Gordon Ramsay to get star on Hollywood Walk of Fame
Ramsay, who was born in Johnstone and grew up in Scotland, has restaurants around the world and is well-known for his fiery temper in the kitchen when he films his TV shows.
The 58-year-old TV chef and restaurateur is known for his Hell's Kitchen and Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares reality TV programmes.
Ramsay has earned a total of 17 Michelin stars throughout his career, with seven currently held across his restaurants.
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced the news on Wednesday, listing all the recipients for stars next year.
Announced alongside Ramsay was 31 stars of recordings, motion pictures, television, and sports, was Miley Cyrus, Timothée Chalamet, Shaquille O'Neal and Stanley Tucci.
Dates have not yet been scheduled for these star ceremonies as recipients have two years to schedule from the date of selection before they expire.
Upcoming ceremonies are usually announced 10 days prior to dedication on the Walk of Fame's official website.
Peter Roth, former CEO of Warner Bros. Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, said in a statement: 'We are excited to announce the newest selections of 35 esteemed individuals who will be enshrined onto the Walk of Fame as part of the prestigious Class of 2026,'
'These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are thrilled to honor them with this well-deserved recognition.'

It was one of actor Keith David's most emotional moments ever - and he wasn't even acting. The Emmy-winning entertainer, 69, was overjoyed Wednesday as he was announced as one of the next people to get a star on Hollywood Walk of Fame, sometime in 2026. David, who has been seen in films such as Crash, The Thing, and They Live, took to social media posting a clip of his reaction to the honor, which actor-comic Eugenio Derbez announced. When his name was announced as an honoree, David was seen with his mouth open, grabbing his chest at the happy surprise. 'What a surprise!' he said in a post on X. 'Being blessed to get to do this for a living is enough for me; to be recognized for my contribution to the arts is the cherry on top.' David added, 'Thank you, Hollywood Walk of Fame & Hollywood Chamber for this honor. This will be a wonderful birthday present next year.' David's clip was a hit with users on the MadeMeSmile subreddit as fans flooded the thread with supportive comments of the actor and his vast archive of performances, both in live-action and voiceover roles. One user wrote of the venerated actor: 'Icon. Long overdue.' Another user, speaking to the latter point of the honor being overdue, added, 'Seriously! This man is in some of the biggest movies of the 80s and was a genuine box-office draw. 'I'm sort of surprised this is only happening now.'
