IMEX Frankfurt served as a strategic platform to showcase Ajman's unique tourism assets, advanced infrastructure, and strategic geographical location that make it an ideal hub for hosting a wide range of international events.
Ajman's stand – featuring key partners from both public and private sectors – attracted a strong turnout of visitors and industry experts. Throughout the exhibition, the delegation held a series of productive meetings with Destination Management Companies (DMCs), international event organizers, and global hotel groups, resulting in promising collaboration opportunities and reflecting growing international interest in Ajman's offerings.
Ms. Hind Sultan Al Marzooqi, Director of Tourism Development and Marketing at the Ajman Department of Tourism Development, emphasized the significance of the participation, stating: 'Our debut at IMEX Frankfurt marks a strategic milestone in our efforts to enhance Ajman's global presence in the business tourism sector. It was a valuable opportunity to highlight our competitive advantages and establish partnerships that align with our long-term economic vision.'
She added: 'We are committed to maintaining our presence at major international events, which play a crucial role in expanding our professional network and raising awareness about Ajman as a comprehensive and distinguished destination for all types of business events.'
Ajman's pavilion received particular praise for the effective collaboration between public and private entities, represented by the participation of Ajman Chamber Ajman Saray Hotel, Ajman Hotel, and Rida International, offering a unified and professional display of the Emirate's hospitality and event-hosting capabilities.

The 10th Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, held annually by the Ajman Department of Tourism Development ADTD at Emirates Hospitality Center, is set to kick off tomorrow on Wednesday, July 30, 2025. The event will celebrate palm trees and other agricultural produce, while promoting regional agriculture, supporting the local community and stimulating sustainable tourism. The festival's upcoming edition is poised to attract widespread participation from across the nation, as well as KSA, Oman, Jordan, and Egypt, through its unique contests featuring diverse categories like 'Emirate of Ajman', 'North Emirates', 'Other Emirates', and 'Citrus & Fruits'. The dates contest will highlight well-known varieties such as Khalas, Berhi, Lulu, Khenaizy, and Ajman Palms. Similarly, honey contests will feature varieties like Sumar, Crystallised, Sidr, Beeswax, and many others. Moreover, fruit contests will showcase lemon, mango, almond, figs, and citrus fruit varieties. Several SMEs will also take part in the event as exhibitors. H.E. In line with this, the festival will showcase key agricultural products and support their regional cultivation, reflecting national goals and our wise leadership's noble vision to achieve environmental and economic sustainability in this vital sector.' A diverse range of competitions will be organised at the 10th Liwa Ajman Dates and Honey Festival, with many more categories and age groups than its previous edition. The event will also feature art performances such as Al Ayyala and police music bands at the main theatre, as well as a photography contest, which will be announced during the festival. Furthermore, diverse educational sessions will be conducted on palm cultivation and beekeeping methods, along with a series of workshops on palm trunk drawing, weaving techniques for medal making, diamond colouring, Suroud decoration, and Al Jafeer decoration, among others. Daily auctions will be held for dates and honey, of which, part of the proceeds will be allocated to charity. Moreover, the festival will feature traditional fests highlighting the Emirati culture, as well as a dedicated children's corner for hosting artistic events, interactive competitions, and educational activities on several topics, such as palm, its components, and benefits. The festival attracts wide participation each year, led by seamless coordination among public-private entities and traditional bands sponsored by Abu Dhabi Police, among others. This underscores ADTD's efforts to provide a comprehensive cultural experience, reinforcing the Emirate's pioneering position and promoting sustainable economic development. The team comprising Nour Radwan, Sameera Anwar and Sarah Ghazal, came in second for their idea of 'Mehwar', which is an intelligent interactive platform offering personalised content based on the tourists' interests. The project aims to enhance the visitor experience by offering innovative services that seamlessly blend information and travel. Third place went to Shahd Raed Ibrahim Baloosha and Ghina Fadi Al Hosni for their 'TriPlay' app, which combines tourism and interactive gaming to create a fun and engaging experience targeting various age groups, enhancing tourism offerings and attracting a wider range of audience. The fourth-place winner, Ahmed Mokhtar Sharif, earned the recognition for his project 'SmartAI-Tour', which aims to upgrade the tourism inspection and classification system in the Emirate by leveraging AI and data analysis, thereby enhancing monitoring standards and improving service quality across the tourism sector. Ajman Department of Tourism Development launches second edition of ‘Self-Exploration through Tourism' summer training programme to enhance students' professional skills
Following the resounding success of its first edition, the Ajman Department of Tourism Development ADTD launched the second edition of its 'Self-Exploration through Tourism' summer training programme. The programme is a part of the Department's ongoing efforts to empower Emirati youth and enhance their future contribution to the development of vital sectors in the Emirate, most notably the tourism sector. The programme, which runs until July 31, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 1:30 PM daily, targets Emirati students currently pursuing their university studies at an academic institution within the country. The programme offers students professional, hands-on experience in a realistic work environment, to strengthen their applied knowledge, refine their communication and interpersonal skills, and provide important workplace insights for identifying potential career paths post-graduation.
