Clement: Senior Rangers players were unhappy with Beale transfers
During this window, Michael Beale, who was at the helm, introduced players such as Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Jose Cifuentes, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, and Jack Butland, among others. Despite these signings, Beale was sacked in October 2023, less than two months after the transfer window closed. Clement, who succeeded Beale, revealed that several players expressed dissatisfaction with the new additions. The Belgian told the Sacked in the Morning podcast: "In the beginning, you speak first with the more senior guys who have experience. "So I did that with the captain group at that moment. Read more: "They were not in a good place. "They were not happy with the signings that were made in the summer." He added that the players believed the new signings did not meet the standards that had previously led Rangers to success. However, Clement said he managed to change their mindset after a few talks. He said: "It's easy to point to the others, but what did you guys do to make the others feel comfortable here, feel good here, to become good players? "They totally took that message. "And I think it was a very important part to have a good season with a lot of victories in a row." Clement left Rangers in February of this year.

Clement reveals Rangers dressing room unrest over Beale signings
Beale, Clement's predecessor, brought in the likes of Danilo, Cyriel Dessers, Sam Lammers, Jose Cifuentes, Dujon Sterling, Kieran Dowell, and Jack Butland, among others. The Englishman, however, was sacked in October, just under two months after the summer window slammed shut. Clement was then appointed, and when he came in, several players weren't happy: "In the beginning, you speak first with the more senior guys who have experience," said the Belgian [Sacked in the Morning podcast]. Read more: "So I did that with the captain group at that moment. "They were not in a good place. They were not happy with the signings that were made in the summer. And because of that, they felt it was not the standard that Rangers had before and that because of that, they hadn't been successful. "After a few talks, we could change that mindset. Because I told them also, 'It's easy to point to the others, but what did you guys do to make the others feel comfortable here, feel good here, to become good players? And maybe they are not ready yet, but it's your job also to help that'. "They totally took that message. And I think it was a very important part to have a good season with a lot of victories in a row, because it united the team in that moment, and the senior guys really took big responsibility in that to help the new guys, and they felt much more comfortable on and off the pitch." Clement is currently without work after departing Rangers in February of this year.
