The accident happened at around 9am on Thursday in Connecticut, US.
This is believed to be the same time that wrestling icon Hulk Hogan passed away.
A crash report has revealed that the crash happened as McMahon, 79, was driving northbound on Route 15 in Westport.
TMZ claim that the car smashed into the back of a BMW before colliding with a guardrail.
The black car was left with a lot of damage on the right side of the front as a wheel had been ripped off.
It is added that debris from the collision flew into the other lane of the highway.
This caused damage to a third vehicle, a Ford, that was driving southbound.
The force of the impact on McMahon's Bentley and the BMW was severe enough to force the airbags to deploy.
The report has added that all three drivers involved were wearing their seatbelts.
The cleanup required all three cars to be towed away and damage to the guardrail was spread over 30 feet.

The BMW driver has been confirmed as Barbara Doran, who shared pictures of the crash on Facebook.
She claimed that she both cars have been "totalled" and that McMahon was driving at 90mph.
She wrote: "Lucky to have survived a horrific car crash on the way up to catch the ferry to Martha's Vineyard last Thursday morning. Both cars totaled.
"Vince McMahon, former chair of WWE, hit me going 80-90mph as I drove in the right lane of the narrow Merritt Highway.
"I and the dog are mostly fine, but was lucky to have kept control of the car, more or less, as I shot off the road after being catapulted over 100 yards.
"The trooper told me afterwards that McMahon saw me last minute and swerved, smashing into my left rear, but that if he had hit me full on, there might've been a very different ending for me.
"Amazing that no other cars were hit, and that I got out of the car, hands shaking for a good twenty minutes, but otherwise seemingly unscathed (stiff neck later, etc., and full battery of hospital scans and bloodwork. Time will tell I am told).
"Oddly, Hulk Hogan, who made McMahon's fame and fortune, died about the same time as the accident."
McMahon will be appearing in court next month, having been issued a misdemeanour summons for reckless driving and following too closely.
Later that day, McMahon was mourning the death of Hogan as he led tributes on social media.
Hours after the crash, he penned a public statement on the Hall of Famer that was released for fans.
It read: "The world lost a treasure today.
"Hulk Hogan was the greatest WWE Superstar of ALL TIME, someone who was loved and admired around the world
"He was a trailblazer, the first performer who transitioned from being a wrestling star into a global phenomenon.
"His grit and unbridled thirst for success were unparalleled - and made him the consummate performer.
"He gave everything he had to the audience whom he appreciated, respected and loved."
McMahon then closed with Hogan's catchphrase.
"He leaves us with one of his favourite expressions, 'Train, take your vitamins and say your prayers.'
"Today, we pray for him."

Cat named Leonardo da Pinchy terrorises town by stealing people's underwear

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video A cheeky cat called Leonardo da Pinchi has been stealing pants and socks from his neighbours. His relentless laundry raids have made him quite the notorious celebrity in Mairangi Bay, New Zealand. The 15-month-old feline thief has expensive taste too – seeking out silk boxer shorts and thick men's work socks, often with the clothes pegs still attached. He's even stolen a brand-new $300 NZD (£134) cashmere sweater. His criminal life first started when he was let outdoors for the first time last year. The problem has got out of hand for his owner Helen North who struggles to manage her cat's kleptomania. She said: 'My daughter was at home sick and she rang me at work saying, 'It's bad, it's bad, this is the worst thing he's brought in, it's really bad,' she said. 'Because it was beautiful. I was like, 'Ooh, can I keep that?' But I couldn't.' To Helen's horror, the stolen stash just keeps growing – everything from piles of socks, loads of underwear, and even a bizarre five-foot-long stuffed snake. Leo's record so far in one day is nine stolen items. Helen continued: 'He brought in a jersey this morning at ten past eight. The shops hadn't even opened.' Helen has tried everything under the sun to stop his thieving habits including keeping him indoors to leaving out clothes at home for him to steal. She said: 'He only wants stuff that he shouldn't have.' She has no choice now but to post photos of his loot on a local Facebook page, along with an apology and her address. A woman recognised her pink and purple underpants, and a boy was reunited with his missing sports jersey. More Trending One of Leo's regular targets is allergic to cats and she is forced to dry her washing indoors. 'All of our neighbours think he's amazing,' she said. 'Some of them are quite put out that he hasn't actually stolen anything of theirs.' Helen hopes that this is just a childhood phase for Leo and that he will grow out of it. She added: 'I hope he grows out of it because I don't want to do this for like, 15 years. This is a lot of admin.' The suspect was last spotted near Stump Town, which is a short distance west from Anaconda. He is believed to be armed. Details around the shooting were not immediately released by law enforcement officials. Officers searched the suspect's home in Anaconda and he was nowhere to be found. They are hunting for him in the woods. Business owners said they were still under lockdown two hours after the shooting. More Trending 'We are Montana, so guns are not new to us. For our town to be locked down, everybody's pretty rattled,' said Barbie Nelson, owner of Firefly Café. 'It's a small town, so we all probably know someone who was there.' Governor Greg Gianforte wrote on X that he is 'closely monitoring the situation involving an active shooter in Anaconda'. Anaconda is roughly 75 miles southeast of Missoula. Got a story?
