Liam Neeson On His Sex Scenes With Pamela Anderson In The Naked Gun

Buzz Feed6 days ago
Pamela Anderson and Liam Neeson may be looking loved-up on the red carpet today, but their chemistry goes right back to the set of their new movie, The Naked Gun.
The film is a reboot of the beloved 1980s and 1990s crime comedies, and Liam is starring as Detective Frank Drebin Jr., the son of Leslie Nielsen's character in the originals. Pamela, on the other hand, plays a woman named Beth Davenport, with whom Frank becomes involved.
The Naked Gun already being hailed as 'the funniest movie of the year' ahead of its release on Aug. 1. And if it wasn't already obvious, it sounds like Liam and Pamela had a whole lot of fun making the movie — so much so, in fact, it may have even led to an offscreen romance, but more on that later.
Appearing on The Late Show on Wednesday, Liam was asked by host Stephen Colbert about some of the movie's more intimate moments, including a scene where we see his bare ass — or what we're supposed to believe is his bare ass.
'I wish I could say it was mine. It's not. It's in the contract,' the 73-year-old joked, clarifying that a 'stunt' butt was used.
For context, The Naked Gun was Liam and Pamela's first time working together. And it also happened to be Liam's first time using an intimacy coordinator to oversee his and Pam's spicy sex scene: an 'unexpected' threesome.
'[It was] a little bit strange,' Liam said, describing his first ever experience with an intimacy coordinator. 'You know? Pamela and I knew [what to do].'
Hilariously, Stephen asked if Liam was as familiar with inviting a third into the bedroom, to which he responded: 'That was a first. That had to be specifically choreographed.'
If one thing's for sure, Pamela and Liam have serious chemistry, which has only fueled interest in reports that the co-stars are enjoying a 'budding romance in the early stages.' 'It's sincere, and it's clear they're smitten with each other,' an insider told People this week, adding that they're loving each other's company.
And, you know what, we're loving it, too. You can watch Liam's Late Show interview here, and you can watch The Naked Gun in theaters from Aug. 1.

Liam Neeson Makes Rare Comment About Late Wife Natasha Richardson

Liam Neeson Makes Rare Comment About Late Wife Natasha Richardson originally appeared on Parade. Amid his new romance with Pamela Anderson, Liam Neeson is looking back at his marriage to the late Natasha Richardson. Neeson — who stars alongside Anderson in The Naked Gun reboot that hits theaters Friday, August 1 — reminisced about his meet-cute with Richardson in a rare, personal reflection. Neeson and Richardson, who went on to marry and have two children before her death in 2009, first met while co-starring in the 1993 Broadway revival of the play Anna Christie. "It was great doing it every night with her and falling in love," the Taken star, 73, told The New York Timesabout his late wife in an interview published on Thursday, July 31. The actor, who tends to keep the details of his personal life as close to the vest as possible, reminisced about the beginning of his romance with Richardson in a tone that was nearly a whisper, the NYT noted. Neeson and Richardson, who went on to tie the knot in 2004, later welcomed sons Micheál and Daniel. Richardson was just 45 years old when she died in 2009 from a head injury in caused by a skiing accident. The Schindler's List actor notably brought Michael, now 30, and Daniel, now 28, as his dates to The Naked Gun premiere in New York City earlier this week. Anderson, for her part, brought her own two sons — Brandon, 28 and Dylan, 22 — whom she shares with ex-husband Tommy Lee. Andy Cohen, who had been close friends with Richardson, even shared his own comparison of Anderson and the Tony winning-actress to Neeson at the time. "Natasha was a dear friend of mine and I'm gonna tell you something," the Watch What Happens Live host shared on his SiriusXM show Andy Cohen Live. "As I was telling him at the premiere party, I go, 'Liam, she is an independent woman just like Tash was. She loves to cook. She has her own thing going on. She has two boys.'" While neither Neeson nor Anderson have officially confirmed their romance — artfully dodging the question presented to them on the Today show earlier this week — the duo can't stop gushing over each other (or being affectionate on the red carpet.) Even back in 2024, Neeson told People: "With Pamela, first off, I'm madly in love with her. She's just terrific to work with. I can't compliment her enough, I'll be honest with you," he gushed. "No huge ego. She just comes in to do the work. She's funny and so easy to work with. She's going to be terrific in the film." Stone plays the glamorous and self-involved Ginger McKenna in the film, directed by Martin Scorsese. The beautiful and mysterious woman catches the eye of DeNiro's Sam 'Ace' Rothstein. The role earned Stone a Best Actress Oscar nomination. "There's a scene in the movie where we're sitting across a table arguing, and he says to me, 'You're a good actress, you know that?' And I remember in that scene when he said it, how furious it made me because it was my dream to do it, and then he challenged me at the table." "I remember thinking, 'Oh, buddy. Not today, pal,' " she continued. "He knew every button to go for with me because he is the greatest observational actor. He can crawl under your skin and get in there." DeNiro and Scorsese looked back at the film on the occasion of its 30th anniversary in June at the Tribeca Film Festival. Of the film's take on a Las Vegas that's evolved so much in the decades since, Scorcese said, "Now you can take your family there and find yourself in the heart of capitalism — the kind that's replaced organized crime." "There used to be wiseguys in baggy suits. Now it's Ralph Lauren polos and corporate managers,' the famed director laughed. Read the original article on People
