Deebo Samuel's tenure with the 49ers has come to a bittersweet ending after San Francisco agreed to trade him to the Washington Commanders on Saturday.
And it didn't take long for the star wide receiver to take to his Instagram to share a heartwarming post to San Francisco and The Faithful.
'Appreciate y'all for everything,' Samuel wrote with a compilation video of some of his greatest moments in Red and Gold over the tune of DJ Khaled's 'God Did.'

San Francisco agreed to trade Samuel to Washington for a fifth-round draft pick, a source confirmed to NBC Sports Bay Area's Matt Maiocco after ESPN's Adam Schefter first reported the news Saturday.
Samuel requested a trade during his exit interview shortly after the 49ers' underwhelming 2024 season ended. San Francisco then gave Samuel and his agent, Tory Dandy, permission to seek a trade on Feb. 9, and multiple teams reportedly showed interest in the All-Pro receiver.
The beginning of Samuel's farewell tribute video contains audio from a phone conversation between 49ers general manager John Lynch and Samuel on draft day in 2019.
'You ready to be a Niner?' Lynch asks Samuel.
'Yes, sir,' Samuel replied.
'Yeah, we're fired up,' Lynch said. 'We're really excited.'
Samuel consistently brought excitement to the 49ers for six seasons, helping them reach the NFC Championship Game four times and Super Bowl twice. His epic boombox walkouts with All-Pro tackle and close teammate Trent Williams set the tone for the squad and bring a newfound energy into the building.
While Samuel and the 49ers didn't win a championship together, the memories — especially during that 2021 run — will live on forever.

Craig Kimbrel is returning to the Atlanta Braves bullpen. The Braves are calling up their former All-Star closer from Triple-A Gwinnett, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported on Thursday. Atlanta officially announced the move on Friday, adding that reliever Daysbel Hernández (2.22 ERA in 25 appearances) has been placed on the 15-day injured list with right forearm inflammation. Advertisement The decision was likely prompted by the Braves blowing a six-run lead in the ninth inning Thursday versus the Arizona Diamondbacks, leading to an 11-10 loss. Atlanta took a 10-5 lead into the ninth. Three of Arizona's first four batters reached base against Scott Blewett, including home runs by Lourdes Gurriel Jr. and Alek Thomas. Raisel Iglesias relieved Blewett and didn't fare better, allowing five of the next six batters on base with RBI hits by Ketel Marte, Ildemaro Vargas and Eugenio Suárez resulting in four runs and an Arizona lead. Ultimately, five runs were charged to Blewett and Iglesias gave up the lead with the three he allowed. "We're not a bad team. We're a good team that's playing bad," Braves manager Brian Snitker said after the game. "We're all going to be miserable, and we should. We didn't execute and put the game away, and we've got to do that." With the loss, Atlanta dropped to 27-34, placing them fourth in the National League West and 11 games behind the first-place New York Mets. The Braves are also seven games out of the NL's third wild-card playoff berth. Kimbrel, 37, pitched the first five seasons of his career with the Braves, collecting a 1.43 ERA and 186 saves in 294 appearances. He won the 2011 National League Rookie of the Year award and made four All-Star teams during his stint with Atlanta. The right-hander was traded to the San Diego Padres before the 2015 season and he's played for six other teams since then. Last season, he had a 5.33 ERA for the Orioles in 57 appearances despite a strikeout rate of 12.6 per nine innings and was released in late September. Advertisement However, Kimbrel had a 2.80 ERA, 53 strikeouts in 35 1/3 innings and 23 saves before the All-Star break. 'Hopefully, he can replicate what he did the first half of last year,' Snitker said when Atlanta signed Kimbrel in the spring. 'It would be awesome if he could come in and do that." During his 15 MLB seasons, Kimbrel has compiled a 2.59 ERA and 440 saves with a strikeout rate of 14.1 per 9 innings. Blewett's outing was his last for the Braves. The team announced that he was traded to the Baltimore Orioles on Friday for cash considerations. Atlanta was planning to DFA Blewett (5.51 ERA in 11 games) after Thursday's game, but worked out a deal with Baltimore. It's a return to Baltimore for the right-hander, who appeared in two games for the Orioles before being designated for assignment and traded to Atlanta. Blewett began the season with the Minnesota Twins, but received a DFA and was picked up by the Orioles.

Duke agrees to home-and-home with HBCU power
NORFOLK, Va. - Norfolk State Director of Athletics Dr. Melody Webb and head women's basketball coach Jermaine Woods have reached an agreement for a home-and-home series with nationally ranked Duke, bringing a major HBCU matchup to life over the next two seasons. The Spartans will travel to Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium on Nov. 12, 2025. The following season, the Blue Devils will make their first-ever visit to Echols Hall. Tipoff times for both games will be announced later. 'This is a landmark moment for our women's basketball program and our university,' Webb said. 'Hosting a nationally ranked team like Duke highlights our commitment to raising the profile of Norfolk State Athletics. It also provides our student-athletes and fans with a chance to experience top-tier competition on our campus.' The two programs have met only once before. In 2002, Duke defeated Norfolk State 95-48 in the NCAA Tournament's first round, shortly after NSU won its first MEAC Tournament Championship. The 2026 visit by Duke will be the first time an Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) opponent plays at Norfolk State, marking a historic milestone for the HBCU. Lisa Leslie Sees Herself in This Current WNBA Star
Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson has quickly become one of the WNBA's top performers. In her first seven seasons in the league, she won the league MVP three times and was named to six All-Star teams. Last season, she averaged 26.5 points and 13.0 rebounds per game.
