first time that the musician has attempted to launch an offshoot of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame band. In 2018, he created the group Journey Through Time with his Journey bandmate drummer Deen Castronovo and its former keyboardist Gregg Rolie and former bassist Marco Mendoza. Schon then released the live album 'Journey Through Time' in 2023, pulling from a 2018 benefit concert for North Bay Fire Relief in San Francisco. Journey has had a relatively quiet year, with no major tour on the books and no upcoming shows listed on its website. The band's most recent performances include its 50th anniversary tour in 2024, with no Bay Area shows, and its co-headlining tour with British rock group Def Leppard, which stopped at San Francisco's Oracle Park last August.
