Manitowoc PD seeks info on dog after man bitten at Trails End Trailer Park
MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – Officers with the Manitowoc Police Department are investigating a dog bite incident after a man was reportedly bitten by a loose dog while getting into his truck on Wednesday morning. Officers say the incident happened around 6:20 a.m. on June 25 when a dog bit a 39-year-old Manitowoc man while he was getting into his truck in the 2000 block of Johnston Drive in Trails End Trailer Park. Waupaca Police Department to begin using electric bicycles After biting the man, the dog was seen running to the northwest side of a pond at Trails End Trailer Park. The dog was described as a black Bully Mix (not a Pitbull, but similar), with a long snout, that was roughly 75 pounds, with a blue collar and two tags. Officers say that one of the tags appeared to be a rabies tag, and the other appeared to be a homemade tag. Case against Manitowoc man charged with 10 counts of possessing child porn set for preliminary hearing
MANITOWOC – A preliminary hearing has been set in the case against a Manitowoc man and Valders school bus driver charged with 10 counts of felony possession of child pornography. Justin J. Zipperer, 39, appeared before Manitowoc County Circuit Court Judge Anthony Lambrecht for an initial appearance June 9. Zipperer was represented by attorney Shane Laughton Brabazon and Assistant District Attorney Marconi de Franca Barros represented the state. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for 3 p.m. July 24. Zipperer was arrested June 3 after an investigation that began April 28. He appeared in Manitowoc County Circuit Court June 4 and was given a $5,000 cash bond, which he posted. As a part of his bond, he is to have no contact with anyone younger than 18 and is not to possess any internet-enabled devices. Manitowoc Police Department identified Zipperer as a school bus driver who provided transportation for students in the Valders Area School District. Read more: Two Rivers woman in court on charges of abandoning dog to die in Two Rivers apartment A probable cause statement from police said a detective received a cyber tip from the Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation and the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children referencing a Dropbox account and apparent child sexual abuse materials. The Dropbox account was traced to Zipperer, and the probable cause statement said a file in the cyber tip report 'depicted pubescent minors engaged in a sex act.' After obtaining a search warrant, investigators reviewed the Dropbox records and found media files that included nude photos of Zipperer and 21 videos depicting child sexual abuse material, the probable cause statement said. June 3, officers and detectives executed a search warrant at Zipperer's home, where they took possession of his phone and other electronic devices. The probable cause statement said a forensic review of those devices 'still needs to be completed.' Manitowoc County school bus driver arrested for possession of child pornography
MANITOWOC, Wis. (WFRV) – A 39-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested Tuesday after a search warrant revealed he was in possession of child pornography, authorities said. According to a release, the Manitowoc Police Department launched an investigation based on a CyberTip from the Wisconsin Department of Justice and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Manhunt underway for father accused of murdering his three daughters; former Wisconsin resident The CyberTip indicated that a cloud storage account user attempted to share a file from the account. Investigators reviewed the file and confirmed it was a video depicting child sexual abuse material. Through the investigation, police identified the owner of the Dropbox account as Justin J. Zipperer of Manitowoc. Authorities determined the account contained numerous video files depicting child sexual abuse material. On Tuesday, officers executed search warrants at a residence in the 300 block of Riverview Drive and at a business in the City of Manitowoc where Zipperer was formerly employed. During the searches, officers seized numerous electronic devices. Zipperer was contacted and admitted to possessing and viewing the child sexual abuse material, according to police. He was taken into custody and booked into the Manitowoc County Jail on charges of possession of child pornography. Through the investigation, police learned that Zipperer worked as a school bus driver and had transported students in the Valders Area School District. Manitowoc man arrested May 14 faces 10 counts of possessing child pornography
MANITOWOC – A 27-year-old Manitowoc man was arrested May 14 on suspicion of uploading 137 files of child pornography to his Google account. According to the arrest record, the files uploaded triggered a CyberTip of suspected child pornography that was sent to a detective with the Manitowoc Police Department. The police connected the reported Google account to Zachariah R. Breihof. Read more: Manitowoc's top news in April included election results, a new superintendent & more During a search of Breihof's residence, police also found firearms and journal notebooks labeled "Zach B's Journal/Fantasy Log." Entries in the notebooks detail sexually explicit fantasies, along with a description of what triggered the fantasies and why they are inappropriate. Breihof was charged in Manitowoc County Circuit Court with 10 counts of possession of child pornography and one count of possession of a firearm while convicted of a felony. He is in custody at Manitowoc County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond and is expected to appear for an initial appearance May 19. No defense attorney is listed for Breihof. Manitowoc police seek surveillance camera footage after shot fired Sunday night
MANITOWOC – Emphasizing there is no threat to the community, police are seeking the public's help in an investigation after a gun was fired near 1600 Galax Drive Sunday night. According to a Manitowoc Police Department news release, officers and Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the area of 1600 Galax Drive at around 11:45 p.m. April 13 for the report of a woman giving a firearm to a neighbor and stating a man was trying to kill her. Police said initial investigation revealed one gunshot had been fired and a man could be seen on security footage having the gun pointed at him while he ran from the location. As of Monday morning, police said the man had not yet been located. Officers checked the area with use of K-9 Rolo and a drone from the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Office, but were unable to locate the man.
