'She is — she's driving. She's the driver of the bus. So I respect that, and it's worked out pretty OK so far. So, if it ain't broke, I'm not trying to fix a beautiful thing,' he reflected.
Then, when asked how they maintain their family dynamic, he fully credits it to their son Walker. 'We both love Walker so much that it only works if we think about him first, and when we put him first,' Diggs happily said. 'We can't help but kind of respect each other and what we're all bringing.'
For those who don't know, Diggs and Menzel first met on the original Broadway production of Rent back in 1995. Eight years later, they married in Jan 2003. They welcomed their son Walker Nathaniel Diggs, born on Sept 2, 2009. However, the couple split up after a decade of marriage, with their divorce getting finalized in 2014.
In a previous interview with SheKnows, Diggs talked about how everything changes when you become a parent, and how each day is different.
'This is one thing that I'm sure about: the moment I think I have it figured out, I know I don't. So I do my best to kind of be in the moment and trust my experiences. I just gotta live with what happens afterwards where we're all doing the best we can. The way I was raised and the situation and the issues that that I had to deal with are completely different for him,' he said about his son Walker.Best of SheKnows

Kelly Clarkson says her ex-husband has been ill, postpones August concerts in Las Vegas

Kelly Clarkson shared that she is postponing the remainder of her 'Studio Session' concerts in Las Vegas for August as her family faces a difficult chapter. In an Instagram post shared Wednesday, Aug. 6, the singer said that she was postponing the August shows so that she could support her children as their father and Clarkson's ex-husband Brandon Blackstock has been unwell. 'While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children's father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them,' she wrote on Instagram. Clarkson and Blackstock divorced in March 2022, two years after announcing their separation. The couple shares two children: daughter River Rose, who was born in 2014, and son Remington Alexander, born in 2016. Clarkson lives with her children in New York City, where she also hosts her daytime talk show, 'The Kelly Clarkson Show.' The singer seemingly addressed her ex-husband through her music a number of times, both on her 2023 songs 'Mine' and 'Me' and her talk show when she revised the lyrics to Olivia Rodrigo's song 'abcdefu' during one of the host's 2023 performances. 'Forget you and your dad / And the fact you got half and my broken heart / Turned that (expletive) into art,' she sang at the time, which seemed to be a reference to her divorce settlement in which she had to issue a one-time payment of over $1 million to her ex-husband, along with monthly spousal support (until Jan. 31, 2024) and child support payments that amounted to over $160K. In an interview with Apple Music's Zane Lowe in June 2023, the Grammy winner said the split, in the end, was 'freeing.' 'It's incredibly sad, and it's a dark place — fetal position on the floor crying — and there's so much loss with that, and I never experienced grief like that,' she said. 'We got to let each other go. This is not working. This is not going to pan out, and it's not working for either of us.' Clarkson made headlines earlier this year for her absences from her talk show. From late February through March, she stepped away occasionally. During that time, guest hosts including Simu Liu, Roy Wood Jr. and even TODAY's Willie Geist filled in.

Liam Neeson Makes Rare Comment About Late Wife Natasha Richardson

Liam Neeson Makes Rare Comment About Late Wife Natasha Richardson originally appeared on Parade. Amid his new romance with Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson is looking back at his marriage to the late Natasha Richardson. Neeson — who stars alongside Anderson in The Naked Gun reboot that hits theaters Friday, August 1 — reminisced about his meet-cute with Richardson in a rare, personal reflection. Neeson and Richardson, who went on to marry and have two children before her death in 2009, first met while co-starring in the 1993 Broadway revival of the play Anna Christie. "It was great doing it every night with her and falling in love," the Taken star, 73, told The New York Timesabout his late wife in an interview published on Thursday, July 31. The actor, who tends to keep the details of his personal life as close to the vest as possible, reminisced about the beginning of his romance with Richardson in a tone that was nearly a whisper, the NYT noted. Neeson and Richardson, who went on to tie the knot in 2004, later welcomed sons Micheál and Daniel. Richardson was just 45 years old when she died in 2009 from a head injury in caused by a skiing accident. The Schindler's List actor notably brought Michael, now 30, and Daniel, now 28, as his dates to The Naked Gun premiere in New York City earlier this week. Anderson, for her part, brought her own two sons — Brandon, 28 and Dylan, 22 — whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee. Andy Cohen, who had been close friends with Richardson, even shared his own comparison of Anderson and the Tony winning-actress to Neeson at the time. "Natasha was a dear friend of mine and I'm gonna tell you something," the Watch What Happens Live host shared on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live. "As I was telling him at the premiere party, I go, 'Liam, she is an independent woman just like Tash was. She loves to cook. She has her own thing going on. She has two boys.'" While neither Neeson nor Anderson have officially confirmed their romance — artfully dodging the question presented to them on the Today show earlier this week — the duo can't stop gushing over each other (or being affectionate on the red carpet.) Even back in 2024, Neeson told People: "With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you," he gushed. "No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film."
