June 13 (UPI) -- Tristen Epps-Long has been crowned the winner of Bravo's Top Chef Season 22, beating out fellow finalists Bailey Sullivan and Shuai Wang for the honor Thursday night.
"I wanted to come on Top Chef to showcase Afro-Caribbean food and prove that it deserves a place in fine dining," said the owner of Epps & Flows Culinary in Houston.
"I didn't do this for myself, nor did I get here on my own. I had a lot of support and people who believed in me that gave me the strength to not quit and keep pushing to the end of this incredible Top Chef journey," he added. "Now, I just hope to be that same support, step or channel for someone else because that's what others were for me."
Epps-Long was awarded a $250,000 cash prize, as well as a $125,000 flight credit for Delta Air Lines, a feature story in Food & Wine magazine and an appearance at the Food & Wine Classic in Aspen.
He is also set to be a presenter at the James Beard Restaurant and Chef Awards in Chicago on Monday.

Writers Roundtable: Seth Rogen, Jen Statsky, Craig Mazin, Lauren LeFranc & More

When you gather the creative minds behind six of the most entertaining and acclaimed shows of 2025, the conversation is destined for narrative intrigue. The writers who took part in this year's Envelope Roundtable touched on social media blackouts, release strategies, runaway production, even the wonder of Bravo's 'The Valley.' How's that for a twist? This panelists are Debora Cahn of 'The Diplomat,' about an American foreign service officer thrust into a thorny web of geopolitics; R. Scott Gemmill of 'The Pitt,' which focuses on front-line healthcare workers inside a Pittsburgh hospital during a single 15-hour shift; Lauren LeFranc of 'The Penguin,' a reimagining of the Batman villain Oswald Cobblepot as a rising Gotham City kingpin, Oz Cobb; Craig Mazin of 'The Last Of Us,' an adaptation of the popular video game series about survivors of an apocalyptic pandemic; Seth Rogen of 'The Studio,' a chronicle of the film industry's mercenary challenges as seen through the eyes of a newly appointed studio chief; and Jen Statsky of 'Hacks,' about an aging comic's complicated relationship with her outspoken mentee.

The Valley's Nia Sanchez and Danny Booko Give Update After Welcoming Fourth Baby

Earlier this month, the population of The Valley increased by one. Danny Booko and his wife Nia Sanchez welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl they named Adelaide. Now that she's a mom to 'four under four,' Miss USA 2014 is acclimating to life with her new family. 'In awe' of what her body has accomplished in just three and a half years, Nia posted a photo of herself holding baby Adelaide. She marveled over what the bodies of women can do. But at the same time, she questioned how much we're never told before we go through it ourselves. 'Let's normalize postpartum bodies — truly, fully, unapologetically,' she wrote. 'As I look at this body … I choose to see its strength and beauty,' she wrote. 'This body delivered all of our 4 babies in 3.5 years. And now, this body is healing, nurturing, and sustaining our baby with love and nourishment.' 'I am in awe. I am grateful,' she concluded. In addition to baby Adelaide, Nia and Danny are parents to three-year-old Asher and two-year-old twins, Zariah and Isabelle. Finding time to have one-on-one time with all three of her older children while still finding time to rest is a struggle many moms deal with. 'I'm mostly resting … but somehow my day is so full,' she wrote. Her day also included having tea with Isabelle, making multiple appointments, meeting a new babysitter, and setting up piano lessons for Asher. 'Have not responded to one text,' she added. Family first! In addition, Nia reported, 'I'm trying to find time for 20-30 min dedicated time out of the house with each little one.' Yikes! I only had one, and I was exhausted for the first few weeks. Just a few days after giving birth, Danny and Nia took their brood to church for the first time as a family of six. After Nia's Instagram followers expressed surprise, Nia got real about what they couldn't see. 'I sure did wear a diaper to church,' she admitted. 'I was wearing an adult diaper, so this is just life. Literally going to church in an adult diaper.' Ah, new mom life. It's sweet, but has its challenges. The Valley airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on Bravo. It streams on Hayu in the UK and Ireland. TELL US – CAN YOU IMAGINE HAVING FOUR CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF FOUR? 'Minecraft Movie' to stream June 20 on Max

June 13 (UPI) -- Max announced Friday that A Minecraft Movie is coming to the service next week. The film begins streaming June 20. A Minecraft Movie has the highest box office of 2025 so far, standing at $423 million in its theatrical run. Jack Black and Jason Momoa lead the adaptation of the popular video game. Black plays Steve, a man who discovers the Overworld while exploring a local mine shaft. In the Overworld he can build whatever he imagines out of blocks. Steve also discovers The Nether, a world full of monsters, however, so remains in Overworld to keep The Nether from entering the real world. Momoa plays Garrett, a former video game champion who enters the Underworld with kids Natalie (Emma Myers) and Henry (Sebastian Hansen) and their realtor (Danielle Brooks). The new arrivals team up with Steve to stop The Nether. Jared Hess directed A Minecraft Movie. Max announced in May it is reverting back to HBO Max later this summer.
