Why Kylie and Kendall Jenner snubbed half-brother Brody's wedding to Tia Blanco despite being on guest list

Daily Mail15-07-2025
Kylie Jenner and sister Kendall reportedly turned down their invitations to attend half-brother Brody's wedding to Tia Blanco over the weekend.
The lipkit mogul, 27, and the supermodel, 29, were noticeably absent when Brody, 41 — with whom they share the same father, Caitlyn Jenner, 75 — exchanged wows with the surfer, 28, during an intimate ceremony in Malibu on Saturday.
And now the reason for why the duo declined their invitations has been revealed.
There's no estrangement between the sisters and Brody, a source assured TMZ on Monday, before suggesting they might have skipped the event to 'keep the spotlight on the bride and groom.'
This isn't the first time the famous duo has skipped out on Brody's big moments.
He previously shared that Kylie and Kendall didn't even RSVP to his commitment ceremony in Bali with then-girlfriend Kaitlynn Carter in 2018.
DailyMail.com has reached out to Kylie and Kendall's representative for comment.
Though his half-siblings were not present, Brody had the support of brothers Brandon and Burt Jenner. Their father, Caitlyn, who transitioned from Bruce in April 2015, also attended but committed a major fashion faux pas.
Meanwhile Kendall and Kylie have been enjoying a girls' trip to Europe, with Kylie recently sharing snaps of them frolicking around Saint-Tropez and Tuscany.
The sisters did make time to attend Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez's lavish Venice nuptials last month.
Brody's mom, Linda Thompson, announced the happy news of his marriage to her social media followers, sharing footage of the loved-up couple entering their reception to Natasha Bedingfield's hit single Unwritten. Linda captioned her post on Instagram: 'Mr. and Mrs. Jenner.'
The newlyweds exchanged vows in the back yard of Linda's sprawling house.
And Brody also shared plenty of videos and photos from the celebration to his Insta Stories.
Tia wore an off-the-shoulder lace gown and white veil for the wedding ceremony, while Brody donned a traditional black suit and tie for the special occasion.
'Best night marrying my best friend,' wrote Tia on Instagram.
Brody's brother Brandon performed on guitar when the pair walked down the aisle.
Though his half-siblings were not present, Brody had the support of Linda, dad Caitlyn Jenner — who transitioned from Bruce in April 2015 — and brothers Brandon and Burt Jenner; (L-R) Brandon, Caitlyn, Brody and Linda pictured in an Instagram snap

The athlete added, 'My dream backyard wedding came true last night. At home where honey was born. Reliving it over and over! So many thank yous to be said. Can't wait to share all the photos & videos soon.'
Images shared to social media show Brody kissing his beautiful bride after saying I do in front of an officiant.
Meanwhile Brody's dad Caitlyn committed a classic wedding faux pas and was spotted wearing an all-white gown to the ceremony in a video shared to social media.
The color white is traditionally only reserved for the bride or at times the entire bridal party if it's a white-themed affair.
Brody's father was married to Thompson from 1981 to 1986. Caitlyn and Thompson also share son Brandon, 44.
The former Olympian shares Burt, 46, and Cassandra Marino, 45, with first ex-wife, Chrystie Scott.
Caitlyn welcomed Kendall and Kylie with third ex-wife, Kris Jenner, 69.
Caitlyn has had a strained relationship with the boys over the years.
Earlier this year Brody shared that he got a 'real, sincere apology' from Caitlyn after he expressed feeling neglected during the Olympian's rise to fame with the Kardashians.
'It was the first time in my life that I've ever gotten an apology,' Brody shared on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test.
'You know, "I'm sorry for not being there."'
Caitlyn was married to Kris for 23 years, from 1991 to 2015, and was a step-parent to Kris's four children from her previous marriage: Khloe, Kourtney, Kim, and Rob Kardashian.
Brody has long had a rocky relationship with the Kardashians despite appearing on some episodes of their reality show.
Brody and Kim had a massive falling out when he was told he could not bring his then-new girlfriend Kaitlynn to Kim's wedding to Kanye West.
In return, the Kardashian brood weren't invited to his commitment ceremony in Bali that took place in 2018.
Brody's younger half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner were invited, but according to the star, didn't even RSVP.
'My two little sisters, we never even heard from them. They never even RSVP'd I don't think … We sent them an invite but we never heard back. I would have loved to have had them there,' he told People at the time.
Brody's relatipnship with the Kardashian family has had it's ups and downs. April 2016 saw Brody completely isolate himself from his step siblings, when he was heard saying: 'They're not my f**king family,' after someone congratulated him on his family's (meaning the Kardashian-Jenner's) success.

Inside the charmed life of Kurt Cobain's daughter Frances Bean and Tony Hawk's son Riley as they enjoy romance

Riley Hawk and Frances Bean Cobain have been enjoying a 'quiet' life since they welcomed their first child together last year. On Wednesday, Riley, the son of Tony Hawk and a professional skateboarder himself, opened up about their first year of parenthood and their family life together with their famous in-laws. Riley, 32, and Frances — the daughter of Courtney Love and the late Kurt Cobain — got married in October 2023 and welcomed their first child together, son Ronin, in September 2024. 'We just do our own thing,' Riley, a first-time dad, told People about the legacy each of their family carries. This comes after Tony Hawk left fans in tears with an emotional reflection about the late Nirvana frontman never meeting their shared grandson. 'We don't really think too much about it, honestly, other than the fact that we do stuff like this with a video game, or whatever it may be, or something regarding her side of the family,' he continued as he mentioned his appearance in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 + 4. He added: 'But other than that, we're just a very quiet stay-at-home family. We just hang out.' Riley also noted that their son is 'learning every day' as they enjoy 'growing as a family.' Riley also said that his father helps out a lot and is enjoying being a first-time grandpa. 'My dad helps a lot and it's really cool that we get to all hang out together,' he said. 'It's just a cool thing for him to get to hang out with his grandson a lot. That's kind of where we're at, just taking it day by day.' He also said that being a first-time father himself is 'really cool' and has brought him and his own dad even closer. 'I'm just super grateful that my ad gave me the freedom to do certain things that I wanted to, like skateboarding or whatever it may be,' he continued. 'And that's all I can hope to do for my son, is just give him the opportunity if something interests them or they fall in love with a certain sport or hobby,' he said. 'I feel like, as a parent, [that's] all you can hope to do.' Riley also said that his father helps out a lot and is enjoying being a first-time grandpa. Last September saw the iconic skateboarder, 56, become a first-time grandpa after his son Riley and his wife Frances welcomed their baby boy Ronin into the world. At the time, Kurt's daughter — whom the Nirvana frontman shared with Courtney Love before his death in 1994 — dropped the surprise update via Instagram and wrote: '9.17.2024 Ronin Walker Cobain Hawk. Welcome to the world most beautiful son. We love you more than anything.' Months later, Tony took time to share his grief over the loss of family moments they would never get to share. Taking to his Instagram story, he posted a picture of a ticket stub from a Nirvana concert he attended back in October 1991, in Houston, Texas. Reflecting on the night, he wrote: 'Went straight from a S.U.A.S. event at Houston Skatepark to this concert in 1991. 'It was as transformative as live music can possibly be; we all experienced something rare and powerful that night. The world would never be the same.' He then noted how much it hurt to no longer have Kurt in the world as he continued: 'I wish Kurt were here so he could see the incredible woman his daughter has become, meet her devoted, caring husband, and hold our wondrous grandchild.'

Jessica Alba and new love Danny Ramirez take hot romance 'to the next level' as they are seen kissing

Jessica Alba could not keep her lips and hands off her new boyfriend when out in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The Honest Company founder was seen getting close with Top Gun: Maverick star Danny Ramirez outside the Beverly Glen Deli in Beverly Hills. The 44-year-old actress and the 32-year-old Chicago native were matching in their attire as they both had on dark blue tops with pale blue denim jeans and Dodger caps. Alba was beaming as she smiled from ear-to-ear while putting her arm around the dashing actor who has also been in The Last Of Us. Meanwhile, Daily Mail has learned that Alba is ready to take a serious step forward with Ramirez: the siren wants to introduced the actor to his three children she has with ex Cash Warren. The kids are daughters Honor, 17, and Haven, 13, and son Hayes, seven. The Honest Company founder was seen getting close with Top Gun: Maverick star Danny Ramirez outside the Beverly Glen Deli in Beverly Hills 'Things have really progressed between Danny and Jessica, she's smitten,' a source told Daily Mail. 'She even wants him to meet her children. She was hesitant at first as being single is new territory for after being married to Cash for so many years, but this just feels right,' it was added. 'Initially she thought she might wait a bit for an introduction but things have moved quite fast. 'Danny is making her really happy and giving her a lot of joy - so why wouldn't she want to share that with her kids. She isn't getting too wrapped up in what Cash thinks about it all. 'This isn't a revenge romance for Jessica, it's about her having fun. Jessica can't imagine Cash begrudging her finding happiness, she hopes he can find it too.' News of this budding romance first broke two weeks ago when the two were seen in Mexico on a romantic vacation. Alba and Ramirez were spotted getting cozy over a romantic Italian dinner a week ago, further fueling buzz around their budding relationship. They were matching in their attire as they both had on dark blue tops with pale blue denim jeans and Dodger caps Alba was beaming as she smiled from ear-to-ear while putting her arm around the dashing actor who has also been in The Last Of Us What began as a low-key relationship is now showing signs of evolving into something deeper, despite Alba's initial hesitation. A source told last week, 'Jessica's romance with Danny has taken a surprising turn. What started out as a summer fling feels like it's getting more serious, although she still wants to take things slow. 'But at the end of the day Jessica has never been one to play the field. She's excited to see where this romance is headed.' Jessica officially confirmed her split from husband Warren, 46, in January, after weeks of mounting speculation. The former couple—who met on the set of Fantastic Four in 2004 and tied the knot in 2008—filed for divorce in February, though the proceedings remain ongoing. They share three children: daughters Honor, 17, and Haven, 13, and son Hayes, 7. Alba's rumored romance with Ramirez, 11 years her junior, first made waves when the two jetted off to Cancun earlier this month. Their tropical getaway came just two months after Jessica was seen 'kissing' a mystery man in London— though it's still unclear whether that man was Danny. How the two met remains a mystery, but an insider previously told that while Danny has been 'enamored' with the actress, she's been hesitant to commit. 'Danny is cool, a nice guy and he is enamored with her, but it is not exclusive,' the source said earlier this month. 'She's not in that frame of mind. He has a chance to make something out of their connection, but she is taking it all in stride. Right now, she's looking to just have fun.' Ramirez, originally from Chicago, is best known for playing Joaquin Torres—aka the new Falcon—in Marvel's The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and the upcoming Captain America: Brave New World. He is currently filming Avengers: Doomsday, slated for release on December 18, 2026.
