Sara Ali Khan On Showers, Self-Care And Singing in the Bath: 'It's My Daily Reset Button'
Sara Ali Khan calls her daily shower a "mini retreat" that resets her mind, mood, and skin.
Between packed film schedules, red carpets, and cross-continental shoots, Sara Ali Khan finds her moments of calm in the most unexpected place – her shower. For the Fiama brand ambassador, a 10-minute escape under warm water is more than a daily ritual. 'It's like a mini retreat," she says with her signature candour. 'I lather up with Fiama Moisturizing Bars with Japanese Hokkaido Milk, and within minutes, I feel recharged skin nourished, mood uplifted, ready to take on the day."
'My Shower is My Creative Bubble"
Unlike some who use showers to plan the day ahead, Sara lets her mind wander. 'I'm 100% a free-flow mind wanderer," she laughs. 'My thoughts range from 'What's for breakfast?' to imagining the next movie scene." It's also where some of her quirkiest habits emerge like belting out Lag Jaa Gale or dancing to Kala Chashma. 'It's fun and totally my guilty-pleasure playlist. If someone overhears me, I just say it's rehearsal with better acoustics."
A Fragrant Escape from Chaos
For Sara, fragrance plays a huge role in this daily reset. 'A beautiful scent can instantly calm or energize me," she says, adding that she gravitates toward creamy, comforting notes like milk and berries. 'They create a sensorial cocoon that signals it's time to focus on myself."
Self-Care That Grounds and Balances
With the demands of shoots and travel, Sara sees her bathing ritual as a non-negotiable. 'It's my anchor amidst chaos. That moment under warm water helps me destress, reset emotionally, and feel grounded." Her go-to? Moisturizing Bars with Japanese Hokkaido Milk, enriched with Vitamin F and skin-loving berries like Acai, Blueberry, and Goji. 'It feels like breakfast for my skin indulgent yet essential."
Sara credits this ritual for boosting her on-screen presence too. 'When my skin feels nourished and healthy, I carry myself with more ease. Confidence isn't just about makeup or lighting — it starts from feeling good in your skin."
Over the years, her relationship with her body has evolved into one rooted in mindfulness. 'Self-care used to feel like a luxury. Now it's a necessity. These small acts movement, good food, a soothing bath keep me connected and balanced."
And if there's one indulgence she never skips, it's a good bath. 'Even on the busiest days, I make time for it. That few minutes of calm with the creamy lather and berry fragrance turns everything around."

Banana leaves, lotus blooms and palms found it a place in applique work on lehengas, sarees, and sherwanis. Actor Sara Ali Khan graced the ramp for Aisha Rao. Her silhouettes were sharp yet soft. She used glass beads, sequins and appliques as embellishments, with the multi-colour beads rendering a psychedelic effect. The colour palette ranged from brushed rose gold, lush berry tone and antique glints of champagne. Lastly, the designer deserves praise for presenting an inclusive show where models of different body types, ages, and ethnicities walked the ramp.
