Blue is the colour: Maresca turns on his critics after Chelsea secure fourth place
Chelsea finished fourth in the Premier League after Levi Colwill scored the only goal at the City Ground, jumping ahead of Newcastle, who slipped to a final-day defeat at home to Everton. Maresca, this his first season in charge after joining from Leicester, praised his team – the youngest in Premier League history with an average age of 24 years and 36 days.

'I didn't have any doubt about the players,' said the head coach. 'The doubt was from outside. All the ones that have the answers or the ones that have the truth, they were saying that we are too young, we are not good enough … They were saying that we were not able to win on this pitch because we are too young, because we are not experienced.
'Unfortunately for them, they have all been wrong. All the ones that have the truth and have the answers to everything. So in English, how do you say? Eff-off to all of them, because the players deserve that. The effort they have been doing is fantastic. Most of the time it [the noise] was from the outside was: we are not good enough, we are too young, we don't have leaders, blah, blah blah, these kinds of things.
'We are in a business where people judge us because of results. Today, if we were not able to win the game, probably all of you [the media] would judge the season as a disaster. But it was not a disaster.'
Nuno Espírito Santo said his Forest players would deservedly rest after returning to Europe for the first time since 1995-96 while Chelsea's focus turns to facing Real Betis in Wroclaw on Wednesday. 'If we are able to win, I think we can say overall that it has been a very good season,' Maresca said. 'I already said that, for me, it was a good season but it can become very good if we are able to get Champions League and hopefully we can win on Wednesday.'

It's difficult to put into words. It's kind of every night is the crowd's first night, so every night has kinda got the same energy to it. But it's been truly amazing. I'm not usually short for words, but I can't really answer." Reflecting on the first night in Cardiff, the band's initial gig in nearly two decades, he added: "We're not really a band who kind of have huddles before we go on or anything like that.", reports the Mirror. "I can't speak for anywhere else, but for me personally, I grossly underestimated what I was getting into. After about five minutes I was like can I just go back to the dressing room and start this again. "I don't mind telling you my legs went to jelly about halfway through the second song and I could have done with going back. It has been an amazing thing." Noel then shared some warm words about his brother Liam. The duo have made a habit of walking out hand-in-hand for every show in Dublin, Edinburgh, London, their hometown of Wembley, and the opening weekend in Cardiff. Speaking about their on-stage embraces, he said: "We are not those kinda guys. It is great just to be back with Bonehead and Liam and just be doing it again. I guess when it is all said and done we will reflect on it. It's good being back in the band with Liam, I forgot how funny he was!". Commenting on Liam's universally praised vocals, he said: "Liam is smashing it, I am proud of him. Having fronted a band for 16 years I know how hard that is. I couldn't do the stadium thing like he does, I have gotta say man I look at him and think 'good for you mate'." When asked about Knebworth or the end of the tour, Noel responded with a chuckle: "Lets talk about football." He discussed Manchester City's recent victory and expressed his excitement for Oasis' upcoming performance at the River Plate stadium in Argentina this November. He added: "It's the penultimate show, and we've played there a few times before. Without a doubt, Argentina is one of our top five favourite places to perform worldwide. "We are going to Toronto on Friday and then we're in the States for the best part of a month and then Mexico and then back for two more Wembleys. "When it all started there were a few people who I thought would come looking for tickets but after the first gig my phone exploded. Once they had seen it online there was a mad scramble for it." He confessed it was extraordinary to witness countless supporters outside the venues singing along to the performances and remarked: "Something else is happening that we haven't put our fingers on yet." Oasis are touring for the first time in 16 years and have now finished their UK and Ireland dates apart from two additional Wembley performances when they return from America. Tickets became available last year and triggered extraordinary demand. The concerts, which kicked off in Cardiff on July 4, have garnered glowing reviews across the board and generated emotional moments both amongst audiences and on stage.

Michigan State football WR coach Courtney Hawkins breaks down position group amidst camp
Michigan State football is in the midst of camp as it prepares for the 2025 season, and in particularly, the week one showdown with Western Michigan. One thing that has been a constant throughout camp, the wide receiver room is showing out and could be one of the deepest rooms in the conference. A big thanks for constructing, and coaching that room, goes to wide receivers coach Courtney Hawkins, who time and time again shows that he is an elite coach at the position group. Hawkins was masterful at building a transfer portal class to go along with retaining Nick Marsh, and it gives MSU fans a ton to be excited about. On Monday, Hawkins was the coach tabbed to speak to the media, where he broke down his position group and spoke about how deep of a group he has, while highlighting the play of some specific players.
