Six held over football match brawl in Kota Belud

KOTA BELUD: Six men have been arrested after a brawl broke out during a football match in Padang Dudan, Kampung Piasau here, yesterday.
The incident has gone viral.
The suspects, aged 24 to 42, were arrested about 12.10am today to assist in investigations.
District police chief Superintendent Shahrudin Mat Husain said police received a report about the incident at 4.30pm yesterday.
"Investigations found that the fight occurred during a football match at a field involving supporters from both teams.
"Six men were arrested. Investigations are being carried out under Section 147 of the Penal Code for rioting and disturbing public peace," he said today.
He advised the public not to speculate on the matter as it could affect the investigation.
"Anyone with information about the incident should go to the Kota Belud district police headquarters or contact investigating officer Inspector Christina Edris at 014-357 4148."
More than 10 people were involved in the altercation, according to a viral video clip of the incident.

Judge Haderiah Siri at the Sessions Court allowed bail at RM15,000 for all three charges, with conditions including no contact with prosecution witnesses and monthly reporting at the police station. Magistrate Sharda Shienha Mohd Suleiman set bail at RM6,000 for both charges, with similar conditions and weekly reporting. Both courts fixed Aug 26 for case mention.

KUALA SELANGOR: A teenage girl who initially complained of gastric pain while seeking treatment at Tanjong Karang Hospital was discovered to be a rape victim of her biological father. Kuala Selangor OCPD Supet Azaharudin Tajuddin said he received a report regarding the incident from the hospital at 5.07pm on Tuesday (July 29), reported Sinar Harian. According to him, the initial investigation found that the 17-year-old victim received treatment at the hospital at 6pm on Monday (July 28) after complaining of gastric pain. "However, the doctor's initial interview with the victim led to a shocking revelation when the teenager informed that her 51-year-old biological father had raped her," he said in a statement on Wednesday (July 30). According to him, following a police report, a team from the Kuala Selangor District Police Headquarters (IPD) arrested the suspect in the Bestari Jaya area here at 10.15pm the same day. He said the suspect, who works as a masseuse, was remanded for seven days until Aug 5. "The case is being investigated according to Section 376B of the Penal Code," he said.
