Lia Block Is Racing Nigel Mansell's Title-Winning F1 Car Up the Goodwood Hillclimb

Lia Block will get a chance to experience a machine like no other later this summer. The Formula 1 Academy star is set to pilot Nigel Mansell's Williams FW14B at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed, which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of F1. Specifically, she will be driving the same car that the famous Brit won the F1 championship with in 1992.
Block, the daughter of late racing driver and YouTube legend Ken Block, posted several photos of the FW14B's seat fitting process to her Instagram account Wednesday evening.
'I think I was [in] shock while doing this. My first seat fit in the FW14B, Nigel Mansell's championship-winning car. I'm so honored to be driving this car at @fosgoodwood 2025,' read the caption.
Despite being just 18 years old, Block has had the opportunity to race (and recreationally drive) lots of rarefied cars, including the famous 1,400H-horsepower Mustang 'Hoonicorn,' and several rally cars where, just like her dad, she sharpened her car control skills. In 2023, she competed in the now-defunct Extreme E off-road championship, and a year later, she tested Keke Rosberg's Williams FW08 F1 car. Since then, Block has been racing in the F1 Academy series as a Williams Racing Academy driver.

That said, the FW14B will prove to be a completely different animal, given its wicked power-to-weight ratio and, of course, aero. Even with a previous brief taste of the FW08, she will surely find it a handful. And while the Duke of Richmond's driveway isn't exactly the ideal (or most exciting) place to drive a vintage F1 car, this will certainly be a special experience for Block and everyone watching.
'I started going to Goodwood when I was really young with my dad who used to do the hillclimb a lot,' said Block in a press release. 'Last year was a very big moment for me being able to drive an F1 car up the hill. It was a dream come true, and Goodwood is so special to me because so many people from different areas of motorsport come together to celebrate the sport. This year is going to be an iconic experience for me in an iconic car—I can't wait!'
The second-generation racer will share driving duties with team boss James Vowles and fellow racing star Jamie Chadwick.

Toyota 4Runner contest winner turns dream into outdoor retreat

For most people, a sleepless night might be something they'd just as soon forget. But for Lauren Paulet-Miller, a sleepless night, or at least what she did when confronted with one, turned into what is likely to be a life-changing event. Paulet-Miller, 26, was named the winner on July 30 of a unique contest from Toyota Motor North America. She scored a new 2025 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and enough money — $95,000 — to buy a piece of land, so she can combine a love of the outdoors with her desire to connect people to nature. 'My intention is to make it a little bit of a retreat space where I can introduce people to camping and get them feeling more comfortable with the outdoors,' said Paulet-Miller, who grew up in Miami and sees an opportunity in the area she now calls home, near Hagerstown, Maryland, which she noted has a growing Latino population that may lack access to nature. 'There's a lot of barriers that keep people from my community from having those meaningful outdoor experiences so I'm hoping I can use the space to educate people of all races and backgrounds on the outdoors and how to experience the outdoors safely.' Paulet-Miller, who works as a sustainability outreach coordinator for the city of Frederick, Maryland, happened to stumble on the Toyota 4Runner Landia contest on Instagram one sleepless night earlier this year. Rather than simply passing by the ad for the contest as she might normally be inclined to do, she fired off an essay and entered the contest, which, according to Toyota, drew more than 25,000 entries in April and May. Top stolen vehicles: Some states saw vehicle thefts drop last year. These models were among the most stolen. Her essay topic? 'I wrote 250 words about wild and wonderful West Virginia.' Spots in West Virginia figured prominently in the outdoors excursions Paulet-Miller recounted during a recent conversation with the Detroit Free Press, part of the USA TODAY Network, including for a lengthy backpacking trip with Remy, her 11-pound Yorkie poo, and the Mountain State is likely to be where she picks for her land prize. Delia Lopez, a spokesperson for Conill, Toyota's partner for the campaign, said that in narrowing down the top entries for the contest, 'we looked for stories that captured the 4Runner's spirit in a grounded way. We leaned towards submissions that embraced the full vision of the prize — those that saw the land as more than a backdrop, and the 4Runner as the key to making their dream come true. The most compelling entries picture a life of exploration, awe in nature and belonging.' Paulet-Miller was awaiting delivery of her new vehicle, which she chose in Mudbath (a special color for 2025 that Toyota's Cynthia Barreras compared to hot chocolate), but she's already making plans for it, such as adding a rooftop camper. She's been off-roading before, in Utah, and even rented a camper van to explore parts of New Zealand last year as part of her honeymoon. But Paulet-Miller hopes the new 4Runner will take her adventuring to a new level. With a sticker price of $68,400, it will also be a change from her current vehicles, a Subaru Forester and another Toyota, a 2002 Corolla with more than 200,000 miles. For Paulet-Miller, that sleepless night is still having an effect. 'I feel like I'm in a dream, and I haven't woken up from it,' she said. Contact Eric D. Lawrence: elawrence@ Become a subscriber. The brunette has reportedly raked in more than $23 million in gross earnings this year alone. The vacancy prompted the other Bop House members — Aishah Sofey, 22, Alina Rose, 24, Ava Reyes, 19, Camilla Araújo, 22, Julia Filippo, 22, Summer Iris, 19, and Joy Mei, 19 — to advertise for a new roommate. OKTAGON star Losene Keita lands Patricio Freire fight in Paris after signing with UFC

Losene Keita asked, received, and now he has a big test in front of him. The OKTAGON standout told MMA Junkie in July he thought it was time to join the UFC, and the promotion agrees. Keita (16-1 MMA, 0-0 UFC) will battle Bellator legend Patricio Freire (37-8 MMA, 1-1 UFC) in a three-round featherweight bout Sept. 6 at UFC Fight Night 258. The event takes place at Accor Arena. A person with knowledge of the situation confirmed the booking to MMA Junkie following a report from Maitres Fumieres on Instagram. Keita, 27, held both the OKTAGON featherweight and lightweight titles during his 11-fight tenure with the promotion. He has 10 knockouts in 16 professional wins, and his lone loss was due to injury. "It's time," Keita said. "Let's make featherweight great again. I can do both weights actually. I even fought in welterweight before. I fought in lightweight, featherweight. Let's just make fun. Let me knock out people on the biggest platform." Freire, 38, picked up his first UFC win in July when he defeated Dan Ige by unanimous decision. The win came after an unsuccessful promotional debut vs. Yair Rodriguez. The victory was a long-time coming for the 45-fight pro, who spent the majority of his career fighting under the Bellator banner, rewriting the promotion's history book. With the addition, the UFC Fight Night 258 lineup includes:
