Horror footage has shown the moment three teenage girls ambushed a 75-year-old man and beat him to death - and filmed the brutal assault on their phones. A 15, 16 and 17 year old kicked and pushed "much loved father" Fredi Rivero by a bus stop in Islington, north London, around 11.35pm on Thursday, February 27.
Never seen before CCTV footage - which the Mirror has chosen not to share - shows the gang launching their attack on their innocent victim. The 75-year-old had just alighted a bus before he was unexpectedly ambushed. The Bolivian national sustained a severe head injury before going into a cardiac arrest.
The video appeared to show the oldest teenager punch Mr Rivero in the head which made him fall backwards and land on the pavement. He was rushed to the Royal London Hospital in east London but sadly died early the next morning.
The three teenagers were then spotted walking around with a vodka bottle in hand and all three were arrested shortly after the savage attack. Their identities have not been released due to their age.
After the teens were arrested, police found one of the girls had filmed the brutal ambush on her phone. The 17-year-old could be heard shouting and said, "I don't care" and "why are you chatting to little girls bruv".
The older girl then shouted: "Hit me I f***** dare you." On Thursday, the girls appeared at the Old Bailey before Judge Judy Khan KC via video link, and pleaded guilty to manslaughter.
Judge Khan ordered reports and remanded the defendants into custody to be sentenced on September 5. Mr Rivero's daughter, ex-wife and cousins attended court for the hearing on Thursday.
The victim was previously described as a "much loved father" by police who said his family had been "devastated by his death". Detective Inspector Devan Taylor, Specialist Crime said: "Mr Rivero was a much-loved family man who died in a truly tragic incident.
"I know how much his death has impacted those close to him and the wider community. I would like to offer my heart-felt sympathy to Mr Rivero's family for their loss and express my admiration for the dignity they have shown throughout the investigation.
"I also wish to thank the members of public who went to Mr Rivero's aid as he lay injured.
"The young defendants have now accepted they were responsible for the killing of Mr Rivero, in what was a senseless and completely out of the blue attack on a lone elderly man. The age of the defendants adds to the devastating nature of this incident and they will now have to deal with the enormity of their actions."
Mr Rivero is said to have spent over two decades working at five-star Dukes Hotel, near Buckingham Palace. His daughter, who did not want to be identified, told the Sunday Times earlier this year: "It's a senseless death. I don't know why they did what they did."
The daughter – who held her dad's hand as his life support was switched off – added: "My dad was a really decent person. He had lived in Britain for most of his life and loved this country. What happened is horrific."

Adele Tait, 47, and her partner Craig are believed to have been camping together. But when their family didn't hear from them, they became worried and reported their concerns to the police. The couple had failed to maintain contact after setting up camp last week on the shores of Loch Awe, near Dalmally, Argyll. Loch Awe is a globally renowned fishing destination, where fishermen flock in pursuit of the legendary Ferox Brown Trout, as well as pike and sea trout. Situated in the heart of Argyll and Bute in Scotland, it's a majestic freshwater lake famous for its rich history, vast size, and significant water catchment area. Stretching approximately 25 miles in length, Loch Awe holds the title as the longest freshwater loch in Scotland, meandering through the stunning landscapes of the Scottish Highlands. The trip would have been a delightful change of scenery for the couple who are believed to have lived together in a cottage in the village of Longridge, West Lothian. However, their journey ended in tragedy before the afternoon of Saturday, June 7 when Police Scotland officers found the couple's bodies. A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed there were no suspicious circumstances, reports the Mirror. Adele's heartbroken mother, Anne, shared a touching tribute on Facebook, accompanied by a photo of herself with her daughter, and wrote: "I am devastated to be writing this - my eldest daughter Adele and her partner Craig have sadly passed away. The family are heartbroken at this time. You are my firstborn, the one who made me a mum. I'm in pieces, another part of my heart is in heaven." One friend reminisced about countryside strolls with Adele, posting photos and expressing: "Thank you for always being an amazing friend, always honest and caring." A Longridge neighbour recalled the couple fondly, remarking: "They were a good couple who liked camping. It's a tragedy." Police Scotland has issued a statement regarding the deaths of Adele and Craig: "A man and woman were found deceased within a tent on the side of Loch Awe at 4.25pm on Saturday. This news comes shortly after the discovery of a body in a wooded area near Falkirk, believed to be that of Cole Cooper, a 19-year-old who went missing last month. Police Scotland has informed Cole's family of the find, although formal identification has yet to take place. The incident occurred at the Skegness holiday park last month while Sophie, 38, was with her two children. Sophie alleges that the pushchair was pinched from the trolley area outside the swimming pool. Struggling to return to their flat with her 10 year old daughter and four year old son, Sophie reached out to Butlin's for assistance but claims she was advised to rent one for the remainder of their stay at a cost of £21. To add insult to injury, three days later, her pram was discovered with a post-it note attached stating: "Loaned for 5 min, sorry + thank you." The single mother shared her ordeal with Manchester Evening News, saying: "It was more the inconvenience of it. I'm disabled, so is my daughter. We came out of swimming carrying a heavy bag of wet clothes and had to phone Butlin's for someone to come and help me because I only made it half way back to the apartment. "My daughter, was overly distressed by the situation. We had to hire another one. They wouldn't even look at the CCTV." Sophie, from Derbyshire, suggested to the company that a ticket system should be implemented for collecting prams to prevent future thefts, but claims they "aren't interested", reported the Mirror. "Three days after it went it was thrown over the swimming pool fence into the external pram park with a note saying it had been borrowed for five minutes," she recounted. "A friend of mine found it and when we went to pick it up. We heard on the walkie talkies that another pram had just gone, it happens all the time." The mum expressed her discomfort upon retrieving the stroller, saying she "wasn't even that happy to have it back" after it had been in someone else's possession. "I felt utterly violated," she explained. "My little boy's pram had been in someone else's apartment and they had been using it. I felt so scummy using it." Sophie, who visited the holiday park in mid-May, took to a Butlin's Skegness Resort Facebook community page to expose the theft, which led to an uproar among parents who were appalled by the audacity of taking another's pram. One parent decried the lack of security, stating, "Scum, it's about time Butlin's had CCTV or even security in buggy areas," while another was baffled by the act: "How on earth can someone actually think that's ok to do that,". Another parent scrutinised the thief's motives, commenting, "The question is whoever has borrowed it, why have they gone away without a pram if they need one. Very entitled behaviour and I'd be fuming." The Mirror has sought Butlins' response to the incident.
