Noida: Two youths, who took up a house on rent in Sector 12 on Wednesday, allegedly killed a 40-year-old man at the same place hours later.
Two people called Ompal Bhati — hailing from Bulandshahr and a resident of Sector 94 — to Sector 12 on Wednesday afternoon.
Bhati, who ran a currency exchange in Sector 18, allegedly took Rs 10 lakh with him, Ompal's brother Jitendra Solanki said.
Solanki believed that his brother was murdered by people who stole the money from him.
An ironer who worked opposite the building claimed that she was at her shop when the bullet was fired. A few seconds after the firing, two people came out of the house and tried to snatch the bag from each other. There was a fight between the two.
Both of them fled within a few seconds, she said.
DCP Yamuna Prasad said the incident took place in Sector 24 police station area, adding, police are scanning CCTV footage. The DCP said, "The youths took the flat on rent on Wednesday by paying the token amount. In the evening, the landlord heard the sound of a gunshot and later went to check. He found the deceased in the house. The youths fled, leaving their scooter behind," the DCP said, adding that footage has revealed that Ompal wasn't carrying any bag.

The house is on the first floor of the building, while the landlord, Pradeep Kumar Kashyap, and his family occupy the other two floors above and below it. According to Kashyap, a young man named Pawan and his friend visited the locality on Tuesday to find a house on rent. They returned around 12.30pm on Wednesday and paid Kashyap a token amount of Rs 1,000, with the promise to provide the rent amount of Rs 12,000 and their Aadhaar cards by the evening.
The youths then began to clean the house.
Around 2pm, the youths called Bhati to meet them at the house and the three stayed inside for about 90 minutes. Around 4pm, the gunshot was heard and Kashyap called out to the youths to find out what happened. They allegedly told him their air cooler fell that made the noise.
However, a crowd gathered, prompting Kashyap to check the house. Upon finding Bhati's body, Kashyap informed the police.

Bengaluru cops nab Nigerian woman trying to peddle 5.3kg MDMA worth Rs 10.5 crore

Bengaluru: In one of the biggest drug busts in recent times, a 25-year-old Nigerian was arrested by Central Crime Branch (CCB) sleuths when she was trying to sell MDMA crystals weighing over 5.3kg, and valued at around Rs 10.5 crore, near Rajanukunte. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now The accused has been identified as Akinwunmi Princess Ifeoluwa, alias Princess, a resident of Uttam Nagar in Nawada, New Delhi. CCB's anti-narcotics wing (ANW) police inspector Rakshith AK got a tip-off around noon on June 10 about a foreign national trying to sell drugs in Tarahunase village, 6km from Rajanukunte. Rakshith alerted his seniors, including assistant commissioner of police Mahananda HK, who formed a special team to nab the peddler. When cops rushed to Tarahunase village, they found a woman with a bag seemingly waiting for someone. After confirming she was the peddler flagged by the informant, police detained her around 4pm. When police asked her to show her bag, she didn't cooperate initially. Eventually, she confessed she had come to New Delhi in Oct 2021 using a student visa. She claimed she wanted to get admission at a private deemed-to-be university, but when she didn't get a proper response from the college, she didn't enrol and started working as a hairdresser and pedicurist in the national capital. As she was unable to earn enough to lead a lavish life, she went into the drug peddling business. She allegedly met another Nigerian woman named Asa, who instructed her to take drugs to Bengaluru by bus and hand them over to someone. Accordingly, Princess packed the MDMA crystal in packets and reached Bengaluru on June 10. While she was waiting for Asa's message about the man to whom she was supposed to hand over the drugs, she was caught by cops. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Police found 5,325 grams of MDMA crystals and an iPhone on her. A case has been registered under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, and the Foreigners Act, 1946, for overstaying. Further investigation is on to nab Asa and the others involved in the matter.

Boy dies after coming in contact with high-tension wire in outer Delhi

New Delhi: A 10-year-old boy died, and his brother was injured after they accidentally came in contact with a high-tension wire while playing on their terrace in outer Delhi's Nangloi. Police said that they got information about the incident around 6.30pm on Wednesday. The caller reported what was then believed to be a fire-related accident at Lakshmi Park, prompting a team from the police station to rush to the scene. Deputy commissioner of police (outer district) Sachin Sharma said that during the initial assessment, it was found that high-tension overhead electric wires were running directly above the house. It is suspected that the boys accidentally came in contact with the wires while playing. "There was no major fire outbreak. The incident was identified as a case of accidental electrocution," the police said. Both children suffered burn injuries. Their father, who works in the private sector, and their mother, a homemaker, were at home when the mishap occurred. The boys were immediately rushed to a hospital. Sadly, the older child succumbed to injuries during treatment, DCP Sharma said. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 오스템 임플란트 받아가세요 임플란터 더 알아보기 Undo The fire department reported that the 10-year-old suffered approximately 35% burns, while his younger brother had about 19% burns. Appropriate legal action has been initiated under relevant sections of the law. A neighbour, Pradeep, recounted the horrifying moment. "I was inside my house when I suddenly heard a loud blast. I ran outside and immediately alerted the fire brigade," he said. "We don't know exactly how the boys came in contact with the wires, but the high-tension lines are very close to the rooftop of their house." Several tragic incidents of electrocution involving children and adults have been reported across Delhi. Last month, a nine-year-old boy was electrocuted while playing at a park in Kalkaji. In July last year, a 34-year-old woman died after suspected electrocution while walking through a waterlogged street in northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura. "If we succeed with our plan, this would be largest attack on US ...," read encrypted message of Pakistani extradited for planning ISIS-inspired terror attacks in New York

Muhammad Shahzeb Khan entered Canada from Pakistan on a student visa in 2023. A Pakistani national residing in Canada, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan , also known as Shahzeb Jadoon, was extradited to the United States this week to face charges for plotting an ISIS-inspired mass shooting at a Jewish community center in New York City. The planned attack, intended to coincide with the first anniversary of the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel. The plot was uncovered largely through Khan's use of encrypted messaging apps, which reportedly played a critical role in both his planning and eventual apprehension. FBI Director Kash Patel said Khan allegedly tried to enter the US to commit the attack and planned an ISIS-inspired mass shooting on October 7, 2024, around the first anniversary of the 2023 Hamas terrorist attack in Israel. "Major news… earlier this afternoon, Muhammad Shahzeb Khan, a Pakistani citizen residing in Canada, was extradited to the United States on charges of attempting to provide material support to ISIS and attempting to commit acts of terrorism," Patel said in a post on Twitter. How Muhammad Shahzeb Khan relied on messaging apps Khan, 20, was charged in the Southern District of New York, according to a Department of Justice press release. The investigation revealed that Khan relied heavily on encrypted messaging platforms to communicate his plans, believing these apps provided secure and untraceable communication. However, one of his contacts was an undercover FBI agent. The encrypted message that exposed Khan's intentions was sent to this agent, whom Khan is said to have trusted as an ally. In a communication with undercover law enforcement officers, Khan claimed that if the plan succeeded, it would be "the largest attack on US soil since 9/11." In it, he also outlined his goal to kill "as many Jewish people as possible" in New York City on October 7, 2024. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Memperdagangkan CFD Emas dengan salah satu spread terendah? IC Markets Mendaftar Undo The investigation gained momentum after the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) arrested a father and son, Ahmed Eldidi and Mostafa Eldidi, on July 31, 2024, in connection with a separate terrorist plot in Ontario. This arrest is said to have spooked Khan, prompting him to send an encrypted message to his supposed associates, urging them to "lay low" and avoid social media to evade detection. The recipients were undercover agents who encouraged him to proceed with the attack, assuring him that weapons were ready. This deception kept Khan engaged, allowing authorities to reportedly gather further evidence through monitored encrypted communications. Khan arrived in Toronto on June 24, 2023, on a student visa, though it remains unclear which university he was enrolled in. On September 4, 2024, he began his journey toward the US border, starting in Toronto and driving to Napanee, Ontario, to pick up others allegedly involved in the plot. In Napanee, Khan and an unidentified female switched vehicles and continued to Montreal, where they changed cars again with another person driving. Approximately 19 kilometers from the US border, Canadian authorities stopped the vehicle and arrested Khan, thwarting the planned attack. He was provisionally arrested in Canada in September 2024 based on a complaint filed in the Southern District of New York. The case underscores the dual nature of encrypted messaging apps in modern terrorism investigations. While these platforms offer privacy and are widely used for legitimate purposes, they are also exploited by individuals planning illicit activities. AI Masterclass for Students.
