Palestinian Olympic Committee says footballer, boxer killed by Israel

Saba Yemen6 hours ago
Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestinian Olympic Committee (POC) on Tuesday said a footballer and a boxer were killed in a massacre committed by Israeli airstrikes last night on a Gaza City beach.
In a statement, the Committee said that the Israeli massacre committed yesterday, Monday, following the bombing of a café on the Gaza beach, led to the martyrdom of soccer player Mustafa Abu Amireh and boxing champion Malak Musleh.
It explained that Abu Amireh played for the Al-Sadaka, Al-Shati, and Al-Zeitoun clubs, while Musleh, a rising boxing champion, aspired to raise the name of Palestine on the international stage.
POC added, "They were both martyred together in the massacre at Al-Baqa Cafe on the Gaza beach, when treacherous missiles surprised them, killing their dreams, sports, and joy in a single moment. They were there, searching for an outlet amidst a war that had left no outlet for young people. They died, along with dozens of civilians, in a scene that is difficult for the heart to bear."
The Committee added, "Mustafa, the player who roamed the stadiums of Gaza, was known for his high morals and fighting spirit on the field. He was a model for young people who were loyal to their homeland and club. As for Malak, she was a young dreamer, fighting skillfully in the ring, and carrying in her heart a dream of being the first to raise the Palestinian flag in international women's boxing championships."
The POC noted that with their passing, the list of martyrs of the sports, youth, and scouting movement since the start of the aggression on the Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, has risen to 617.

Zionist Forces raid villages in Nablus, settlers establish new outpost near Jericho

Occupied Quds – Saba: Zionist enemy forces raided several villages and towns in the Nablus governorate on Tuesday, while Zionist settlers established a new colonial outpost in Al-Ma'rajat area, northwest of the occupied Palestinian city of Jericho. According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), local sources reported that several Zionist military vehicles stormed the village of Qaryut, the town of Beita south of Nablus, and the town of Beit Furik to the east, firing sound grenades and tear gas, sparking clashes. In a separate development, Zionist settlers set up a new colonial outpost in the Al-Ma'rajat area, northwest of Jericho—the fifth of its kind along the Al-Ma'rajat road. Hassan Malihat, the general supervisor of "Al-Bidar" organization for the defense of Bedouin rights, confirmed on Tuesday that Zionist settlers had erected a tent, brought in water tanks and an electric generator days earlier, and began fencing the site in preparation for turning it into a settlement—a recurring scene across various parts of the West Bank. Eyewitnesses from the nearby Arab Al-Malihat community stated that the outpost was established under the protection of Zionist enemy soldiers, with excavation and leveling equipment installed as settlers began setting up iron fences. They added that the new outpost reflects a "comprehensive settlement scheme" aimed at controlling a vital corridor separating Jericho from the central West Bank, further restricting Palestinian movement between the northern and southern regions. Witnesses emphasized that what is happening is a "gradual Nakba" (catastrophe) carried out without bulldozers or direct displacement, yet it is no less dangerous than mass expulsion tactics. They warned that the settlement project seeks to dismantle Bedouin communities and force them into displacement. Whatsapp Telegram Email

Zionist Settlers Burn Hundreds of Trees South of Nablus

Nablus – SABA: A group of Zionist settlers set fire today, Tuesday, to hundreds of trees in the town of Duma, located south of Nablus in the northern occupied West Bank of Palestine. According to Sanad News Agency, citing local sources, settlers from the Yitzhar settlement ignited fires across dozens of dunums along the bypass road, leading to the burning of hundreds of olive trees. The sources added that residents, along with civil defense crews, rushed to extinguish the fire and contain the flames. However, the settlers and Israeli occupation forces deliberately obstructed the efforts, preventing fire trucks from accessing water from the village's nearby well near the Al-Murabba'a checkpoint. Gaza – Saba: Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Islamic Jihad movement in Palestine, announced on Tuesday that they, in coordination with Al-Qassam Brigades—the military wing of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas)—targeted a gathering of Zionist enemy soldiers and vehicles north of Khan Younis. In a brief statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (SABA), the group stated: "In cooperation with Al-Qassam Brigades, we shelled a gathering of Zionist enemy soldiers and vehicles east of Khuza'a, north of Khan Younis, with a number of mortar rounds."
