Cardinals announce the hiring of five assistant coaches
The Cardinals announced the hiring of five assistant coaches and the promotions of two others.
The new coaches are:
Offensive line: Justin Frye
Defensive line: Winston DeLattiboudere III
Linebackers: Cristian Garcia
Outside linebackers Matt Feeney
Defensive quality control: Alec Osborne
The team promoted Connor Senger to pass game specialist and Blaine Gautier to offensive quality control.
Frye spent the past three seasons (2022-24) as the offensive line coach at Ohio State.
DeLattiboudere coached the defensive line the past two years (2023-24) at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota, and added the title of assistant head coach in 2024.
Garcia arrives in Arizona after spending last season with Cowboys as an assistant defensive backs/quality control coach.
Feeney spent the past three seasons with the Raiders, including in 2024 as the team's assistant defensive backs coach.
Osborne was the inside linebackers coach at his alma mater, the University of Louisiana-Monroe, last season. He previously worked as a defensive quality control coach at Baylor (2022-23) after coaching for three seasons (2019-21) as a defensive graduate assistant at LSU.
Senger was the Cardinals' assistant quarterbacks coach in 2024 after working as an offensive quality control coach in 2023.
Gautier spent the past two seasons (2023-24) with the Cardinals as a participant in the team's Bill Bidwill Coaching Fellowship.

Ohio State Athletics launches Center for Sports Intelligence and Strategy
On the heels of the House Settlement being approved, which paves the way for direct revenue sharing with college athletes, the Ohio State Department of Athletics announced the creation of the Center for Sports Intelligence & Strategy. It's not a physical building, mind you, but according to a release from the department, it is the bringing together of a cross-functional team of athletics department administrators dedicated to driving strategic planning, optimizing data-driven decision-making, and fostering collaboration across teams. It is designed to provide Ohio State coaches with access to cutting-edge analytics, strategic insights, and tools designed to inform and enhance key areas such as recruiting, scheduling, resource allocation, and roster construction. Advertisement In other words, it's designed to beat every other college and university athletic department when it comes to the new order of revenue sharing and NIL in amateur college sports. 'The Center for Sports Intelligence & Strategy will equip our coaches with more information, context, and clarity to make even better decisions,' said Shaun Richard, Deputy Athletics Director, in a statement. 'We already have the best sports science team that equips our coaches with data on training, recovery, and performance. This unit will work in tandem with our sports scientists, as well as our business and NIL strategy teams, to give coaches additional data and actionable insights.' There's no other way to explain this than groundbreaking. In a sense, Ohio State is looking to bring together sports sciences, operations, and athletic performance together to provide a better outcome for the student-athlete and success on the field. 'The intelligence and strategy we're providing will enhance our coaches' ability to make critical decisions by giving them the most relevant and timely information available – so they can maintain a competitive edge in every aspect of their programs,' said Richard. 'As coaches at Ohio State, we know the difference between winning and losing often comes down to the smallest details,' wrestling coach Tom Ryan said in the statement. Many areas will be impacted by the creation of the Center for Sports Intelligence and Strategy. It will be designed to integrate data and strategic expertise to support long-term planning and real-time decision-making. Areas of impact include recruiting and roster management, scheduling strategy, scholarship and budget modeling, and other operational aspects. The Ohio State Buckeyes have become a mecca of sorts for high school quarterbacks at their summer camp this week. Another top future signal-caller came to Columbus, Ohio, on Thursday. Advertisement On3's Mick Walker reported that 2027 five-star quarterback Elijah Haven was set to visit the Buckeyes' campus on Thursday. The highly regarded signal-caller could be closing in on an offer from Ohio State. "Ohio State not offered the 6-foot-4, 205-pound Haven, but quarterbacks coach Billy Fessler has been evaluating him," Walker wrote on Wednesday. On3 ranks Haven as the top quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class and the No. 9 overall prospect. Overall, he is ranked No. 22 in the class according to the composite rankings. The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine has projected Haven to land with the LSU Tigers. Haven also has the Michigan Wolverines high on his list of schools. Advertisement Walker wrote that the quarterback has also received offers from the Auburn Tigers, Georgia Bulldogs, Miami Hurricanes and Ole Miss Rebels. But an offer from the reigning national champions could always shake things up. Walker added Wednesday that Haven will be one of four Louisiana prospects in Columbus this week. The other three were expected to be wide receiver Miguel Whitley, offensive lineman Zyion Wesley and safety Emmanuel Moses. On3's Mick Walker reported Monday that Ohio State was set to host six of the top 25 quarterbacks in the 2027 recruiting class at their summer camp this week. The Buckeyes have already received two verbal commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, and one of them is a quarterback: four-star prospect Brady Edmunds.
