KUWAIT CITY, Aug 16: Kazma and Burgan handball teams have launched their overseas training camps in preparation for the new season. Kazma will compete in the Arab Club Championship, hosted by Kuwait Club from September 12–22 alongside Al-Sulaibikhat, while Burgan is set to participate in the Asian Club Championship, with dates to be announced, in addition to domestic competitions.
Kazma's camp in Izmit, Turkey, runs until August 28. The delegation is led by team director Salem Abdul Salam and includes Serbian coach Bozo, technical analyst Waleed Al-Anzi, fitness coach Abdullah Maseer, goalkeeper coach Omar Al-Malih, physiotherapist Nader Qasim, and a full squad of 19 players. Burgan's camp is taking place in Bosnia until August 26. Both teams are focusing on physical conditioning, tactical drills, and friendly matches.
Meanwhile, Kuwait's junior handball team finished 26th at the 11th Junior World Championship in Cairo. In its final match, the 'Blue' lost 26–29 to South Korea in the 25th–26th place playoff. A total of 32 national teams participated in the tournament.

Meanwhile, Qadsia continues its search for a new foreign striker to replace Moroccan Ismail Khafi, who mutually terminated his contract last week. Al-Arabi will conclude training today before departing for Dubai to continue its pre-season preparations, which include two friendlies, ahead of returning in early September

CAIRO, Aug 14: Kuwait's U-19 recorded its second win in the 'President's Cup' With a 35-25 victory over Uruguay at the 11th IHF Men's Youth World Championship in Cairo. Earlier, Kuwait competed in the preliminary round in Group A, losing all matches against Sweden, Austria, and Portugal, which placed them into the consolation rounds. In the President's Cup, the team initially lost to Kosovo but then secured victories over Morocco and Uruguay. The President's Cup features 15 teams that did not advance to the second round of the championship, divided into four groups, competing for positions 16 to 32. On the club front, Burgan has acquired national team player Hussein Al-Mutawa on a one-season loan to strengthen its first-handball team. Burgan also renewed the contract of local coach Hussein Habib and signed Serbian professional Jovica Nikolic, who joins Japanese player Kosuke Yasuhira and Croatian Stipe Mandalinic as the club's foreign players. The squad includes local talents Abdulaziz Al-Dosari, Nasser Al-Faraj, Mubarak Al-Randi, Hamad Al-Saqr, and Ahmed Al-Kallaf. Last season, Burgan finished as runner-up in the Kuwaiti Premier Handball League for the first time in club history.
