Case against Manitowoc man charged with 10 counts of possessing child porn set for preliminary hearing
Justin J. Zipperer, 39, appeared before Manitowoc County Circuit Court Judge Anthony Lambrecht for an initial appearance June 9. Zipperer was represented by attorney Shane Laughton Brabazon and Assistant District Attorney Marconi de Franca Barros represented the state. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for 3 p.m. July 24.
Zipperer was arrested June 3 after an investigation that began April 28. He appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court June 4 and was given a $5,000 cash bond, which he posted. As a part of his bond, he is to have no contact with anyone younger than 18 and is not to possess any internet-enabled devices.
Manitowoc Police Department identified Zipperer as a school bus driver who provided transportation for students in the Valders Area School District.

A probable cause statement from police said a detective received a cyber tip from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children referencing a Dropbox account and apparent child sexual abuse materials.
The Dropbox account was traced to Zipperer, and the probable cause statement said a file in the cyber tip report 'depicted pubescent minors engaged in a sex act.'
After obtaining a search warrant, investigators reviewed the Dropbox records and found media files that included nude photos of Zipperer and 21 videos depicting child sexual abuse material, the probable cause statement said.
June 3, officers and detectives executed a search warrant at Zipperer's home, where they took possession of his phone and other electronic devices. The probable cause statement said a forensic review of those devices 'still needs to be completed.'

Zipperer, according to the probable cause statement, 'admitted to possessing and viewing' child sexual abuse material 'but denied sharing CSAM online and denied possessing additional CSAM in any of his electronic devices.'

BLANDING, Utah () — A Blanding man has been arrested for allegedly having a 'secret relationship' with a 16-year-old and encouraging her to send him explicit sexual photos, which are considered child sexual abuse material (CSAM) due to her age. Kerry Dean Benally, 30, was booked into the San Juan County Jail on five counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, five counts of distributing material harmful to a minor, and five counts of unlawful sexual contact with a 16 to 17-year-old. Charges have not been formally filed by the county attorney yet. According to court documents, on June 4, 2025, a 16-year-old victim was interviewed at the Children's Justice Center after the Blanding Police Department was made aware of a possible sex offense committed against her by a 30-year-old man. The victim told police that she had been communicating and spending time with Benally. Documents say that she would not go into detail about those nights, but did confirm they had slept in the same bed. Documents say that the victim was told that she and Benally 'needed to keep their relationship a secret from other people.' The usernames for Benally and the 16-year-old were obtained, and the Blanding Police Department filed a search warrant. Two days later, on June 6, the search warrant for the Instagram accounts was returned. In the messages, police located CSAM created of the teenage victim, as well as explicit sexual photos Benally sent to the victim of himself. Throughout the conversation, Benally repeatedly asked the victim for sexual photos and had explicit conversations with her. He also discussed the five times that they had met in person, and spoke about having illegal sexual relations with the minor during those times. On Aug. 12, an officer with the Blanding Police Department was 'able to locate Kerry [Benally] while he was driving.' The officer knew that Benally had a warrant for a previous incident, and was driving without a valid driver's license. When they arrived, the officer began asking questions about his 'relationship' with the 16-year-old victim. Benally allegedly stated that he 'knew of her' and was 'talking to her a little bit' through Instagram. Through further questioning, Benally admitted that they had started talking in February, but claimed he stopped talking to her when he 'found out how old she was.' He also claimed she once told him she was 19. The 30-year-old told the officer that while she was at his family member's trailer, he had gone home and let her stay there alone. The officer told Benally that he had the messages between them and 'confronted him about lying.' Benally admitted that he knew the victim was 16 and that he had continued sending and receiving graphic sexual photos despite her age. Benally was booked into the San Juan County Jail, where he is currently being held without bail. Charges are allegations only. WEST HAVEN, Utah () — The West Haven man accused of sending and receiving child sexual abuse material (CSAM) through social media has pleaded guilty to three of the . Andres Rafael Diaz, 36, pleaded guilty to one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, a first-degree felony, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, a second-degree felony. He pleaded not guilty to the remaining 19 charges — nine counts of sexual exploitation of a minor and 10 counts of unlawful distribution of an intimate image — and they were dismissed with prejudice as part of the plea agreement. Utah law states that for his first-degree felony conviction, he can be sentenced to five years to life in prison. For his two second-degree felony convictions of sexual exploitation of a minor, he can be sentenced from 1 to 15 years in prison. Over a year, several search warrants and court orders finally led investigators to connect the account to Diaz. During the investigation, they received more tip lines, also confirmed to be connected to Diaz. The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force executed a search warrant at Diaz's residence and made contact with him. Documents say that he admitted to owning the accounts and sending and receiving CSAM on the social media platform. He told investigators he was 'unsure how many files of CSAM he sent to other users, but that it was a lot.' Through social media, Diaz allegedly had graphic sexual conversations about underage children — including some that he knew in person — with other users. Murray woman charged for creating, distributing CSAM online, documents say

MURRAY, Utah () — A Murray woman has been arrested and charged after the FBI discovered she had created and distributed child sexual abuse material (CSAM) online. A 31-year-old woman, whom ABC4 is not identifying to protect the identity of the victim, has been charged with one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child and one count of aggravated sexual exploitation of a minor, both first-degree felonies. According to court documents, on Aug. 6, 2025, the FBI Child Exploitation and Human Trafficking Task Force (CEHTTF) in Utah was contacted by FBI agents in Florida regarding an account uploading CSAM to an online forum. The Florida FBI Field Office had investigated, and determined that the account owner was posting from somewhere in Utah. The CEHTTF reviewed the images posted on the account and discovered a photo of a woman who they believed owned the account, later identified as the 31-year-old. She allegedly included a caption that identified herself as a pedophile. READ NEXT: West Haven man pleads guilty to sending and receiving CSAM through social media Using that photo and other information from the account, law enforcement determined that the account belonged to the 31-year-old woman, who lived in Murray. They tracked down her address and served a search warrant on Aug. 8, two days after the initial tip from the Florida FBI. Law enforcement took the woman's electronic devices and cell phone. She was detained, and the CEHTTF conducted an interview with her. The 31-year-old allegedly admitted that she did download and post CSAM on her account. During the interview, the woman also admitted that she had sexually abused a minor child that she knew and had access to, who was under 14. According to documents, the 31-year-old recorded the sexual abuse and claimed that she had uploaded that video around 200 times, posting it or sending it to other users. Law enforcement made contact with the minor victim, who confirmed that they had been sexually abused by the 31-year-old woman. The woman was arrested and booked into the Salt Lake County Jail, where she is currently being held on a no-bail warrant due to her risk to the victim and other children. Charges are allegations only. All arrested persons are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
