Two arrested on drug-related charges after meth seized from Caldwell County home: Sheriff
CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Two people are facing drug-related charges after deputies searched a home in Caldwell County.
Sheriffs executed the search warrant on a home in the 2900 block of Pioneer Trial in Hudson on Mar. 14. Deputies say the home was used for selling methamphetamine.
Detectives took 58-year-old Billy Ray Potter and 30-year-old Kenzie Lynn Caldwell into custody as they searched the home.
Agents seized approximately 22 grams of methamphetamine and $600 US dollars. The street value of the narcotics is $3,300.

Following the search, Potter was charged with one count of PWISD methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. Potter is currently under indictment for prior narcotic trafficking charges, officials say. He was placed in the Caldwell County Detention Center under no bond.
Caldwell, who is currently on probation for narcotic charges, was charged with maintaining a dwelling for controlled substances. She was placed in the detention center under a $25,000 secured bond.

NEW JERSEY (PIX11) — A man has been found guilty of strangling his pregnant wife in front of her daughter in Newark, N.J., the prosecutor's office of Essex County announced Friday. Milton Chogllo, a 31-year-old from Newark, was found guilty by a jury of second- and third-degree aggravated assault, according to court documents. More Local News According to an investigation on March 5, 2023, Chogllo strangled and beat his 32-year-old wife outside their home on Bergen Street. At the time of the assault, the victim was six months pregnant, authorities said. The woman's 14-year-old daughter witnessed the assault, police said. The NC Department of Transportation released a graphic detailing all the problems with the scam message. This DMV scam is the latest form of smishing that attempts to obtain revealing or sensitive information from individuals. It provides a fake link to pay the fines, creates a sense of urgency, and asks the recipient to reply 'Y' to the message, copy links into a browser, or confirm personal information. If you receive a text message from the DMV or any other state agency that demands money, the Federal Trade Commission recommends the following: Do not respond to the text or click any links. The DMV would not ask for your information or money by text. Report the text to the Federal Trade Commission at and/or file a complaint with the FBI's Internet Crime Complaint Center at Forward the message to 7726 (SPAM) to help your provider identify and block similar messages.
