June 12 (UPI) -- White Lotus actress Michelle Monaghan discussed what it was like filming a Tom Cruise kiss on her honeymoon when she stopped by The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon Wednesday.
Monaghan, 49, shared the story after Fallon congratulated her on her upcoming 20th wedding anniversary to husband Peter White.
The couple's wedding coincided with Monaghan's filming for Mission: Impossible III.
"My husband's Australian, so we got married in Australia, actually and we didn't have time for a honeymoon because we had to start filming, I think, three days later, so we flew back to LA," she said.
She recalled receiving her call sheet and seeing that her first day would require her to film "an intimate scene with Tom Cruise."
"I was so nervous about it," Monaghan said. "I get up at 4 a.m., I dart out of the hotel, I forget my key, of course. And I go to work, and I proceed to have the best day with Tom and J.J. Abrams, our director."
When she arrived back at the hotel that evening, her husband said "brush your teeth and tell me all about it."
"He looked at me and he grabbed my arms and he goes, 'How cool is it that you were making out with Tom Cruise on our honeymoon?'" she said. "... I married the right dude."
Monaghan recently starred in Season 3 of The White Lotus. She portrayed actress Jaclyn, who was vacationing at a luxury resort in Thailand with longtime friends Laurie (Carrie Coon) and Kate (Leslie Bibb).

Steven Spielberg to introduce 'Jaws' for NBC's 50th anniversary broadcast
June 13 (UPI) -- Steven Spielberg is set to introduce his classic shark thriller, Jaws, for a special NBC broadcast on June 20 in honor of the film's 50th anniversary. "Universal is home to the biggest movies in the world and it doesn't get any bigger than Jaws," Jenny Storms, chief marketing officer at NBCUniversal Television & Streaming, said in a press release on Thursday. "We want to celebrate 50 years of this enduring film that has captured the public imagination for generations by bringing it to audiences at home in all the ways they love to watch." The film about a Great White shark terrorizing a New England beach community around the Fourth of July stars Roy Scheider, Robert Shaw, Richard Dreyfuss, Lorraine Gary and Murray Hamilton. As of Sunday, all four Jaws movies will be streaming exclusively on Peacock through July 14. A 50th anniversary edition of the movie will also be released Tuesday on digital and as a 4K/Blu-ray and digital combo pack, which includes the documentary, Jaws @ 50: The Definitive Inside Story. The documentary will also air on NatGeo next month as part of its SharkFest programming block.

Each season of the Prime Video show is set in a different location and revolves around new characters whom drifter and former military police officer Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) meets as he crisscrosses the United States by bus and attempts to live off the grid. Gone Tomorrow takes place in New York City. No casting aside from Ritchson has been announced yet. Season 3 -- which premiered in February -- was inspired by Child's Persuader.

"I wanted to come on Top Chef to showcase Afro-Caribbean food and prove that it deserves a place in fine dining," said the owner of Epps & Flows Culinary in Houston. "I didn't do this for myself, nor did I get here on my own. I had a lot of support and people who believed in me that gave me the strength to not quit and keep pushing to the end of this incredible Top Chef journey," he added. "Now, I just hope to be that same support, step or channel for someone else because that's what others were for me." Epps-Long was awarded a $250,000 cash prize, as well as a $125,000 flight credit for Delta Air Lines, a feature story in Food & Wine magazine and an appearance at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen. He is also set to be a presenter at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago on Monday.
