Ipswich Town reject Nottingham Forest bid for Omari Hutchinson
The proposal was worth £35million and if a sale was to occur, Ipswich would demand a higher price for the former England youth international.
Brentford also remain interested in the midfielder following an earlier approach in the window.
Hutchinson came through Arsenal's youth academy before joining Chelsea in the summer of 2022.
He made just two first-team appearances for Chelsea before joining Ipswich initially on loan in the summer of 2023, before the move was made permanent in the summer of 2024 in a deal worth up to £22.5million ($30.2m).

Hutchinson has scored 14 goals and provided eight assists in 82 games for Ipswich, scoring three times in the Premier League last season.
Despite having previously made two appearances for Jamaica, he has made several appearances for England's national youth sides, playing in all six of the under-21's European Championship games in June.
Hutchinson, being deployed on the left wing throughout the tournament, scored in the final as England beat Germany 3-2 after extra time.

Iran Star Hailed For ‘Professionalism' In Accepting Inter Milan Departure This Summer
Striker Mehdi Taremi has won praise for his 'professionalism' in accepting a move away from Inter Milan this summer. Today's print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews, note that the Iranian international isn't putting up a fight as he heads for the exit door. There is no doubt about it. Inter Milan are planning to sell Mehdi Taremi this summer. There has been a fair bit of interest in the former Porto striker. Right now, the Premier League looks to be the most likely destination, with Leeds United and Fulham keen. Mehdi Taremi Praised For 'Professionalism' Accepting Inter Milan Exit MILAN, ITALY – FEBRUARY 22: Mehdi Taremi of FC Internazionale reacts during during the Serie A match between FC Internazionale and Genoa CFC at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on February 22, 2025 in Milan, Italy. (Photo by) Notably, Taremi himself seems to be happy to go along with this exit plan. Clearly, the 33-year-old will be as disappointed as anyone with how last season went for him. Inter signed Taremi with big expectations. He had been prolific throughout his time in the Portuguese league. However, the Iranian scored a paltry three goals last campaign. Therefore, it is not exactly difficult to see why Inter are ready to offload Taremi after just one season. And for his part, Taremi understands this as well as anyone. The 33-year-old striker is ready to say goodbye to his teammates. He will not dig in his heels and insist on seeing out his contract at a club where he is not part of the plans. Tuttosport comment Taremi for the 'professionalism' he's shown to accept that it's time for him to try his luck elsewhere.

Manchester United have signed Slovenia striker Benjamin Sesko from Germany's RB Leipzig on a contract until 2030, the Premier League club said on Saturday. The transfer fee is 76.5 million euros ($89 million) with 8.5 million in bonuses. The 22-year-old Sesko, who joined Leipzig from Austrian club RB Salzburg in 2023, scored 39 goals in 87 appearances across all competitions for the German side. "The history of Manchester United is obviously very special but what really excites me is the future," Sesko said in a statement. "When we discussed the project, it was clear that everything is in place for this team to continue to grow and compete for the biggest trophies again soon … It is clearly the perfect place to reach my maximum level and fulfil all of my ambitions. "I cannot wait to start learning from (manager) Ruben (Amorim) and connecting with my team-mates to achieve the success that we all know we are capable of together." Manchester United have also signed forwards Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo as well as left back Diego Leon for the new campaign which starts at home to Arsenal on August 17. United have spent around 200 million pounds following their 15th-place finish in the Premier League last season, their lowest position in the top flight for 51 years.

Altercation between player and fan mars return of Tom Brady's Birmingham City to English soccer's second tier
Soccer Tom Brady People in sportsFacebookTweetLink Follow Birmingham City Football Club drew its first game in its return to the EFL Championship, English soccer's second tier, but the opening game festivities turned sour following an altercation between a fan and a player late on. The moment was captured on the TV broadcast which showed a fan appearing to make contact with Ipswich Town's Jack Taylor after the away side equalized in added time during the 1-1 draw. Newly promoted Birmingham City – the soccer club where legendary quarterback Tom Brady is a minority owner – had taken the lead against Ipswich Town when star striker Jay Stansfield fired into an open net in the 55th minute. But with time running out, Ipswich Town's George Hirst calmly equalized from the penalty spot to give the visiting side a share of the points at St. Andrew's @ Knighthead Park, Birmingham. The decision to award the late penalty kick was a contentious one and tensions boiled over during Ipswich Town's celebrations. Players from both teams pushed and grabbed hold of each other as the incident moved past the goal and toward the section of fans behind it. Footage then shows a fan jumping over the barriers toward the players where he appeared to make contact with Ipswich Town's Taylor. This fan was then pulled away from the crowd of players by stadium security. 'I think there might have been an incident with the crowd and one of the players, to be honest, that maybe wasn't ideal,' Ipswich Town head coach Kieran McKenna told the Sky Sports broadcast after the game. 'It'll be seen or it'll be reported and let's see,' McKenna added. The English Football Association (FA) told CNN on Saturday they were aware of the incident and will be investigating further. The West Midlands Police told CNN they are working with Birmingham City Football Club and are reviewing CCTV footage to establish the full circumstances. CNN has reached out to Birmingham City and Ipswich Town for comment.
