Manitowoc County school bus driver arrested for possession of child pornography
MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 39-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant revealed he was in possession of child pornography, authorities said. According to a release, the Manitowoc Police Department launched an investigation based on a CyberTip from the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Manhunt underway for father accused of murdering his three daughters; former Wisconsin resident The CyberTip indicated that a cloud storage account user attempted to share a file from the account. Investigators reviewed the file and confirmed it was a video depicting child sexual abuse material. Through the investigation, police identified the owner of the Dropbox account as Justin J. Zipperer of Manitowoc. Authorities determined the account contained numerous video files depicting child sexual abuse material. On Tuesday, officers executed search warrants at a residence in the 300 block of Riverview Drive and at a business in the City of Manitowoc where Zipperer was formerly employed. During the searches, officers seized numerous electronic devices. Zipperer was contacted and admitted to possessing and viewing the child sexual abuse material, according to police. He was taken into custody and booked into the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography. Reports of vehicle break-ins leads Kewaskum officers on search for 'discarded' loaded firearm Authorities noted that the purpose of the release is to identify any additional potential victims. Through the investigation, police learned that Zipperer worked as a school bus driver and had transported students in the Valders Area School District. Manitowoc man arrested May 14 faces 10 counts of possessing child pornography
MANITOWOC – A 27-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested May 14 on suspicion of uploading 137 files of child pornography to his Google account. According to the arrest record, the files uploaded triggered a CyberTip of suspected child pornography that was sent to a detective with the Manitowoc Police Department. The police connected the reported Google account to Zachariah R. Breihof. Read more: Manitowoc's top news in April included election results, a new superintendent & more During a search of Breihof's residence, police also found firearms and journal notebooks labeled "Zach B's Journal/Fantasy Log." Entries in the notebooks detail sexually explicit fantasies, along with a description of what triggered the fantasies and why they are inappropriate. Breihof was charged in Manitowoc County Circuit Court with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possession of a firearm while convicted of a felony. He is in custody at Manitowoc County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond and is expected to appear for an initial appearance May 19. No defense attorney is listed for Breihof. Manitowoc police seek surveillance camera footage after shot fired Sunday night
MANITOWOC – Emphasizing there is no threat to the community, police are seeking the public's help in an investigation after a gun was fired near 1600 Galax Drive Sunday night. According to a Manitowoc Police Department news release, officers and Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of 1600 Galax Drive at around 11:45 p.m. April 13 for the report of a woman giving a firearm to a neighbor and stating a man was trying to kill her. Police said initial investigation revealed one gunshot had been fired and a man could be seen on security footage having the gun pointed at him while he ran from the location. As of Monday morning, police said the man had not yet been located. Officers checked the area with use of K-9 Rolo and a drone from the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office, but were unable to locate the man. Manitowoc Police Department requests help locating person of interest in gunfire incident
MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Manitowoc say they are asking for the public's help in finding a person of interest involved in a gunshot incident Sunday night after a woman claimed he was trying to kill her. According to a release from the Manitowoc Police Department, officers, along with Manitowoc County deputies, responded at 11:44 p.m. to the area of 1600 Galax Drive for reports of a woman giving firearms to a neighbor because a man was allegedly trying to kill her. Following an initial investigation, it was determined that only one shot was fired and a man could be seen in security footage having the gun aimed at him as he appeared to run from the location. Officers used K9 Rolo and a drone from the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office but the man still has yet to be found or identified at this time. The Manitowoc Police Department is asking anyone who lives in the area of the 1600 block of Galax Drive to check their home surveillance camera from 11:30 to 11:45 p.m. Sunday night. Anyone who checks their surveillance camera and can hear a loud noise or gunshot and/or can spot any people or vehicles in that time frame, specifically a man wearing a dark shirt and jeans running, is asked to immediately contact the department. Manitowoc PD launch death investigation, person found dead in wooded area
MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department have begun a death investigation after a person was found dead in a wooded area Wednesday morning. According to a release, first responders were called to a wooded area off of South Lake Street in Manitowoc around 9:50 a.m. on March 12 after a person was found dead. Officers' preliminary investigation did not indicate any foul play, with authorities saying there is no threat to the public due to it being an isolated incident.
