Road closures in Watford and Kings Langley are among the latest public notices for our area.
The Public Notice Portal is used to access upcoming and recent information about various restrictions and applications.
All temporary road closure orders and other restrictions are valid for up to 18 months from the date they come into force, but restrictions will only apply at times shown on signs at or near the relevant locations.
Here are four notices we have compiled which could affect residents in the Watford area.
Benskin Road, Watford - temporary closure
Hertfordshire County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using the road from a point 17m south west of its junction with Harwoods Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 17m.
An alternative route will be via Benskin Road, A4145 (Hagden Lane/ Vicarage Road) and Harwoods Road.
The existing one-way traffic system on Benskin Road, Watford, from a point 17m south west of its junction with Harwood Road north eastwards for a distance of approximately 265m will be temporarily suspended to enable all vehicles to travel in both directions within this length of road, whilst works are in progress.
If made, the order will come into force on August 11.
B642 Aldenham Road, Bushey - temporary closure
The county council has also made an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Aldenham Road from its junction with the Bushey Hall Road roundabout south westwards for a distance of approximately 80m.
An alternative route will be via B462 (Aldenham Road/Hartspring Lane), A41 North Western Avenue, A4008 Stephenson Way and A411 (Waterfields Way/Lower High Street/ Chalk Hill) or via B462 Aldenham Road, A4008 (Aldenham Road/Pinner Road), A411 (Lower High Street/Dalton Way/ Waterfields Way), A4008 Stephenson Way, A41 Otterspool Way and B462 (Hartspring Lane/Aldenham Road).
The order came into force on July 28 and is for gas mains to be replaced.Toms Lane, Kings Langley - temporary closure
The county council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Toms Lane from its its junction with Primrose Hill north eastwards for a distance of approximately 210m.
An alternative route will be via Primrose Hill, Station Road, Gallows Hill, Hamilton Road, Hunton Bridge Hill, South Way, Langley Lane, Tibbs Hill Road, Bedmond Road, High Street and Toms Lane.
All vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the road whilst works are in progress.
If made, the order will come into force on August 11.
Norfolk Road, Rickmansworth - temporary closure
The county council intends to prohibit all traffic from using a stretch of Norfolk Road from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.25 north eastwards and south eastwards for a distance of approximately 12m.
An alternative route will be via Norfolk Road, Church Street, Skidmore Way, Waters Drive and Norfolk Road.
If made, the order will come into force on August 12.

A41 Hempstead Road, Hunton Bridge – temporary closure Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using the A41 Hempstead Road, Hunton Bridge from its junction with the A41 North Western Avenue/A411 Hempstead Road roundabout north westwards to its junction with Old Mill Road, a distance of approximately 218m, to allow works to be carried out. If made, this order will come into force on August 25. Nightingale Road, Rickmansworth – temporary closure The county council is intending to make an order to prohibit all vehicles from using Nightingale Road, Rickmansworth from its junction with A404 Chorleywood Road north eastwards to its junction with A404 Chorleywood Road, a distance of approximately 124m, except for access. This is to allow gas works to be carried out. This order, if made, will come into force on August 25. Astons Road, Moor Park – temporary closure An order is set to be made to prohibit all vehicles from using Astons Road, Moor Park from its junction with Batchworth Lane north eastwards to its junction with Anson Walk, a distance of approximately 76m, except for access, to allow works to take place. If made, this order will come into force on August 28.

Harthall Lane, Kings Langley – temporary closure The county council is intending to make an order to prevent all vehicles from using Harthall Lane, Kings Langley, from its junction with Toms Lane north-westwards to Bedmond Road south-westwards, south-eastwards and north-eastwards to its junction with Harthall Lane, a distance of approximately 2.41km, except for access, to enable utility service works to be carried out. If made, this order will come into force on August 18. Gallows Hill, Abbots Langley – temporary closure An order is set to be made to prohibit all vehicles from using Gallows Hill, Abbots Langley from its junction with Hill Lane northwards to its junction with Abbots Road, a distance of approximately 360m, except for access, to allow utility service works to take place. This order, if made, will come into force on August 18. High Street and Bell Lane, Bedmond – temporary closure Herts County Council is intending to make an order to prevent all vehicles from using the following lengths of road for utility service works: - High Street, Bedmond from a point in line with the south-western boundary of No.23 High Street northwards for a distance of approximately 61m. - Bell Lane, Bedmond from its junction with High Street eastwards for a distance of approximately 11m. If made, this order will come into force on August 18. Woodfield Rise/Caldecote Gardens, Bushey – temporary closure The county council is set to make an order to prevent all vehicles from using Woodfield Rise/Caldecote Gardens, Bushey from its junction with Little Bushey Lane south-westwards for a distance of approximately 483m, except for access, so utility service works can take place. This order, if made, will come into force on August 18.

Traffic restrictions set to affect major roads in Bromley

Traffic restrictions are set to affect multiple roads in Bromley due to maintenance work this month. The London Borough of Bromley Council has issued a notice under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The order will come into effect on Wednesday, August 13, with no specified finish date. It will have a maximum duration of 18 months, with works beginning on or after the commencement date. The affected streets are listed as follows: Brackley Road, Beckenham; Bromley Lane, Chislehurst; Bromley Road, Chislehurst; Bull Lane, Chislehurst; Centre Common Road, Chislehurst; Church Row, Chislehurst; Croydon Road, Beckenham; Elmers End Road, Beckenham; Manor Park Road, Chislehurst; Pound Way, Chislehurst; Royal Parade, Chislehurst; Shepherds Green, Chislehurst; The Drive, Orpington; and Watts Lane, Chislehurst. The notice states that vehicles will be prohibited from waiting in the streets listed in the schedule until the works are completed. Any vehicle that contravenes this restriction may be removed under the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986. The notice also prohibits vehicles from proceeding in the affected streets, unless otherwise indicated by traffic signs. Temporary one-way working will be in place, again as indicated by traffic signs. Displaced traffic will be diverted via local streets, and the prohibitions will not apply to cul-de-sacs. Access to properties will be maintained as far as practicable from either side of the closure. Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times. The order will not apply to vehicles being used in connection with the works, or to anything done with the permission or direction of a police officer in uniform or a civil enforcement officer. The council's notice said: "Access to properties will be maintained as far as is practicable from either side of the closure as appropriate "Emergency access and egress routes will be maintained at all times." The notice came from Daniel Jones, director of environment and public protection at Bromley Civic Centre.
