Grammy-nominated Artist Cancels Tour After Clear Warning

Grammy-nominated singer JP Saxe warned fans that his tour was at risk of being canceled, but now he has confirmed that reality. On July 28, the singer, who became known for his hit song 'If the World Was Ending,' warned his fans that if he did not sell thousands more tickets to his tour in the next 48 hours, he was going to be forced to cancel the entire tour. "I'm extremely embarrassed to tell you this, but I'm going to tell you anyway," JP Saxe said in a video posted on Instagram on July 28. "If I don't sell 20-or-so thousand tickets to my tour in the next 48 hours, it's going to be canceled." The artist warned fans that if they were waiting until the last minute to buy tickets to his show, that strategy was not going to work because then there "wouldn't be a show to buy tickets to." "I hold on to a sliver of hope that I will see you in the Fall," he said in the video. Unfortunately for JP Saxe, he did not see the surge in ticket purchases he was hoping for. A few days after posting his initial video, JP Saxe took to social media once again to thank everyone who bought tickets to the tour, but he also shared the unfortunate news that it still was not enough to save the tour. 'Over the last few days, we sold a few thousand extra tickets and I am beyond grateful to every one of you who bought one,' Saxe said in the video. "Those few thousand tickets are a reminder that being transparent in failure sometimes can be more powerful than the facade of success," he continued. "They were a reminder of how wonderful it can be to ask for help and watch a community come together, and this really was the nicest the Internet has ever been to me. 'But what those tickets are not is enough to save this tour,' he said candidly. "I'm really sorry. I'm so sorry." The good news is that everyone who bought a ticket will get their money back. "Every ticket purchased will be fully refunded with a side of immense gratitude from a dorky ginger Canadian," he said. JP Saxe then vowed to make sure this doesn't happen again. "I'm still a little embarrassed. I'm also feeling a lot of ambition to make sure this never happens again, and just to make the most honest music I possibly can and the squad can grow and we can have these full rooms," he said. "Until then, I love you. And I'm grateful to each one of you who bought a ticket. "And I'm really sorry." Alice Cooper wants to voice a character on The Simpsons

Alice Cooper wants to be on The Simpsons. The 77-year-old shock rock legend's music has appeared in Matt Groening's iconic animated sitcom - and rival show Family Guy - but he's yet to voice a character. He told when asked if he'd like to appear on the long-running programme: "Oh yeah, absolutely. When The Simpsons came out, they were totally unique. It was really, really funny. I really admired what they were doing. I showed up on Family Guy" They used my music a lot. Groening and those guys did an Alice character, and so did Family Guy. I thought Family Guy was probably more pointed, but I couldn't say [it was] more clever. They were both really very clever." In 1978, Alice made his legendary apperance on The Muppet Show, which he won't forget anytime soon. He recalled: "My favourite thing in the world was being on The Muppet Show. When they called me to be on The Muppets, I went, Oh man, I spent all this time making Alice Cooper the new monster. This is just going to water it down. I loved the show — it was a very funny show, very clever. I asked them, 'Who's done the show recently?' They said, Christopher Lee and Vincent Price, and I went, 'I'm in!' If those guys can do The Muppets ... I haven't earned the pedigree that those guys have, so I will definitely do it. That ended up being the reference point to an entire generation, me doing The Muppet Show. It's amazing, to this day people go, 'I discovered you on The Muppet Show, and after that I went and got all your albums.'" As well as musical performances of School's Out, You and Me, and Welcome to my Nightmare on the Halloween special, Alice portrayed an agent of the Devil, offering the Muppets fame and fortune in exchange for their souls. Gonzo swiftly wanted in, only to discover he had 'other plans' for his soul.

Missing Oklahoma 2-year-old sold to meth dealer by mom, who had abused her with paddle and BB gun: report

A 2-year-old missing Oklahoma girl allegedly suffered a nightmare of abuse at the hands of her parents, who shot her with a BB gun, beat her with a paddle that had 'The Last Resort' written on it and finally sold her to a meth dealer, according to local reports. Ashley Ceejay Rowland, 39, and her boyfriend Joshua Denton, 40, were arrested on Aug. 5 in connection to the abuse against their poor tot London Kerr, who was last seen in the arms of the mother's methamphetamine dealer in 2022, according to The Oklahoman. Rowland confessed to police that she gave the poor child to a man identified as 'Carlos' in exchange for drugs, the report stated. That man claimed that he was going to travel to Mexico with the child. Before abandoning London, Rowland and Denton exacted cruel and vicious physical punishment on the toddler. 4 London Kerr was last seen in the arms of the mother's methamphetamine dealer in 2022. KFOR Teenage children of Rowland said she and her boyfriend would shoot the baby with BB guns, strike her with a wooden paddle, and lock her in a closet, the report stated, citing a criminal affidavit. While searching the couple's house, police discovered a wooden paddle with the phrase 'The Last Resort' written on it, the report stated. Denton's two teenage daughters said their dad force fed London a hot pepper and poured hot sauce in the child's eyes on more than one occasion, according to that affidavit. One of the sick-o's two teenage girls told investigators that Denton had previously sexually abused her, according to the report. Authorities are renewing their search for London and hoping to find the child, who would be turning 6-years-old in September. 4 Ashley Ceejay Rowland, 39, was arrested in connection to the abuse against London Kerr. KFOR 'Time is of the essence, still hoping for a positive turnout in this case, and we don't have a lot to go off of right now, which makes it extremely difficult,' Oklahoma City police Sgt. Dillon Quirk told local KOCO-TV. Rowland told cops that when she handed London to the meth dealer, the child had no sort of identifying paperwork, the report stated.. Officials first realized the child was missing during a failed Department of Human Services pickup order in April 2023, The Oklahoman reported. 4 Rowland's boyfriend Joshua Denton was also arrested. KFOR 4 Officials first realized the child was missing in 2023. The Oklahoman Denton faces nine felony charges including six felony counts of child abuse, one count of forcible sodomy, and one count of lewd or indecent acts to a child. Rowland has been charged with one count of enabling child abuse and faces previous charges of abandonment of child which were filed in Oklahoma County District Court last year.
