USA Today3 hours ago
The first baseball teams from the United States have punched their ticket to the 2025 Little League World Series, and there won't be a repeat champion this year.
Texas East from the Southwest region and South Carolina out of the Southeast region are each headed to Williamsport, Pennsylvania, beginning on August 13 to take part in the annual youth sports tradition broadcast nationally by ESPN. Lamar Little League in Richmond, Texas and the Irmo, South Carolina-based Southeast representative won their respective regional tournaments in recent days to earn a coveted spot. Irmo defeated Lake Mary Little League, the Florida-based organization that won the 2024 Little League World Series.
Regional tournaments have been playing out throughout the country since the end of last week, with eight more spots up for grabs during championship games scheduled through the end of the week. There's a lot at stake as 52 Little League teams representing all 50 states get whittled down to the 10 that make it to the Little League World Series. There are already 10 international teams that clinched a 2025 trip to Williamsport.
Here's a look at the latest results, scores and upcoming schedule for every Little League Baseball World Series regional tournament bracket to determine the United States teams that qualify for the 2025 LLWS:

Roger Goodell explained why he doesn't think ESPN will change NFL RedZone

The deal had been rumored and reported for weeks, and on Tuesday, it became official. ESPN is acquiring the rights to distribute NFL Network and NFL RedZone in exchange for a 10 percent stake in the network. And while the deal obviously ruins any facade of objectivity ESPN has with respect to covering the NFL, fans are also concerned about what it will mean for the wildly popular NFL RedZone. RedZone — and its seven hours of commercial-free football — has been a staple of the NFL fan experience for 16 years now. And the last thing fans want is for ESPN to come in, replace Scott Hanson with Stephen A. Smith and load RedZone with ads. In an interview on SportsCenter Wednesday, Roger Goodell assured fans that nothing about RedZone would change. According to Goodell, RedZone would remain an in-house production for the NFL. Just instead, it will air on ESPN-owned platforms. Under that arrangement, ESPN wouldn't actually be able to change the content we see on RedZone. It would almost seem like ESPN is just simulcasting the typical version of RedZone. At least that's how Goodell described the beginning of this arrangement. Could ESPN slowly make changes to the product down the road? It wouldn't be surprising. But for now, it does sound like RedZone will remain the same viewing experience. That's good to hear. WWE Consumer Pricing In 2026 Is Way Less Expensive Than You Think

WWE announced a five-year deal to air on ESPN DTC. But as WWE's already plum bank account continues to grow, some fans are worried about their own finances when it comes to viewing WWE content in 2026. Of course, WWE and ESPN's joint announcement was accompanied by social media uproar as many fans misinterpreted the cost of WWE PLEs once the promotion moves to ESPN DTC. How Much Will WWE Content Cost On ESPN DTC? 'In addition to ESPN DTC subscribers, fans that access ESPN through a traditional pay TV provider, e.g. Comcast, DirectTV, Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, will also have access to the new features through the enhanced ESPN App,' read an ESPN DTC fact sheet. The Total Cost of Watching WWE In 2026 Since the launch of WWE Network in 2014, WWE fans have become accustomed to paying $9.99 for PLEs. When WWE signed with Peacock, that price reduced to $4.99 per month before increasing to $7.99. The idea of having to pay an extra $29.99—a price point that will not apply to many viewers of ESPN DTC—sent some fans into a frenzy. In reality, the total monthly price of watching WWE programming is less than a WWE pay-per-view prior to April of 2014. It is also less than watching an AEW pay-per-view, which is typically priced at $49.99 or $7 per hour.
