Kelly Clarkson cancels remainder of August Vegas shows
Aug. 7 (UPI) -- Singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson has canceled this month's concerts in Las Vegas to spend time with her children as their father, her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock, battles an undisclosed illness.
"Unfortunately, I need to postpone the remainder of the August Studio Session dates in Las Vegas," Clarkson announced on social media Wednesday.
"While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding."
The couple were married from 2013 through 2022 and share an 11-year-old daughter, River Rose, and 9-year-old son, Remington Alexander.

Clarkson previously delayed the July start of her residency at Caesars by a few days due to vocal issues.
The talk-show host and American Idol alum had been scheduled to perform at the venue through Aug. 17, then return in November.
NBC recently announced that Clarkson will join Season 29 of The Voice as a mentor next spring.

'The Paper' trailer: 'The Office' spinoff teases this character's return
"The Paper" is Peacock's new spinoff of "The Office," the original NBC sitcom which starred Steve Carell, John Krasinski, Rainn Wilson and Jenna Fischer. The creator of "The Office" is back to take on another struggling industry. Peacock has released the first trailer for "The Paper," the new spinoff of "The Office" that centers on a local newspaper in Toledo, Ohio. In the show, the same documentary crew that followed Dunder Mifflin's Scranton branch in "The Office" pursues a new subject: a publisher's attempt to revive the Toledo Truth Teller newspaper. While "The Paper" mostly features new characters, one "Office" alum returns: Oscar Nuñez as Oscar Martinez, who worked as an accountant at Dunder Mifflin Scranton. Oscar immediately recognizes the documentary team in the trailer, and he wants no part in their project. "Not again! I'm not agreeing to any of this," he tells the camera before cursing so they can't use his footage. Domhnall Gleeson stars in "The Paper" as the newspaper's new editor-in-chief, who makes it his mission to improve the publication. While the central comedy in "The Office" typically derived from Michael Scott (Steve Carell) being an incompetent manager, Gleeson's Ned Sampson appears to be a more capable and well-intentioned boss. CNN has reached out to Blackstone for comment. Clarkson had been set to kick off an 18-date new residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in July but delayed the start, citing vocal issues. She performed the first show a week later. The residency was set to take place through November 15. The couple share a daughter, River, born in 2014, and a son, Remington, known as Remy, born in 2016. Clarkson and Blackstock met at Super Bowl XLVI in February 2012 and married the following year. Seven years later Clarkson filed for divorce citing 'irreconcilable differences.' She and Blackstone, who had served as her manager, settled their contentious divorce in 2022 with Clarkson having to make a one-time payment of $1.3 million as well as paying her ex $115,000 in monthly spousal support until January 31, 2024 and a monthly child support payment of $45,601.

The preview features a neon red rose with Doja Cat's name written in cursive along the stem. The track will appear on her upcoming, "pop-driven" album, Vie, which is due sometime in the fall, Billboard reports. The songstress previously shared on X that she had finished the album.
