Punishment is coming for Chicago Sky star Angel Reese on Sunday evening.
Reese, 23, was named an All-Star for the second straight year. Reese, a first round pick out of LSU, is averaging 12 points and 12 rebounds per game. She is one of 12 reserves selected to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.

But a fine is probably coming.
Reese, who scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a 80-75 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, was not happy with the league's officiating. Reese took to social media to immediately blast the WNBA for their officiating crew. She's not happy.
Angel Reese speaks out.ESPN.
Reese, who starred collegiately at LSU and Maryland, blasted the WNBA for missing some calls in the Chicago Sky's loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
"diabolical," she wrote, sharing a photo of a missed foul call.
She added: "DO BETTER."
Reese knows that a fine is coming. Leagues don't take kindly to players or coaches openly criticizing the officiating.

But Reese appears to think that it's worth it.
The Chicago Sky star made it clear that she was going to call out the WNBA's officials until things get better.
Reese, though, is hardly the first notable WNBA figure to call out the league. Indiana Fever head coach Stephnaie White blasted the league's officials earlier this year.
White was bothered by how the officials handled a Fever vs. Sun game.
"When the officials don't get control of the ballgame, and they allow that stuff to happen ... this is what happens," White told the media.
"You've got competitive women, who are the best in the world at what they do, right? And when you allow them to play physical, and you allow these things to happen, they're going to compete. And they're going to have their teammates' backs. It's exactly what you'd expect ― right? ― out of fierce competition ... I started talking to the officials in the first quarter, and we knew this was gonna happen."

We'll have to wait and see what the league does in response to Reese's criticism. A fine is coming.

NHL Rumors: Bruins Targeted New Maple Leafs Forward

The Boston Bruins made several new additions to their roster so far this summer. While this is the case, they were also reportedly interested in a recently acquired Toronto Maple Leafs forward. According to Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman, the Bruins were one of the teams interested in Matias Maccelli before he was traded by the Utah Mammoth to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Advertisement "I heard there were three or four teams that were in on Maccelli," Friedman said. "I think Boston was one, and I think Edmonton was one." With Maccelli being a 24-year-old winger who has had past success in the NHL, it is not particularly surprising that the Bruins had him on their radar. It is no secret that their forward group needs more offense, and landing a winger like Maccelli could have helped things a bit on that front. While Maccelli posted just 18 points in 55 games last season with Utah, he is a prime bounce-back candidate heading into 2025-26 with the Maple Leafs. Just back in 2023-24 with the Arizona Coyotes, he recorded 17 goals and 57 points in 82 games. He also recorded 11 goals and 49 points in 64 contests with Arizona back in 2022-23, so there is no question that he can be an impactful forward when playing at his best. Nevertheless, Maccelli would have had the potential to be a strong addition to Boston's middle six. However, the Bruins will instead be facing him more often now that he has been traded to Toronto. Blue Jays could cut ties with 26-year-old slugger at trade deadline

The Toronto Blue Jays are looking to win their first American League East title since 2015, and as of right now, they sit at the top of the A.L. East standings with a record of 50-38. This past week, the Blue Jays swept the New York Yankees in four games, which got the fans and team believing they could be legitimate contenders this fall. Advertisement Toronto has several decisions to make during this year's trade deadline to compete for the World Series; they will need to make some roster upgrades. The Blue Jays have a handful of players that could be moved in deals, and Edward Eng from Fansided thinks the team could trade outfielder Joey Loperfido. "As one of the key return pieces in the Yusei Kikuchi trade from last season, Joey Loperfido found himself in almost an everyday role with the Blue Jays down the stretch in 2024. Loperfido did show flashes of his potential during that time, but was only able to hit .197 with a .579 OPS, 13 runs scored, eight doubles, three triples, two home runs and nine RBIs over 43 games of action," Eng wrote. "With the opportunity to challenge for a role with the Jays in 2025, Loperfido began the year with their Triple-A affiliate Buffalo Bisons and has stayed there ever since. He's hitting a solid .269 with a .756 OPS, 36 runs scored, 17 doubles, six home runs and 36 RBIs in 73 games with Buffalo. However, he has watched his teammates left and right get the call up to the big leagues, but still hasn't recieved the call for himself. What that means is with players such as Addison Barger, Alan Roden, Myles Straw, Davis Schneider, Jonatan Clase, Nathan Lukes and even Will Robertson ahead of him in the pecking order, Loperfido appears to have fallen out of favour. As a result, he could instead be used as a valuable trade chip come the deadline due to his attractive power potential, as he was the Houston Astros' No. 6 prospect last year for a reason." Follow The Sporting News On WhatsApp The 26-year-old slugger would be a nice second piece in a trade that brings back an All-Star player, but the Blue Jays will most likely have to part ways with one of their top prospects if they want to get back a great player in return. Why are the Boston Celtics interested in signing former Bucks guard Damian Lillard?

Why are the Boston Celtics interested in signing former Milwaukee Bucks floor general Damian Lillard? The Celtics are looking at a soft tank season while they wait for star forward Jayson Tatum to return to the court from an injured Achilles tendon, and will not likely be contending for titles by the end of the NBA's 2025-26 regular season. In fact, the Celtics are not even a lock to make the postseason as they scale back spending in light of Tatum's injury and the crushing weight of the second apron restrictions created by the collective bargaining agreement (CBA) to punish teams with expensive rosters. So why would Boston add ANOTHER player currently recovering from an Achilles tear who will be about 37 years old and an undersized guard with defensive weaknesses even before the injury? Advertisement The folks behind the "98.5 The Sports Hub" YouTube channel put together a clip from their "Felger and Mazz" show to talk it all over. Check it out below to hear their thoughts on the interest in Dame. This article originally appeared on Celtics Wire: Why are the Celtics interested in signing Damian Lillard?
