Bubic pitches 5 scoreless innings, Perez homers to help the Royals beat the Marlins
Bubic (8-6) gave up three hits and a walk. Andrew Hoffmann came on in the ninth and gave up four runs — none earned — in two-thirds of an inning before Carlos Estévez got the final out for his 26th save.
Perez hit his 15th homer of the season in the eighth.
Kansas City took a 3-0 lead in the fourth, and made it 6-0 in the fifth.
In the fourth, Bobby Witt Jr. scored on Maikel Garcia's sacrifice fly, Perez hit a ground-rule double and Jac Caglianone followed with a two-run double off starter Janson Junk (4-2). In the fifth, Jonathan India had a two-run double and Vinnie Pasquantino added an RBI sacrifice fly.
Xavier Edwards and Agustín Ramírez each had two RBIs for Miami.
After India popped out to open the fourth, Witt hit his major league-leading 33 double of the season and moved to third on a single by Pasquantino to spark Kansas City's three-run fourth inning.

The Royals, who went into the game with the fourth-most doubles (172) in the major leagues behind the Boston Red Sox (202), Arizona Diamondbacks (178) and New York Yankees (175), had five doubles by five players.

He not only thinks Hill will be back with the Chiefs next season, but he also predicted Kelce returning for another run as well. However, he also hinted that Kelce and Hill would retire after one more year in Kansas City together. "I'm very excited for Hill wearing a Chiefs uniform in 2026," Wright said. In year one with the Dolphins, he caught 119 passes for 1,710 yards and seven touchdowns and backed that up with 119 receptions for 1,799 yards and 13 scores in his second year. Last season, he ended up with 81 receptions for 959 yards and six touchdowns. While this is just a prediction, it's one that could make sense. Hill could leave Miami and if he does, the Chiefs would likely have interest in a reunion. It may not have a chance of happening, but it's something to keep an eye on. Dolphins agree to terms with Mike Hilton
The Dolphins doubled up on experienced additions to their cornerback corps on Saturday. Agent Drew Rosenhaus said that his client Mike Hilton has agreed to terms with the team. That news came after the Dolphins confirmed that they have signed former Patriots and Raiders corner Jack Jones. Hilton spent the last four seasons with the Bengals and his first four seasons with the Steelers. He had 73 tackles and an interception last season and has 520 tackles, 13 interceptions, 11.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and six fumble recoveries for his career. The Dolphins came into camp with questions at corner after trading Jalen Ramsey. They lost Artie Burns to a torn ACL in their first training camp practice and Kader Kohou left Saturday's session after suffering an apparent leg injury, but they have not given any update on his condition.

Miami Dolphins sign former Las Vegas Raiders, New England Patriots cornerback Jack Jones to 1-year deal
The Miami Dolphins added needed help to their secondary on Saturday, signing cornerback Jack Jones to a one-year deal. Jones had 69 tackles, three interceptions— one returned for a touchdown — and 15 pass breakups in 16 starts for the Raiders last season. The Raiders released him earlier this year. A fourth-round draft pick by New England in 2022, Jones played two up-and-down seasons for the Patriots before being released and claimed off waivers by Las Vegas in 2023. Jones played in 24 games and started 19 for Las Vegas, intercepting five passes and returning three for touchdowns. He also found himself out of position several times and allowed opposing receivers to make big plays. His four defensive touchdowns are the second most in the NFL since he entered the league in 2022. The Raiders released him earlier this year. Miami was in the market for a starting-caliber cornerback after trading All-Pro Jalen Ramsey to the Pittsburgh Steelers last month. The Dolphins this offseason added several cornerbacks that are expected to compete for roster spots. One, veteran Artie Burns, went on injured reserve this week after suffering a torn ACL on the first day of training camp. Also Saturday, the Dolphins waived cornerback Ryan Cooper Jr.
