Video shows police chase, arrest suspects after Upland restaurant break-in

Police arrested a man and a 16-year-old suspected of burglarizing a restaurant in San Bernardino County, then leading officers on a destructive pursuit Thursday.
Two more suspects remain at large as of Friday night.
The Upland Police Department posted details along with a video edit to X, showing events from the break-in, the pursuit and the arrests.
Police said a call came in around 3:30 a.m. for a burglary alarm set off at a restaurant near 7th Street and Mountain Avenue.
When officers arrived, they saw suspects running into a stolen Dodge Challenger.
'To no one's surprise, the vehicle immediately fled,' the department said in its X post.
Pursuing officers performed a PIT maneuver in the parking lot, but the Challenger continued on.
Police said the suspect driver then intentionally rammed into one of Upland PD's units and kept fleeing.
'Since these guys are pros at making poor life choices, they made yet another one by driving up Linda Way, which is a dead end,' explained the department. 'The driver of the Challenger then tried to squeeze between two parked cars to get onto the sidewalk and got stuck.'
All of the occupants then bailed out of the car and attempted to keep running on foot, but officers soon captured the driver – a man from South Gate – who was already on probation for burglary.
'Stop breaking into businesses, how about that,' an officer was heard saying while putting the shirtless suspect into the police car. 'Get a job.'
The department said officers quickly detained the second suspect – only identified as a 16-year-old from Los Angeles – in the nearby carports.
Police booked the two suspects for assault with a deadly weapon on an officer, commercial burglary, felony evading, grand theft auto, resisting and several other charges.
'Two remaining suspects evaded capture that night, but may see us soon,' said Upland PD.
Investigators found that the Challenger had a stolen paper plate on it and a different stolen plate inside the car.
Officials later determined that the second stolen plate was associated with other burglaries.
