
Saudi Arabia Declares Success of Hajj 2025, Receives Praise from Gulf Leaders
The Deputy Governor of the Makkah Region and Vice Chairman of the Permanent Hajj and Umrah Committee, Prince Saud bin Mishaal, on Sunday announced the successful conclusion of this year's Hajj in terms of security, health and services.
Speaking from the governorate's headquarters in Mina, Prince Saud congratulated the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and the Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on this remarkable achievement.
He also praised the excellent execution of the operational plans, which enabled pilgrims to perform Hajj with ease, safety and tranquility.
Furthermore, Prince Saud thanked the members of the security, health and services sectors, as well as the volunteers, who spared no effort to serve pilgrims and commit to the directives of the Kingdom's leadership.
Moreover, he commended pilgrims' compliance with regulations and instructions, which contributed to the success of the Hajj season. Prince Saud also emphasized that the preparations for the upcoming Hajj season would begin immediately.
On this occasion, the leaders of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries have extended their congratulations to the leadership of Saudi Arabia for the successful management and organization of the Hajj season.
This included congratulatory messages from the UAE President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan; Bahrain's King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa; Oman's Sultan Haitham bin Tariq; Qatar's Emir Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani; and Kuwait's Emir Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, in addition to the Secretary-Generals of the GCC and the Muslim World League.

Participants will engage in workshops, knowledge-sharing sessions, and dialogues with prominent figures from the local art scenes, fostering meaningful exchange and strengthening professional expertise. Thematic focuses for the 2025–2026 programs include: Japan—Art and the Environment: Exploring how artists and art practitioners respond to natural, urban, and traditional surroundings through material, scale, and site; Republic of Korea—Identity through Art and Community: Examining grassroots cultural movements, artist-led spaces, and collaborative platforms; Spain—Heritage and Collectivism: Highlighting how collective practice, heritage, and social purpose converge in both contemporary and historic cultural spaces. Applicants must be over 21 years of age, possess a minimum of five years of professional experience in their field, and present a strong portfolio demonstrating their contributions to the cultural sector. Proficiency in English and full commitment to the program schedule are mandatory. The full criteria are detailed in the application form. ‘Al-Baha Summer' extended for 2 more weeks
RIYADH: Prince Dr. Hussam bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, governor of Al-Baha region, has directed the extension of 'Al-Baha Summer' activities and programs under the slogan 'Al-Baha ... Heritage and Tourism' for an additional two weeks. This is in response to the strong turnout from residents and visitors, and out of keenness to provide visitors with the opportunity to enjoy the tourism and entertainment activities that the region abounds with during the season, SPA reported. It comes within the framework of the governor's support to enhance Al-Baha's position as a prominent tourist destination at the national level, due to its natural resources and diverse activities that combine tourism, heritage, culture and arts, in addition to programs targeting families and children. Dr. Ali bin Mohammed Al-Swat, mayor of Al-Baha region and chairman of the executive committee of 'Al-Baha Summer,' said that the extension included all activities held in parks, heritage markets and tourist sites.
