"It's in the name, people—an eye mask designed for jet lag. They're like cups of coffee for your under-eyes," Associate Fashion Commerce Editor Stephanie Meraz says of these cooling eye patches from Summer Fridays. Having tried them myself, too, I can confirm that they take care of post-flight puffiness in a flash. And since this pack comes with six pairs included, you'll be set for all of your summer travels.

Merit
Another find from Meraz (who also tested a bunch of other travel-friendly products from the brand), this Merit complexion stick is a must-add to your makeup bag. "[This is] my holy grail and literally the easiest thing to blend out, especially if you're in a rush to sightsee! I love that it acts as a concealer but can be built up to double as a foundation," she explains. It comes in 30 different shades, too, so you're sure to find one that perfectly blends with your skin tone.

You might have seen me rave over my love of Lush products before, so it comes as no surprise that I always pick up a bottle of the brand's famous Sleepy body wash before a trip. The lavender blend scent is super calming and I love indulging in it after a long day out exploring. Plus the 3.3-ounce size just makes the TSA requirement, so I can easily pack it in my carry-on.

The Outset
"The Outset travel set is my fave travel beauty buy ever," says PureWow Senior Commerce Editor Stephanie Maida. "It comes complete with a cleanser, serum and moisturizer, and they're all formulated to calm skin—something I definitely need since my skin tends to freak out while traveling. The products deliver an instant dose of hydration (a must after sitting in that dry plane air for hours), and a little goes a long way. Plus, you cannot beat the price." Well, into my cart it goes.

Whether you're headed to a sunny beach or to check another national park off your list, SPF is a necessity. "I pack a stupid amount of SPF every time I travel," shares PureWow Fashion Editor Abby Hepworth. She goes on to explain, "My favorite will always be EltaMD. It goes on smooth, doesn't leave a white cast and works super well with my makeup." Not to mention, this mineral sunscreen offers SPF40 coverage, plus nourishing ingredients like ginger root extract and squalane to smooth and moisturize your skin. It's skincare and sun-care in one.

Noteworthy
I've tried a bunch of perfumes over the years, but I keep coming back to Notworthy's n,290. This mini eau de parfum is the perfect size to throw in my purse, both when I'm on the go at home or traveling, since it doesn't take up any more space than your average lipstick. It has a twist-up top so it never accidentally sprays in my bag, and you can easily refill it—or try out one of the other incredible scents (I'm eyeing the spa-worthy n,470 for my next buy).

Tatcha
PureWow Senior Director of Special Projects and Royals Rachel Bowie never leaves this nourishing lip mask from Tatcha behind. "I am BEYOND obsessed with this lip mask—it is so hydrating and non-tacky and really does deliver a gorgeous gloss-like effect that plumps my pout. Perfect to stash in your carry-on after a flight or even just for daily use after summer days in the sun," she raves. And she's not the only one who loves it. Plenty of shoppers (I'm talking thousands here) say it's super moisturizing, and since my own lips are constantly dry, I'll definitely be picking up a jar of this ASAP—and you might want to, too.

This compact little blush stick will definitely be coming with me on my next summer trip. It takes up practically no space in my toiletry bag and I love the way it goes on as a powder that I can just blend with my fingers (so there's no need to pack a bulky blush brush, too). It comes in a bunch of shades ranging from bright pink to a subtle nude and everything in between.

"I need something [while I'm away] to keep my hair in shape and this lasts FOREVER," says PureWow SEO Editor Marissa Wu. "[A] little goes such a long way [and] the hold is great, even for longer hair. I just work it through and then blow dry/style per usual. And since it's a solid, [I don't have to worry] about TSA confiscating [it]." Plenty of R+Co reviewers also say it adds a good amount of shine to their hair, which is always a bonus if you ask me.

"When jet lag kicks in (and brings out those dark circles and eye bags) I have my Caudalie Resveratrol-Lift depuffing eye cream at the ready," shares Maida. "The formula is so lightweight, so it soaks right into my skin, and the cooling metal applicator tip works wonders to de-puff and energize [my under-eyes.]" This cream offers much more than instant relief, though, with ingredients like resveratrol, hyaluronic acid and vegan collagen that help to tackle wrinkles and firm the skin with regular use.

If there's only one skincare set I'm packing, it's this one from Osea that has a bunch of the brand's fan-favorite products in one bundle (and for less than $50 at that). It includes the Undaria algae body oil that always makes me feel like I just stepped out of the spa, an Ocean face cleanser, Atmosphere Protection face cream and hyaluronic Sea serum—I mean, what else could you need?!
$44 at Ulta
Aēsop
Listen, I know this is a bit of a splurge for a travel-sized shampoo (it's TSA-friendly at 3.3-ounces, BTW)—especially if you pick up the complementing conditioner, too—but whenever I want to treat myself while I'm away, I always pick up a set and have yet to regret it. The formula leaves my hair feeling so soft, while the citrus/woodsy scent (which is a blend of bergamot rind, frankincense and cedar atlas, per the brand) smells incredible. Honestly, if I could use this every day I would, but since the full-size bottle is pretty pricey, this feels like the perfect compromise.

As for PureWow VP of Editorial Candace Davison's go-to? "I impulse-bought [this] Sun Belt Sampler last year, and it became my travel MVP," she shares. "It has everything you need for a sunny vacay (all in TSA-friendly sizes—sunscreen, face mist and aloe-based After Sun gel included). Plus, they're all housed in a clear belt bag that can double as a toiletries bag for packing and a stadium-friendly bag for catching a concert or game." Talk about thoughtful packaging.

TSA approves Real ID alternative for iPhone users — but only for certain types of travel
Your passport's going digital — but don't go tossing the hard copy just yet. Apple just unveiled a buzzy new feature that'll let iPhone users upload their passport into Apple Wallet this fall, turning their device into a one-stop-shop for jet-setting — at least within U.S. borders. The new digital passport will be accepted at TSA checkpoints, making those airport security lines just a little less painful. Advertisement 3 Apple's latest trick? Turning your iPhone into a passport. The tech giant's rolling out a flashy new feature this fall that lets users stash their passport in Wallet — but don't pack your bags for Paris just yet. It only works for travel in the good ol' U.S. of A. Boston Globe via Getty Images 'While not a replacement for your physical passport, digital ID can be used for domestic travel and at supported TSA checkpoints,' an Apple spokesperson said during the company's latest splashy event, as reported by USA TODAY. This means that shiny new digital document won't take you around the world, but it'll breeze you through security on your next short hop — no fumbling in your bag required. Advertisement The rollout comes on the heels of the REAL ID enforcement kicking in this May, which had travelers scrambling to figure out whether their driver's license was compliant — or whether they'd need to whip out a passport just to fly from LAX to LaGuardia. Now, Apple's hoping to smooth things out by making travel 'just tap and go.' Along with the digital ID debut, Apple is also giving its Wallet app a travel-friendly facelift — refreshing boarding passes and amping up other in-flight features for the modern road warrior. Advertisement As per SF Gate, Apple recently noted in a statement that their new Digital ID 'offers a secure and private new way for users to store and present their ID information using their iPhone and Apple Watch.' The company went on to note that users will be able to 'seamlessly create and add a Digital ID to Apple Wallet using a U.S. passport.' But before you bench the little blue book for good, be warned — the TSA says that the Digital ID presented at TSA checkpoints 'provide identity verification for domestic travel only, and it is not a replacement for your physical Passport.' The agency continued in a statement to SF Gate, 'It is important to have the physical U.S. Passport available in case it is needed, and a physical U.S. Passport is still required for international travel.' Advertisement 3 Don't ditch that little blue book just yet — the TSA says Apple's new Digital ID might get you through domestic security, but it won't fly overseas. Jenna Hidinger Photo – 3 Apple's not stopping at digital IDs — they're giving the Wallet app a major glow-up, upgrading boarding passes and packing in new in-flight perks for today's jet-setting warriors. Getty Images Last month, scammers made headlines as they swooped in as frazzled New York flyers raced to meet the Real ID deadline on May 7. As The Post previously reported, shady websites were duping Americans with bogus promises of fast-track IDs — even though the only legit way to get one was by hauling yourself to the DMV. Desperate flyers looking for a workaround even began circulating rumors that a Costco membership card would be accepted as a substitute for official documents. 'We love hotdogs & rotisserie chickens as much as the next person but please stop telling people their Costco card counts as a Real ID because it absolutely does not,' the TSA reminded travelers last week.

Did You Know? You Can Bring Water Through TSA—but You'll Need the Right Bottle
Staying properly hydrated in the summer can already be difficult, but the Transportation Security Administration (TSA)'s strict rules surrounding liquids can make it even harder to keep your thirst quenched while traveling. Bottled water at the airport can cost a pretty penny, and since all carry-on liquids must adhere to the 3-1-1 rule—that is, every one person only gets one bag containing liquids, and those liquids must be in bottles of 3.4 ounces or less—sneaking in a fresh bottle of Evian is clearly out of the question. However, we've recently discovered a genius way to get around this rule and get water through airport security: And it's so simple, you might be angry you didn't think of it sooner. You can sneak H2O through security by just freezing it. That's right—you can bring in a full bottle of water through TSA, so long as it's frozen solid. 'Frozen liquid items are allowed through the checkpoint as long as they are frozen solid when presented for screening,' a U.S. TSA spokesperson previously shared with CNN. Keep scrolling for eight reusable water bottles you can safely use to get frozen water through TSA, plus our tips on how to get frozen water through TSA hassle-free. Ahead, you'll find squishy, foldable silicone bottles, durable, brand-name plastic bottles, and even water bottles that perform double-duty as facial misters—all starting at $13 at Amazon. You should only freeze water in food-grade, BPA-free plastic or silicone reusable water bottles, and you should aim to fill them only two-thirds of the way full with water before freezing, to prevent the bottle from breaking. This is because when water freezes, it expands. If you fill your water bottle to the top, it will have no room to expand and may crack or damage even the most durable, flexible plastic water bottles. We hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we strongly don't recommend freezing your beloved Stanley insulated bottle (sorry!). Metal, insulated, and glass water bottles can become deformed or even shatter due to the frozen water expanding inside, regardless of how full it is, which is why many popular brands like Owala and Camelbak warn against freezing their insulated, glass, or steel bottles. Unfortunately, if your water thaws before you make it through TSA, you'll likely be asked to dump it out. For this security checkpoint hack to work, the water in your water bottle must be fully frozen into a solid state. 'If frozen liquid items are partially melted, slushy, or have any liquid at the bottom of the container, they must meet 3-1-1 liquids requirements,' that aforementioned TSA spokesperson shared with CNN. Considering most water bottles far exceed the 3.4-ounce liquid cutoff, you'll probably have to say 'sayonara' to your not-so-frozen carry-on water. Now that you know how to master this packing hack, it's time to find the perfect water bottle for your next trip. Keep scrolling to explore the top-rated options at Amazon that will make great travel companions this summer. This freezer-friendly Tupperware water bottle was specifically designed to be frozen and reused time and time again. It features a leak-proof flip-top spout, ergonomic ridges for comfortable holding, and a max-fill line that tells you where to stop filling it with water to allow it to expand when frozen. Once you've arrived at your destination, you can use this O2cool water bottle as a personal mister for an instant cool down. This genius BPA-free reusable water bottle has a misting mechanism next to its pull-top spout that, when squeezed, delivers a cooling mist—a welcome reprieve from hot, sweltering summer afternoons. Nalgene is best known for its wide variety of colorful, plastic water bottles, and this Tritan option has the same streamlined design that Nalgene fans know and love. It comes in a wide variety of fun color combinations, so you'll never confuse your bottle with someone else's, and it's made from a BPA-free, 50 percent recycled plastic material. Need some extra motivation to drink water? This Sahara Sailor water bottle is the one for you. The exterior is lined with timed markings and motivational phrases like 'keep chugging' and 'don't give up' that can help you meet your daily water goals. Yeti loyalists, rejoice: The renowned cooler and insulated water bottle brand also has a plastic, freezeable option. Available in four sizes and 14 color options, this bottle has a simple design featuring a leak-proof, screw-top lid. Over 36,000 Amazon shoppers have given this 32-ounce reusable water bottle a perfect five-star rating for functionality, durability, and convenience. Available in nine vibrant colors and equipped with a flip-top chug lid and printed measurements on the side, this bottle makes it easy to stay hydrated from takeoff to touchdown. Once you're done drinking from this squishy silicone water bottle, you can flatten it, roll it up, and throw it in your bag for later use. This reusable 12-ounce bottle can fit in your pocket, and Amazon reviewers say it's the perfect lightweight solution for day hikes, music festivals, and even ski trips come winter. This packable, food-grade silicone water bottle from Taketoday has a detachable straw, a leak-proof locking cap, and can be neatly rolled up to take up less space in your carry-on, hiking pack, or crossbody bag, making it a great companion for every leg of your trip.
