Britain's Got Talent's most viewed audition that led to over 1bn streams of song
Britain's Got Talent has seen plenty of acts rise to stardom since the ITV talent show first hit our screens back in 2007.
From dancing dogs to magicians, dance groups and singers – there's rarely been a dull moment.
Many of the acts from the show have gone on to become household names, including the likes of series one winner opera singer Paul Potts and Scottish songstress Susan Boyle – who caused a media frenzy when her first audition aired back in 2009.
Susan was pipped to the post as winner of the show that year by street dance troupe Diversity.
However, there's one act who has gone on to have an impact around the world since his first audition.
Ten years ago in 2015, singer Calum Scott had one of the most iconic moments in the show with his song choice.
His haunting rendition of 'Dancing on My Own', originally released in 2010 by Swedish pop star Robyn, saw Simon press his golden buzzer, winning him a place in the live semi-final and eventually, the final.
Calum, from Hull, has gone on to have huge success as an artist, performing with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Leona Lewis and Take That.
His recorded version of his audition track now totals more than 1bn streams on Spotify alone.
Dancing on My Own reached number two in the UK charts upon its release in 2016 and was Britain's best-selling single that summer.
Calum's first Britain's Got Talent audition has now had a staggering 399m views on the official BGT account on YouTube.
It's the most watched from the talent show, followed by Susan Boyle with 263 million views.

The 2025 series is the show's 18th and it comes to an end this weekend.
Britain's Got Talent's live final airs on Saturday, May 31 at 7pm on ITV1 and ITVX.

Border Officials Told Not to Attend Events Tied to Diversity in Law Enforcement
The Trump administration this year ordered federal border agents and customs officers not to attend events hosted by organizations that support women or minority groups in law enforcement, according to a senior border official. Customs and Border Protection, the largest law enforcement agency in the federal government, issued a little-noticed internal memo in late March telling its officials not to attend events or conferences hosted by organizations like Women in Federal Law Enforcement and the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives, or NOBLE, said the senior official, Timothy Quinn. Mr. Quinn worked at the agency for nearly 12 years until he retired on Friday as a result of the policy. In an interview on Monday, Mr. Quinn said the directive was included in a broader travel advisory issued on March 28 to senior officials at the agency, who were then expected to pass along the instruction to the rank and file. The memo, which invoked President Trump's executive order banning diversity practices across the federal government, barred attendance at events or conferences 'that have a gender basis, race basis or a culture basis,' Mr. Quinn said. 'I think that's discrimination,' said Mr. Quinn, the former head of Customs and Border Protection's Office of Intergovernmental Public Liaison. 'I don't understand why we wouldn't engage with these organizations to share this kind of information.' In a statement, Tricia McLaughlin, a spokeswoman for the Department of Homeland Security, which oversees Customs and Border Protection, said the agency's 'personnel are free to participate in outside groups on their own time.' 'However, C.B.P. will not use taxpayer dollars and official duty hours to fund identity-based events or programs,' Ms. McLaughlin said. 'As a federal law enforcement agency, our focus is on the mission.' Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

James Cameron Confirms His Next Movie Will Be a Fantasy Epic THE DEVILS — GeekTyrant
James Cameron has been burined deep in the world of Pandora for years, but he's announced what his next film project will be. The filmmaker behind Aliens , Titanic , and Avatar announced on Facebook that his next movie after Avatar: Fire and Ash will be an adaptation of The Devils . The Devil's is a brand-new fantasy novel by British author Joe Abercrombie, and Cameron is producing and co-writing the script with Abercrombie himself. The director said: 'I've loved Joe's writing for years, cherishing each new read, throughout the epic cycle of the First Law books, especially Best Served Cold (LOVE IT!), and the Age of Madness trilogy. 'But the freshness of the world and the characters in The Devils finally got me off my butt to buy one of his books and partner with him to bring it to the screen. 'I can't wait to dig into this as I wind down on Avatar: Fire and Ash. It will be a joyful new challenge for me to bring these indelible characters to life.' Abercrombie has built a loyal following in the grimdark fantasy space. His First Law series redefined the genre with its morally compromised antiheroes and sharp, self-aware writing. But, The Devils , which just hit shelves last month via Tor, kicks off a new trilogy, one with a very different premise. Set in a warped version of our own world, The Devils imagines a Europe crawling with unspeakable monsters and under siege by flesh-eating elves. The story centers on Brother Diaz, a weary soldier-priest tasked with assembling a team of both men and monsters to fight back the rising tide of horror. Abercrombie seems just as excited about the team-up, saying: 'I can't think of anyone better to bring this weird and wonderful monster of a book to the screen,' he said in a statement. This isn't the only Abercrombie film adaptation in the works. Best Served Cold , one of his most beloved standalone novels, is currently being developed as a feature film with Rebecca Ferguson set to play the deadly Monza Murcatto. That project is being directed by Deadpool's Tim Miller and is currently in pre-production. Cameron, meanwhile, still has a few stops left on the Avatar train. Fire and Ash , the third installment in his sprawling sci-fi epic, is scheduled to open on December 19th. Two more sequels are planned after that, with tentative release dates in 2029 and 2031. But clearly, the filmmaker is already mapping out his next creative obsession. If The Devils lands with the scope and visual intensity we associate with Cameron, and given the source material, this could be a great new chapter for both the director and modern fantasy cinema. The Devils is available now in print, ebook, and audiobook formats.
