Actress and writer Lena Dunham is making the talk show and podcast rounds to promote her new Netflix series Too Much, loosely based on her own life with husbandLuis Felber. It marks Dunham's first major television project since Girls. The outspoken 39-year-old also gave fans insight into all things Girls—including the possibility of a revival and where she thinks the girls (and the guys) might be today. It's a hilarious take and a delightful glimpse into Dunham's wildly creative brain. In an interview with Variety, Dunham dished on where she believes the Girls characters would have landed in life. Of her own character, Hannah Horvath, she said, 'She teaches at Bard and loves raising her son. She probably has a girlfriend who's, like, a chef. And she's less obsessed with being famous. That's where I feel she would land.'
Of Marnie Michaels, the character played by Get Out actress Allison Williams, Dunham offered, 'Marnie—third marriage.' She continued, referencing Jemima Kirke's character, 'Jessa is unvaccinated and lives on a boat in Croatia.'
'Shoshanna was married to, then divorced from, the mayor of New York City, and she runs an athleisure startup that's zero-waste,' Dunham quipped referencing Zosia Mamet's character Shosh. As for Hannah's ex-boyfriend Adam—expertly portrayed by Adam Driver—Dunham said, 'He's a cult theatre actor; and he's probably living in Berlin.'For Ray Ploshansky, played by Alex Karpovsky, Dunham guessed the coffee shop owner 'is still on city council and running his coffee shop—and doing better than anyone.'
And it wouldn't be a Girls character roundup without Hannah's delightful buddy Elijah, played to perfection by Andrew Rannells. 'Elijah,' Dunham imagined, 'is the fourth lead on a sitcom, making a good amount of money and still looking for love in all the wrong places.'
All this Girls talk has fans hoping for a reunion. Until then, Too Much—which stars Hacks funny lady Meg Stalter and The White Lotus breakout Will Sharpe—looks like the next best thing.

Bing Crosby Stakes Sings At Del Mar On July 26

A talented nine horse field will race to reach the finish line first in the grade 1 Bing Crosby ... More Stakes at Del Mar Back in 1937, Bing Crosby opened a piece of heaven on earth down at old Del Mar. No one is quite sure if this crooning superstar realized he was creating a haven for the sport of Thoroughbred racing, but he likely had a pretty good idea this seaside oval would flourish. In fitting fashion, one of the top races of the summer meet is named in his honor. Garnering grade 1 status and offering a Breeders' Cup Sprint berth to the winner, this six-furlong dash over the Del Mar dirt has long provided season highlights and this year's edition looks to be more of the same. The 2025 Bing Crosby offers up a talented nine horse field that will have somebody singing at the end. Let's take a look at the entrants and provide a thought on each. Runners are listed by post position with trainer, jockey, and morning line. 1 Crazy Mason (Greg Sacco, Christopher Elliot 6-1 ) -Shipping from the East Coast, this son of Coal Front has won three of four starts this year. Two starts back he won the Carter Stakes at Aqueduct. Would it be Crazy to think he could ship and win??? His closing style could have him there at the end considering the front-end speed in the race. 2 Dr. Venkman (Mark Glatt, Antonio Fresu 4-1 )-This son of Ghostzapper has three wins and four seconds in eight lifetime starts. He has been the bridesmaid in both stats this year, but we think he is the one here. A stalking trip might just provide that trip to the circle. 3 Hejazi (Bob Baffert, Juan Hernandez 7-2 )- Nobody has won more Stakes races at Del Mar than Bob Baffert. He is not likely to add to that total here, but this New York-bred son of Bernardini can impact the race by contesting the early pace. Hejazi has two career wins, but has been in the money in eight of ten lifetime starts. 4 Smooth Crusein (Karen Headley, Kyle Frey 20-1 )- This three-year-old Florida-bred will be stepping up in class here. He ran against older horses in his last start and finished third in a four horse field at Santa Anita. This is a big ask for this son of Girvin and he can only hope for a Smooth trip. 5 World Record (Rodolphe Brisset, Flavien Prat 3-1 )- The speed of the speed in this one. Insanely fast early, his last two wins saw him on the lead with opening quarter miles that were 21 and change. If they leave this son of Gun Runner alone on the lead it will be over early. The home stretch at Del Mar will see plenty of excitement in the Bing Crosby Stakes on July 26 6 Roll on Big Joe (Robert Hess, Julien Leparoux 6-1 )- Grandson of Victory Gallop has four wins in five starts this year and was quite impressive in winning the grade 3 Kelly's Landing at Churchill Downs in his last start. In the money in fourteen of eighteen lifetime starts but has only managed one second in three starts at Del Mar. 7 Mbagnick (John Sadler, Armando Ayuso 5-1 )- After we figure out how to say this Chilean-bred's name we will decide if he has a real shot. John Sadler has saddled many winners at Del Mar, and this son of Practical Joke took'em gate to wire in winning his last start at this same distance on June 13. 8 Spirit of Makena (George Papapodromo, Abel Cedillo 20-1 )-This son of Ghostzapper won four of his first five career starts including two stakes victories. Injury sidelined him all of 2024 and he has a third-place finish in two starts this year but is winless since May of 2023. Coming back off such a layoff takes a lot of Spirit. The Bing and this field is a big asking. 9 Lovesick Blues (Librado Baracio, Geovani Franco 20-1 )-This California-bred is the veteran of the group with forty lifetime starts. Always a hard-knocker, this son of Grazen has been in the top three twenty-six times with eight wins. Although not likely to win, he is a horse that can be there at the end and pump up the exotic payouts.

N.B. ‘felt like home' for co-star of horror series

One of the stars of a TV thriller filmed in southwest New Brunswick said she's happy she can share the show with her family. She's also happy she can share pictures from set. 'My camera roll is stacked with photos,' she told Brunswick News on July 8. Romy Weltman plays Martha 'Em' Cypress on Revival, a horror TV series airing now on the CTV Sci-Fi Channel in Canada and SyFy in the United States. Filming on the show took place in southwest New Brunswick from September to December last year, according to executive producer Greg Hemmings. 'I loved New Brunswick, I want to go back,' she said. 'It felt like home, it was so beautiful and nice, and the people were so kind. I know everyone says that about Canadians, but I have to say, the East Coast is something special.' The Ontario-New Brunswick co-production, set in 2008 Wausau, Wisconsin, is based on an Image Comics series by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton and is about the emergence of a small group of humans known as Revivers who died and came back to life. The showrunners are Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce, with Hemmings and Stephen Foster of Saint John-based Hemmings Films among the show's executive producers. Hemmings told Brunswick News on July 11 work on the show has been ongoing for a year and a half, with post production still underway at that the time of the show. Foster said filming included 45 locations from Sussex to Fundy Cove to Welsford. The show has 'something for everyone,' Weltman said, adding when she watches with her family who aren't usually drawn to horror but enjoys the comedy, action, and 'bigger conversations' in the show. 'It makes you think and have real conversations about ... treating people the way you want to be treated, and acknowledging that othering people is never helpful,' she said. Weltman, 25, from Toronto, began acting at the age of 12 when her parents enrolled her in community theatre to encourage her to get outside of her comfort zone. Her most prominent role before Revival would have been Family Channel teen drama Backstage from 2016 to 2017, but she said some of her earliest work included supernatural and horror elements. 'It kind of feels like for whatever reason, my life just brought me back to horror,' Weltman said. 'I kind of got to go from a full glam and wearing crop-tops and colours to going dark in Revival, but I always find that fun.' Weltman's character is a part of what the producers described as 'a murder mystery where the victim gets to help to discover,' Weltman said. 'I think that's so unique as well, and a very cool concept.' She said the shoot gave her experience with doing more stunt work, and that she also did research on her character's backstory, including Osteogenesis imperfecta, known as brittle bone disease, as well as substance abuse issues. '(I) made sure I had good knowledge of what I was portraying and presenting on screen,' Weltman said. Weltman said her friends and family who have seen the show pick up on 'Romy facial expressions' Em makes, saying she puts herself into her performances but also enjoys when she can disappear into a role. 'My big sister told me that she doesn't see her little sister on screen, just a really cool girl that she wants to be friends with,' Weltman said. 'I was like, this is the most heartwarming compliment you could ever give me.' She said coming to the province was an opportunity to 'experience something new,' she she said was 'something I really really value about our job.' While in New Brunswick, Weltman said she tried to shop local, saying it's 'special to buy something unique.' She gave a list of her favourite haunts, including Catapult coffee roasters, Pomodori Pizza, Royal King Indian restaurant and Cask and Kettle, as well shopping at Exit 98 and In Pursuit. She said she also got to visit Saint Andrews to go whale watching, which she called 'the cutest town I've ever been in.' The show had 'the most amazing' cast, Weltman said, including Melanie Scrofano, who plays Em's sister on the show and 'is just like another big sister in real life to me now.' She said Andy McQueen became her first friend on the set. 'I really made family members through this, not just friends,' she said. Since the episodes have started coming out, she said she's 'been feeling really good about it, I think people are reacting very well.' 'I think that we're just getting started, and I think that the more the story goes, the more people will be able to fall in love with (the) characters,' she said. Episodes of Revival air on Thursdays at 11 AT on the CTV Sci-Fi Channel and are available on Crave. Error! Sorry, there was an error processing your request. There was a problem with the recaptcha. Woman seen in Coldplay kiss cam video resigns from Astronomer

The woman seen in the now-viral video of a couple attempting to hide after being featured on a giant "kiss cam" screen at a Coldplay concert last week has resigned from her position at Astronomer. Kristin Cabot resigned from the data company, it said in a statement Thursday. The company confirmed Cabot was the woman seen in teh Cabot did not respond to a request for comment. It was not clear what position she held at the company, but an archived version of Astronomer's website lists her as its chief people officer. Cabot was identified by online users as the woman in the viral video. Online users identified both her and Astronomer CEO Andy Byron as being in the video. The company on Saturday said Byron had resigned. Cabot and Byron catapulted to international fame last week after Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, called them out for hiding their faces once they were caught on a kiss camera during a show in Massachusetts, hypothesizing that they were either shy or might have been having an affair. A video of the moment made rounds online and went viral on social media platforms X and TikTok. Internet sleuths almost immediatelyidentified the man and woman in the clip. On Friday, Astronomer, a New York-based data company, said its CEO had been placed on leave and that it was investigating the viral moment. Byron's resignation followed
