Golf has long been the go-to playground for big names, where often legends like Michael Jordan, Tom Brady, Donald Trump, and Steph Curry trade stadium lights for fairways and friendly banter.
But sometimes, those actions on the greens become the stage for unforgettable moments. That's exactly what happened this week when NBA icon Michael Jordan rolled up on NFL Hall of Famer Lawrence Taylor and turned a casual reunion into a viral comedy sketch.

The encounter took place during a casual round at Jordan's exclusive club, Grove XXIII, on Thursday. Jordan, dressed in Tiger Woods' Sun Day Red, pulled up in his cart and greeted Taylor with a warm hug.
"How you doin'?" Jordan asked. "Alright," Taylor replied. "Just hangin' in there."
The two North Carolina legends shared a quick embrace before Jordan turned to greet the rest of the group. But just as he was about to drive off, he spotted Taylor's footwear, black slip-on shoes with black socks, and couldn't resist.
"Man, you really doing motherf***ing relaxing on my golf course!" Jordan quipped, pointing at Taylor's shoes. The entire group, including Taylor, burst into laughter as Jordan sped off in his cart.
Taylor, never one to back down, fired back with a grin, joking about Jordan's retirement leisurewear. "Seriously, you so relaxed like a motherf*****," Taylor joked.
The moment, caught on video, quickly went viral across social media platforms, with fans loving the rare glimpse of two GOATs trading jabs.

Jordan's golf course antics are nothing new. From betting on 50-foot putts to trash-talking Charles Barkley mid-round, his airness has built a second legacy on the links.
"I kind of got into golf mainly because, from a competitive standpoint, to me, it is the hardest game to play," he once said. "For a competitive person like me, this is what keeps me sane."
Talking about the bond between Jordan and Taylor, it runs deep. As Taylor was preparing to leave UNC for the NFL in 1981, Jordan was just arriving on campus to begin his basketball journey.
"We played a lot of pickup, hung out a lot," Taylor told the New York Post in 2020.
"He's probably the most competitive person I know. He'll bet on a 50-foot putt and make it nine times out of ten."

Jets bolster defensive line with trade for Browns' Jowon Briggs

(AP) — The New York Jets acquired defensive tackle Jowon Briggs from the Cleveland Browns in a trade Wednesday that also included draft picks. The Browns also sent a seventh-round pick in next year's NFL draft to New York for a sixth-rounder next year. Briggs had 13 tackles with two quarterback hits in six games for Cleveland last season after being a seventh-round selection. The 6-foot-1, 313-pound D-lineman had 12 career sacks and 170 tackles during a college career that began at Virginia (2019-20) and finished with three years at Cincinnati (2021-23). Defensive tackle Byron Cowart has missed time in training camp with an ankle injury, so the addition of Briggs could help fill that void for the Jets if Cowart is sidelined for an extended time. ___

Controversial Olympic skier Eileen Gu in ‘very terrible' accident while training

American freestyle skiing star Eileen Gu said she was injured in a 'very terrible accident' Friday while training in New Zealand, according to the South China Morning Post. Gu — who resumed training last month after being injured at the Winter X Games in January — explained in a post on Weibo, a Chinese social media platform, that she was flown to Christchurch Saturday for medical imaging. She did not explain the extent of her injury. According to South China Morning Post, eyewitnesses said Gu appeared to be seriously injured and was taken to the hospital on a stretcher. 4 Eileen Gu poses during the awarding ceremony of freestyle skiing women's freeski halfpipe at Zhangjiakou Medals Plaza of the Winter Olympics in Zhangjiakou, north China's Hebei Province, February 18, 2022. Xinhua News Agency via Getty Images 'Unfortunately, a very terrible accident occurred yesterday due to human error,' Gu, 21, wrote. 'I hope I can return to the snow soon, but I'm still waiting for confirmation from the expert team.' The two-time Olympic champion explained that it is 'dangerous to be interrupted' and cautioned not to film her during her training sessions. 'I have to concentrate fully during training, especially when I am preparing to start, as it's very dangerous to be interrupted,' Gu said. 'I also have to focus on picturing and imagining the moves while on the cable car. 'In order to save time, I don't have lunch breaks and try to use the bathroom as little as possible. So please don't record or take photos while I'm training.' 4 Eileen Gu competes during the Women's Freeski Halfpipe Final at the 2024/25 FIS Snowboard & Freeski Halfpipe World Cup at Secret Garden on December 7, 2024 in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province of China. The American-born skier raised eyebrows in the summer of 2019 when she announced that she would represent her mother's native China in the Beijng Winter Games. Her father is American. 4 Eileen Gu attends the 2025 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Launch Party at Hard Rock Hotel New York on May 15, 2025 in New York City. She holds the record for the most freestyle skiing World Cup titles (15) in history. Gu is also a model with IMG, having secured high-fashion campaigns with Louis Vuitton and more luxury brands. She made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut in the 2025 issue, released in May. She attended Stanford after the 2022 Winter Olympics.
