Katy Perry nearly plunges headfirst into crowd in terrifying stage blunder
Things almost went very wrong for Katy Perry during the latest show of her Lifetimes World Tour.
The I Kissed A Girl hitmaker is currently travelling the globe, playing to thousands of fans with her most recent album.
It's safe to say the performances have caused quite a stir online, whether it be wardrobe malfunctions or the internet roasting her for 'cringey' dancing.
However, when Katy performed in Sydney, Australia, this week, she suffered a whole new level of mishap.
During the set, the 40-year-old US star wows the crowd with an aerial spectacle.
Allowing fans to get closer to her than ever before, she soars over the pit, suspended by a crane while singing.
Mid-song at Qudos Arena, though, it seems the crane tilted unexpectedly, leaving Katy upside down for a second.
At risk of plunging headfirst into the sea of people, she was heard exclaiming, 'Oh dear!' during the terrifying incident.
Ever the pro, Katy regained composure and soldiered on with the song.
She flashed a wave to the arena, reassuring everyone that no harm had been done.
But as Katy knows all too well, social media is a beast, meaning it didn't take long for footage to circulate.
Shared on TikTok, one clip captured the heart-stopping moment and can be heard gasping and laughing as the chaos unfolded.
'Oh my god!', @_lilymay1_ is heard saying in the video that has since gone viral.
In the comments, fans were in stitches over the carnage of Katy's recent shows, with @zakonite writing: 'this is the funniest tour in existence 😭😭'
'Don't worry everyone she's a professional astronaut. She planned this. It's fine', joked @tiffany_l3ann3, referring to Katy's recent historic trip to space.
'honestly i love that this tour is just her having a fun time', said @rhysey.piecey.
'This is way funnier than it should be', added @ngcook15.
Katy has made plenty of headlines throughout her tour already, one of the latest being when she singled out a man in the Las Vegas crowd.
While introducing the song I'm His, He's Mine, she called out the fan for sending messages to her partner, Orlando Bloom, 48, to whom she's been engaged since 2019 and shares daughter Daisy Dove, four, with.
'Cute grin. I know why you're here,' she began. 'Listen, if you keep DM'ing my man… Oh, Kyle? I know, I know. You've been doing it for months, ever since the [Play] residency.
'You didn't come to see me play.
'If you keep on DMing my man, I'm going to have you removed. Seriously, get your own life.'
Don't worry, it was all a joke, with the fan, Kyle, later revealing to Lad Bible that it was part of a segue for her next song.
'This all started because I asked Katy to sing my favourite deep cut and may have had to call in Orlando for some assistance,' he explained.

'I think that's false,' she then exclaimed as everyone cheered loudly in the sold-out venue, proving her popularity.
The Teenage Dream songstress is currently playing 15 shows Down Under in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. She originally had just one date booked for each city, but due to epic demand, she added extra shows.
Katy is set to bring her Lifetimes Tour to the UK later this year, playing concerts in Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, and London in October.

50p with unusual error making it worth 80 times its face value
An expert explained how to spot the specific error that makes it so valuable Brits have been told to look out for a 50p coin that could be worth more than 80 times its face value. This coin, from 2017, has sold in the past for as much as £40. But why is it so valuable? It's all to do with a specific error that could be hard to spot. In a video uploaded to social media platform TikTok, an expert called the Coin Collecting Wizard told his followers about the Benjamin Bunny 50 pence piece. The coin was part of a set of four released in 2017 to honour Beatrix Potter's legacy, which also includes Peter Rabbit, Tom Kitten, and Jeremy Fisher. But the Benjamin Bunny coin stands out due to a minting mishap. This error results in Queen Elizabeth II appearing to face the wrong direction. The coin expert said: "Did you know if your Benjamin Bunny 50p has a rotation error, then it's worth a lot more than 50 pence? "So you know what to look for, this 50p error coin is rare all because a part of the design is facing the wrong way." He explained: "The error that's left the Queen's head in a different direction, on the obverse, to the design of Benjamin Bunny on the reverse will have happened in the minting process. "When you flip it round, the Queen should be facing up the same way as Benjamin Bunny. If the Queen is facing any other way, then you have found a very rare rotation error worth money." This coin is still in circulation so it could be hiding in your change. "Error coins are still legal tender, so long as the original coin is still in circulation too," he continued. "That means you could easily come across one in your change. Oftentimes, error coins will sell for a lot more than their face value. "So this is definitely something you need to be looking for as it can be easily missed. So next time you come across the Benjamin Bunny 50p, flip that rabbit over and check the Queen. Good luck." Last year, The Sun highlighted a case where one of these coins fetched £40 - a whopping 80 times its face value of 50p. And in 2021, another coin from the same batch was reportedly snapped up for an eye-watering £255 on eBay. At the time of reporting, a graded edition of this coin was listed on eBay for £312.72.

British man orders pint in Benidorm but is totally floored by price
A British man recently visited Benidorm and ordered a pint at a well-known bar. The man, who appears to be no stranger to Spain, was taken aback when he was told how much a drink would set him back at the popular holiday hotspot. Known as the Benidorm Fanatic to his TikTok followers, he told people he headed to Uncle Ron's bar, which is said to be "famous" for its pints, notable for how cheap they're sold for. As he ventured to the venue, he was left astoudned at the price list, as he seriously got a lot for his money. In the clip, he said: "I tell you what, I believe it's actually a very, very nice pint as well, so it comes to the equivalent of about 84p in British money. Let's go and try it out, shall we? Let's give it a try." After he made his way to the bar, he added: "So there you go, I'll give you a euro, a €1 pint, and I'll take that. Let's try this €1 pint. Look at that - a nice, clean, cold pint. It's got a nice, good head on it - let's try it. "That is actually one of the best pints I've had in one of the popular bars. That is actually one of the best pints I've had in Benidorm to be honest with you. €1, I'll drink them all day." Since he shared the video, many people have viewed it, and they were quick to comment too. They shared their thoughts, and some posted their own Benidorm stories. One said: "Wow." Another shared: "I was there last week." A third replied: "Lovely pint. Had many." Meanwhile, a fourth also commented: "Bargain." If you've never heard of Uncle Ron's before, it's a popular spot for British tourists in Benidorm. As well as being known for its cheap drinks, it also serves food too. According to TripAdvisor, the venue serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, and also has 3.8/5 rating on average, according to the review platform. Many people say it's worth a visit if you're looking for a reasonable meal and a few drinks while on holiday. In the review section, one person wrote: "Had a fantastic breakfast at Ron's today. Lovely English produce. Great service. Brilliant staff. "A massive group came in, but they were serviced promptly. Don't know how they manage with so few staff." Another said: "Last day we visited for some lunch before heading to airport. Left full, which is always a good thing. In all my times of going here, never left unhappy at the service nor the food - always really good." A third replied: "We went many times during our two-week holiday. The staff are friendly and extremely hard working day and night. "Cheapest drinks you will find in town and food to suit everyone (daily deal only 6 euros). It's not a stylish 5* restaurant but then you wouldn't expect it. "For drinks just go to the bar like a normal bar. Always busy Sunday and Friday, so expect to book if you want a Sunday lunch. Would we go again? Certainly would!"
