There was a large-scale police response and three male teenagers, aged 14, 15, 17, a 16-year-old girl and a man, aged 23, have been charged. Previously, three men, aged 22, 38 and 47, and two females, aged 15 and 36, were charged over alleged disorder. Some of the protesters are accused of throwing eggs and stones at cops. Cops surrounded a property and Graham was hurried into a police van while being escorted by officers holding riot shields. The latest charges will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal and officers are aware of another planned gathering on August 8. Police have encouraged people not to engage in any anti-social behaviour. Graham was found guilty last month of having sexual relations with a 15-year-old girl. The offences took place in the former Scottish Labour councillor's home, office and car over more than six months. In August 2023, we revealed that he had been arrested and suspended by the party. "We understand there are strong feelings in the local area but that is no excuse for violence or disorder. We are particularly concerned with the number of children who have been present. 'Our enquiries into these gatherings are ongoing as we work to identify further individuals involved in this incident. 'Anyone taking part on disorder or inciting or encouraging others to be involved should expect to be identified and charged accordingly.'

Horrified witnesses saw blood pouring from the victim's head LODGE BUST-UP Thug who knocked out OAP & called him an 'Orange b*****d' at Scots lodge dodges jail Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) A THUG who knocked out a pensioner and branded him an 'orange b*****d' after a football awards night has been ordered to pay £750 compensation. James Clarke, 47, had been at the prize-giving evening at an Orange Hall in Bellshill, Lanarkshire, that was also attended by Hugh McLean. Horrified witnesses ran to help and saw Mr McLean had blood pouring from his head in December last year. When challenged over the attack, callous Clarke labelled them 'orange bs'. Police were called and he was arrested after doorbell footage of the incident was shown to officers. Clarke, of Bellshill, appeared at Hamilton Sheriff Court and admitted assault. The charge stated the offence was aggravated by 'prejudice relating to religion or perceived religious affiliation'. Sheriff John Hamilton KC ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work and placed him under supervision for a year in addition to the compensation. Depute fiscal Rosemary O'Neill told the court witnesses had intervened on the night. She said: "The accused approached Mr McLean and punched him on the head causing him to fall and strike his head on the path. "They exited their vehicle and approached both the complainer and the accused, noting that Mr McLean was unconscious and bleeding from his head. Three charged with murder after boy, 19, stabbed to death in Powerleague football car park "They immediately recognised the accused from the same engagement they had been at earlier that evening and challenged him where he proceeded to call them 'orange bs'. "Police were called and another witness approached to provide CCTV from his doorbell and were able to identify the accused." Jackson Bateman, defending, said: "It's not lost on him that this is a serious matter, but there are alternatives open to the court. "He tells me that compensation is something he would be keen to do and would fully comply with that." 2 James Clarke dodged jail after calling an OAP an 'Orange b*****d' Sheriff Hamilton said: "In the circumstances, I will impose a community payback order. "But if you fail to comply, it will be brought back before the court and, given the nature of the offence, the likelihood is you will go to jail."
