Twist In Srinagar Airport Assault Case: New Video Shows SpiceJet Staffer Attacked Army Officer First
A new twist has emerged in the July 26 Srinagar airport assault case involving a senior Army officer and SpiceJet staff. While earlier viral videos showed a brutal attack on the airline employees—leading to serious injuries and an FIR by SpiceJet—newly surfaced CCTV footage now suggests that the SpiceJet staff may have initiated the confrontation. The footage shows employees advancing toward the officer before the scuffle broke out. The incident occurred at the boarding gate of flight SG-386 after a dispute over excess cabin baggage. Authorities are now reviewing the case in light of the conflicting video evidence.#spicejet #srinagarairport #armyofficer #cctvfootage #assaultcase #spicejetstaff #flightviolence #airportcontroversy #newevidence #policeinvestigation #toi #toibharat

FIR against Jharsuguda airport director for assaulting senior employee

Jharsuguda: A police complaint was filed against Jharsuguda airport director Sandeep Tiwari on Tuesday for allegedly assaulting and verbally abusing a senior employee. The incident comes close on the heels of an Army officer allegedly assaulting four SpiceJet employees at Srinagar airport on July 26, following which an FIR was registered against him. According to the complaint filed at Airport police station, Sandeep Kumar Minz, president of the Airports Authority Employees' Union and a senior assistant electrical engineer, claimed he was attacked by Tiwari during a meeting in the director's office. Minz alleges that Tiwari used casteist language before raining punches and kicks on him. The altercation is said to have occurred when Minz presented a list of employee-related demands, leading to a heated exchange that escalated into violence. In response to the incident, a group of airport employees rallied in support of Minz, marching to the police station to demand immediate action against Tiwari. Police have registered a case under SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act besides various sections of BNS. Tiwari, however, denied the allegations, describing them as "completely baseless".

Army says no ceasefire violation along LoC

NEW DELHI: The Army on Tuesday said there has been no ceasefire violation along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. "There have been some media and social media reports regarding ceasefire violation in Poonch region. It is clarified that there has been no ceasefire violation along the LoC. Please avoid spreading unverified information," the Army said in a statement here. Earlier, official sources in Jammu said the Pakistan Army had on Tuesday evening indulged in "unprovoked" firing on forward Indian posts along the LoC, prompting strong retaliation by the Indian Army. The exchange of small arms firing between the two sides continued for nearly 15 minutes in the Mankote sector but there was no immediate report of any casualties, the sources had said, adding it was the first instance of ceasefire violation since Operation Sindoor. Indian and Pakistani militaries engaged in intense clashes between May 7 and 10 after India launched missile strikes targeting terror infrastructure across the border under Operation Sindoor to avenge the Pahalgam terror attack. The border clashes, however, died down after the two countries reached an understanding. At least 28 persons were killed in Pakistani shelling, missile and drone attacks along the LoC in J-K with 13 of these deaths reported in Poonch district alone.
