
Police investigate incident in Brantford's downtown core
Just before 5 a.m., the Brantford Police Service posted an update to social media saying Colborne Street was closed from Clarence Street to Alfred Street while officers responded to an active investigation in the area.
Police have not released details about the nature of the incident but are asking residents to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
More information is expected to be released as it becomes available.

(CTV News Edmonton/Sean McClune) A five-vehicle crash has closed part of 82 Street between Yellowhead Trail and 127 Avenue Tuesday evening. Police say a Jeep came up on the traffic line too fast, braked very hard, very late and collided with the other four vehicles that were stopped just north of the bridge on 82 Street.
