She says she got her dream price point—after shedding an undetermined amount of tears.
'Sat here and cried until they gave me the price I wanted,' she writes in the on-screen text.
The caption reads, 'No, we both uncomfortable.'
'Four Salesmen Came Out'
In the comments, viewers weighed in on Janessa's car-buying strategy. More than one woman said it's worked for them in the past.

One woman said, 'I was pregnant and fell in love with a car. I left and sat in my car and cried. Four salesmen came out and escorted me to a nicer office and gave me my car with the price I wanted. No down payment. And a rebate.'
Another woman wrote, 'I was negotiating for like three hours. I was the last person in the building. The manager finally said, 'You remind me of my daughter. Go pick a car. Whichever one you want, I'll give it to you for your price point.' I kept almost crying and he was tired of watching me.'
Others shared their own strategies.
'One time I went an hour before close on a Saturday and let my two boys out of their stroller,' wrote one woman. 'Never had a faster or better deal.'
Even the Mazda USA account joined the fun. 'That's definitely one way to do it,' it commented on Janessa's post.

The Car-Buying Process as a Woman
Do women really need only start crying to get the best deal on a new car? The reality is much more complicated.
According to the
Kruise Control
blog, women buy a majority of all cars sold in the United States, and influence an even greater proportion of car-buying decisions. Unfortunately, women also more often face more aggressive sales tactics when they go to buy a car.
This can be attributed to a number of factors, including sexist stereotypes, a lack of female salespeople at dealerships, and even cultural biases. And the results are that women pay more on average, anywhere from 1% to an eye-popping 39%.
When women do their homework and become active participants in the car-buying process, that disadvantage melts away.
LeaseTrader.com told
NPR
in 2012 that women ask questions more thoroughly than men, and they do more research in advance. One analyst told the outlet that women sometimes overcompensate because of how they've been treated in dealerships by men.

Prodrive's Subaru WRC Homage Can Be Yours for a Cool Million Bucks
Get The Drive's daily newsletter Email address Sign Up Thank you! Terms of Service & Privacy Policy. A few years back, Subaru and long-time tuner and rally supporter Prodrive partnered up to produce a white-hot tribute to the WRC97 rally car and its street-prowling equivalent, the iconic 22B STI. Despite its now-retro looks, the Prodrive P25 may look fairly unassuming, and its 450-horsepower output, while healthy even by modern Subaru standards, isn't lighting the world on fire either. But if you look a little closer, you'll begin to understand why this tightly packaged rally homage sold out at its sticker price of $600,000. If you think that's a lot of scratch for a millennial's Gran Turismo fever dream come true, then you'll be appalled by the P25's depreciation curve. In fact, that's not even the correct term; try appreciation curve. This example for sale on Race Cars For You was listed for 700,000 pounds—$932,736 U.S. Yep, they want nearly a million bucks for something with last-gen pony car power and a silhouette from 1997. Here's the thing: It might be worth it. Both Jerry and I have driven this thing. At risk of coming off like the elder millennial that I am, I have to admit that it borders on sublime. The brap-brap of the turbocharged 2.5-liter boxer is peak WRC nostalgia, and everything about the chassis and suspension feels beautifully dialed in. Sure, the WRX and STI (RIP) were always traditionally marketed as street-going rally cars, but in the P25's case, it's far closer to the literal truth. Set aside the raw power figure for a second, because it's really the least-interesting figure on the P25's spec sheet. Let's start on the other side of the equation. Thanks to its extensive use of carbon fiber and other weight-saving materials, the P25 weighs just 2,500 pounds. That's 5.6 pounds per horsepower—50% leaner than a C8 Corvette. There's no manual gearbox, because that's not what the rally cars used. Yep, this sucker has a sequential. It's a bit strange to use coming from a traditional automatic (or even the typical street-car sequential) gearbox, but hey, race car! The example Jerry and I got to sling around Milford was fitted with standard buckets and three-point seat belts, along with a somewhat subdued set of wheels. This buyer sprung for the optional racing-style seats and Schroth harnesses, plus the throwback gold wheels. Yep, that's exactly how I'd buy it. Time to start digging under the couch cushions… Got a tip? Send it our way at tips@

This Is the No. 1 U.S. State for a Road Trip Thanks to Its Safety, Low Congestion, and Pancake-flat Highways
If you love a good road trip, then chances are you're always plotting out your next route and all the exciting things you get to pull over and see along the way. But before you go, you should know that some states are better than others to drive through on your getaway. And if you hate traffic, you may want to stay on the mainland. In January, WalletHub released its data analyzing the best and worst states to drive through in the U.S. To figure out which states have the best commuting conditions, it compared all states across four key metrics: the cost of owning and maintaining a car (which included the average price of gas), the average traffic patterns and infrastructure, road safety, and access to vehicles. Each metric was then graded on a 100-point scale, and each state was given a weighted average to calculate its overall score. After looking at all that information, it named Kansas the best state for driving. "Kansas is the best state for drivers, due in large part to the quality and safety of its roads," the findings stated. It added that the state also scored the third-highest for road quality in the U.S. and added that the roads are 'flatter than a pancake' for added safety. "Kansas has the sixth-most roadway miles per capita in the country, yet its residents enjoy the seventh-lowest average commute time by car, at just over 20 minutes," it added. "That suggests that while the population may be spread out, people tend to live close to their jobs and don't get stuck in traffic often. Since Kansas has a small population and lots of farmland, it makes sense that it has the seventh-lowest traffic congestion rate, too." Joining Kansas at the top of the list is Idaho in second due to the "success it's had in decreasing deaths on the road. Between 2021 and 2022 (the most recent years for which data is available), the state's traffic fatality rate decreased by nearly 20 percent, the highest percentage in the country," the findings stated. Idaho also has the fifth-lowest prevalence of speeding and the fourth-lowest prevalence of harsh braking, making it a pretty safe place for driving. And rounding out the top three spots is Indiana, which has the second-best road quality and the ninth-lowest traffic congestion in the nation. "It also takes road safety very seriously, with the fourth-strictest driving laws. These factors have helped improve driving conditions in the state, with traffic fatalities declining by nearly 17 percent between 2021 and 2022, the third-highest percentage," WalletHub noted. As for where you may want to avoid driving, Hawaii came in last due to its frequent rain, few maintenance shops, and high gas prices. But, if you're driving around in Hawaii, odds are your vacation is still going pretty well anyway. See all the results at

Best Car Shipping Companies Of 2025
Overview Easy Auto Ship stands out as the best car shipping company overall, scoring 4.8 out of 5 for its various affordable shipping options. Founded in 2013, the company has expanded to cover all 50 states and ships internationally. While it serves as a broker instead of a carrier, Easy Auto Ship fully vets its partners before allowing them to ship vehicles. Learn more: Easy Auto Ship review We picked Easy Auto Ship due partly to its customer-first approach to many of its offerings, like its 30-day pricing guarantee, GPS tracking and free car wash upon delivery. Why We Like It Besides the perks above, we appreciate that Easy Auto Ship claims to have no hidden fees and provides an extra $100,000 in contingent auto insurance. A $150 cash discount is another bonus worth mentioning. Additionally, it offers free cancellation, price matching and a service guarantee. What We Don't Like Easy Auto Ship requires a $250 deposit, which isn't ideal. However, it does offer a pretty generous cancellation policy. We'd also like additional features like a 24/7 customer service line and a mobile app. Who It's Best For Easy Auto Ship can be a good option for many customers. It offers both long- and short-distance moving, and open and enclosed shipping. While prices tend to skew a little higher, the value is still there.
