Its director, Mazli Hamdan said the medium of implementing the campaign is through the Jalinan Insan Wahana Aspirasi (JIWA) programme which was mobilised with 45 MADANI Communities nationwide.
'For now, a total of 50 activities have been implemented since the end of February through JIWA @ Komuniti MADANI which focuses on the approach of reaching out to the people and delivering information related to internet safety directly," he said when met by Bernama recently.

RM695,000 lost to online investment scam in Tangkak
TANGKAK: A 60-year-old woman lost RM695,375 after falling victim to an online investment scam that was impersonating a global investment management firm. Tangkak OCPD Supt Roslan Mohd Talib said the victim came across the offer on Facebook and contacted the suspect via WhatsApp. She was instructed to download an app via a link sent by the suspect. "Lured by promises of 100% returns, the victim made 16 transfers to four mule accounts between July 2 and Aug 13," he said in a statement on Thursday (Aug 14). Two Men Held Over Attempted And Lone Robberies In Melaka
MELAKA, Aug 14 (Bernama) -- Police have arrested two men over alleged attempted and solo robberies in two separate incidents in Melaka Tengah recently. Melaka Tengah district police chief ACP Christopher Patit said that in the first case, on Aug 2, police were alerted at around 11.15 pm to an attempted robbery using a long machete at a 24-hour mini market on Jalan Tun Sri Lanang. 'Acting on a tip-off, a team from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Melaka Tengah district police headquarters (IPD) arrested a 47-year-old man not far from the scene. 'Police also seized a long machete measuring about 59 centimetres, along with a motorcycle, a helmet and a crossbody bag,' he said at a press conference at the Melaka Tengah IPD today. Christopher said the suspect, who had been released from prison last February, admitted committing the act, claiming he had not eaten for two days. 'The suspect, who is also homeless, has seven previous records for various criminal and drug-related offences,' he said, adding that the case was being investigated under Section 393 of the Penal Code. In the second case, Christopher said a 20-year-old man has been detained to assist in the investigation of a roadside robbery in Pantai Puteri, Tanjung Kling, on July 29. He said police were alerted around 3.50 am to a robbery involving a man and his girlfriend. Acting on intelligence, Christopher added that police arrested the suspect on Aug 5 at about 12.30am and seized a motorcycle with a fake registration number, along with a helmet and a mobile phone.

Businessman remanded in RM3.8m Negeri Sembilan land fraud case
SEREMBAN: A businessman has been remanded for seven days in connection with a suspected fraudulent land sale worth RM3.8 million in Mukim Lenggeng. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission secured the remand order from Magistrate Saiful Sayoti, effective until August 20. The suspect, in his 40s, was arrested late last night after arriving to give a statement at the Negeri Sembilan MACC office. Investigators believe he conspired with another suspect to use falsified documents for financial gain from the September 2022 transaction. This follows an earlier three-day remand extension for the primary suspect, a land broker also in his 40s. Negeri Sembilan MACC director Awgkok Ahmad Taufik Putra Awg Ismail confirmed the arrest under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009. - Bernama
