Brit gangster pictured for first time in years - he spent £1,000s to change face

Steven Lyons, who has been living abroad for nearly 20 years, has changed his appearance by getting 'extensive cosmetic work done' including Botox, a source said
Scottish crime boss Steven Lyons has been pictured for the first time after allegedly spending thousands of pounds changing his appearance.
Lyons, 44, has had fillers, Botox and dental treatment, the new snaps - the first pictures of him in a decade - show. The snaps also show his friend Ross Monaghan, who was shot dead alongside Eddie Lyons Jnr in a bar in Fuengirola on the Costa del Sol in Spain on May 31, while they attended a festive party in the United Arab Emirates in December.

In 2006, the head of the Lyons crime gang fled Scotland for Spain after being shot twice - he then moved to Dubai. As photos of him emerged, a source said he has had extensive facial treatments.

Speaking to the Daily Record, the source said: "Steven has made millions since he fled Scotland, albeit he recently lost a couple of large consignments. So getting extensive cosmetic work done is no issue.
"His cheeks have very noticeably been pumped full of filler. He's had regular Botox on his forehead and around his eyes. And his teeth would give Katie Price's a run for their money."

It is estimated that a single treatment of cheek fillers can cost around £1,000 in the UAE, while forehead Botox costs about £200 per session. The treatment needs to be continued every six months to maintain the look. Dental work runs into thousands of pounds depending on the nature of the treatment.
Before these photos emerged, the last widely circulated image of Steven was taken in 2008. In one of the new images, Lyons can be seen standing with two associates. In the photo, he appears to be protecting his leg which was blasted during an assassination bid in 2006.
The source said: "Steven's leg has not been the same since he was shot. It was broken and he was in plaster for 12 weeks. He struggles to walk comfortably and has to go downstairs in a weird way." Another image shows Lyons smiling while leaning over a friend for a selfie. The pal also posed in another photo with Monaghan.
Lyons, the son of former boss Eddie Lyons Snr, is understood to still be the head of the Lyons family despite fleeing Scotland almost two decades ago, according to the Record. The publication also reported that Lyons didn't attend the funeral of Monaghan, 43, and his brother last week over fears he would be targeted by hitmen.
The insider said: "Eyebrows have been raised about Steven not going to the funeral of his own brother and best pal. He didn't return for his sister's either back in 2020 so it wasn't a huge surprise though. There was a livestream link so he watched it on that. With everything that's been going on and the warning issued it was too big of a risk for him to return."

Kneecap shout out surprise 'head of PR' as Glasgow gig sells out

The group previously announced that they would be taking to the stage at the OVO Hydro on November 30, their biggest gig in the city to date. Presale tickets were available from 10am on Tuesday, July 16, and on general sale from 10am on Friday, July 18. Ticket prices were expected to range from £53.60 to £64.95. In a post on Instagram, the group thanked fans for their support and jokingly thanked Scotland's First Minister. It reads: 'Glasgow, sold out in a few hours. 13,000 Scottish comrades, let's go. A very special thank you to our head of PR in Scotland, Mr John Swinney. 'Best in the business.' The comments came after Swinney called for Kneecap to be dropped from the TRNSMT festival line-up, due to an investigation by counter-terror police into band member Liam Og O hAnnaidh. The First Minister had raised concerns about comments from the band, which he said were 'beyond the pale' after footage allegedly showing one member saying 'the only good Tory is a dead Tory'. After the trio were cut from the event, they announced a headline gig at the city's O2 Academy on July 8. Tickets for this show sold out "in just 80 seconds". Around 10 minutes into their performance, the group asked the crowd: "What's your First Minister's name?". They then swore before adding: "They stopped us playing TRNSMT, but they can't stop us playing Glasgow." In response, Swinney said the public should focus on what rap group Kneecap are concerned about, particularly genocide in Gaza, rather than their comments. 'I understand I got a mention,' he said. 'What I'd say is that the last thing I want to be commenting on is about bands, I want people to enjoy their music and make their choices. 'But if bands say things that cause widespread concern, there shouldn't be a surprise to bands that I get asked about them.'

Lewis Capaldi tickets and how to get yours for Cardiff concert

Earlier this month, Scottish sensation Lewis Capaldi made a surprise comeback on a Glastonbury stage, marking his first public appearance since taking a hiatus from the spotlight. Now, he's back with a renewed vigour; announcing a new single, album, and a series of tour dates scheduled for September this year in the process. This autumn, the Someone You Loved singer will be hitting some massive venues. This list includes London's O2 Arena, Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena and Cardiff's Utilita Arena. However, tickets for the arena tour were snapped up in record time, selling out swiftly as fans rushed to secure their spots. Despite an impressive offering of over 300,000 tickets across 17 dates, supply couldn't meet the overwhelming demand. Fortunately, tickets have now surfaced on various online retail platforms, including viagogo and Seat Unique, among others. Here's the breakdown of what fans need to know now. Viagogo and resale tickets Sites such as viagogo, Stubhub, and Vivid Seats allow fans to buy resale tickets from other fans. However, it is important to note that ticket conditions often prohibit resale after initial purchase. Those tickets may not be valid for admittance to gigs. Fans intending to buy tickets for live events through resale websites should check the ticket terms and conditions, to confirm whether resale is prohibited, before they buy. Ticket terms and conditions can be checked with the original seller, such as Ticketmaster or Live Nation. If resale is prohibited, tickets bought second-hand could be voided and admission to the event refused. How to buy Lewis Capaldi tickets now Tickets for Lewis Capaldi's concerts are currently up for grabs from various online outlets, including both official and resale platforms. The latter of which are fans' best bet to secure tickets at the drop of a hat. What's more, at present, resale platforms such as StubHub are offering tickets at approximately £150 each. Here are the links: For those keen on buying from official retailers, there are still options available there as well. While Ticketmaster may yet release more tickets (or put resale tickets on sale), none are available as of right now. With that said, it is worth keeping an eye on the ticketing giant's website for new additions to the website. Meanwhile, Seat Unique is stepping into the breach. This official retailer specialises in VIP and hospitality tickets, some of which come with complimentary food and drink, premium views, box seats, and much more. And, at the time of writing, they have plenty of tickets available right now, including some which come with early access to the venue, pre-gig entertainment, and access to VIP lounge areas. Here are the links for both: TICKETMASTER - Lewis Capaldi tickets.
