Punishment is coming for Chicago Sky star Angel Reese on Sunday evening.
Reese, 23, was named an All-Star for the second straight year. Reese, a first round pick out of LSU, is averaging 12 points and 12 rebounds per game. She is one of 12 reserves selected to the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game.

But a fine is probably coming.
Reese, who scored 16 points and grabbed 17 rebounds in a 80-75 loss to the Minnesota Lynx, was not happy with the league's officiating. Reese took to social media to immediately blast the WNBA for their officiating crew. She's not happy.

Reese, who starred collegiately at LSU and Maryland, blasted the WNBA for missing some calls in the Chicago Sky's loss to the Minnesota Lynx.
"diabolical," she wrote, sharing a photo of a missed foul call.
She added: "DO BETTER."
Reese knows that a fine is coming. Leagues don't take kindly to players or coaches openly criticizing the officiating.

But Reese appears to think that it's worth it.
The Chicago Sky star made it clear that she was going to call out the WNBA's officials until things get better.
Reese, though, is hardly the first notable WNBA figure to call out the league. Indiana Fever head coach Stephnaie White blasted the league's officials earlier this year.
White was bothered by how the officials handled a Fever vs. Sun game.
"When the officials don't get control of the ballgame, and they allow that stuff to happen ... this is what happens," White told the media.
"You've got competitive women, who are the best in the world at what they do, right? And when you allow them to play physical, and you allow these things to happen, they're going to compete. And they're going to have their teammates' backs. It's exactly what you'd expect ― right? ― out of fierce competition ... I started talking to the officials in the first quarter, and we knew this was gonna happen."

We'll have to wait and see what the league does in response to Reese's criticism. A fine is coming.

Dave Roberts defends Jacob Misiorowski's All-Star selection as an 'easy answer'
ATLANTA (AP) — National League All-Star manager Dave Roberts said including Milwaukee rookie right-hander Jacob Misiorowski on his team was 'an easy answer' despite complaints from some players over his inclusion after just five big league appearances. 'If it brings excitement, attention to our game, then I'm all about it,' Roberts said before Monday's Home Run Derby. 'I think for me, kind of my North Star is the All-Star Game should be the game's best players,' the Los Angeles Dodgers manager added before also addressing the other side of the argument by adding 'It's about the fans and what the fans want to see.' Misiorowski has pitched in only five games, a record low for an All-Star, creating a debate between those who say the game is for the most deserving players and those who say the game is for the fans. The 23-year-old created an instant stir when he threw a 100.5 mph fastball for his first pitch in the big leagues. Oh, and for good measure, he opened that debut on June 12 against St. Louis by throwing five no-hit innings before leaving with cramping in the Brewers' 6-0 win. The 6-foot-7 rookie is 4-1 with a 2.81 ERA and has 33 strikeouts with only 12 hits allowed in 25 2/3 innings. It's an impressive debut, but some players still believe the right-hander hasn't been in the game long enough to merit All-Star consideration over more established players. Philadelphia's Trea Turner was outspoken in his criticism of the decision to add Misiorowski to the team when Phillies' left-hander Cristopher Sánchez, who is 8-2 with a 2.50 ERA, didn't make the team. The Phillies also lobbied for left-hander Ranger Suárez (7-3, 1.94). 'What a joke,' Turner told reporters. Misiorowski said Monday he wasn't offended. 'They're not upset with me,' he said, adding he is as surprised as anyone to find himself in Atlanta for Tuesday night's game. 'The last five weeks have been insane,' Misiorowski said. 'I thought the All-Star break would be a chance to sit down and reflect. Now we're here.' Turner's teammate, All-Star Kyle Schwarber, said Monday the attempt by Phillies players to speak up for Sánchez and Suárez 'was not an attack at Misiorowski by any means. It's an honor for him that he's here and it should be an honor for him. It's not his fault that he's only pitched five games and he got named.' When asked about the conflicting opinions about Misiorowski, Kershaw said 'I don't think it's conflicting. I think everybody wants the best players here.' San Francisco right-hander Robbie Ray, 33, said Misiorowski has 'an electric arm. He's a special talent and I'm excited to watch him pitch.' "Little Bellas" mentoring young girls via mountain biking
Just off the trailhead of the largest mountain bike trail system located entirely in a major U.S. city — St. Paul's Battle Creek trails — a series of pre-ride safety checks are underway. But the riders about to mount up are all rookies. They're Little Bellas, part of a national nonprofit mountain bike program for girls ages 7 to 13. Martha Flynn started the first chapter in the Midwest in Woodbury in 2016. "The reason that Little Bellas is the most perfect thing for me and for the girls that participate is it's a safe space for them to try something new and challenge themselves," Flynn said. There are now six Little Bellas programs in the Twin Cities, with each offering financial assistance and gear to those in need. This week-long summer camp is free to girls through a partnership with the Sanneh Foundation. "It's kind of like a roller coaster," said a rider named June. "You're going up and down and up and down, except you get your exercise in, too." Mountain biking is the path to building confidence and having fun. "To have a peer, a 9-year-old helping a 9-year-old tell them like, 'I was scared, too, and then I went over this rock,' like that is just gold," Flynn said. Little Bellas ride and play games in a non-competitive atmosphere with strong female mentors like Carrie Seipp. "I hope you'll know that you're really strong," Seipp said. "You'll start to learn to do things that scare you and also help others do that." Important lessons that these girls will take with them beyond the ride.
