Christopher, who was also known as Mr Duke Street, took his final journey along the Dennistoun street at around 10am today (March 29) ahead of his funeral at Daldowie Crematorium.
Hundreds of people lined Duke Street to pay their respects to the popular local as the cortège travelled through the area.
He was accompanied by the Dennistoun Rangers Flute Band while flags hung outside The Bristol Bar stated "Chris Potter, Rangers Royalty" and "Simply the best, Potter forever".
Pictures taken today show people lined up along the pavements with many holding blue and white balloons while Rangers flags, Unions flags and Saltires hung from lampposts.

Following his tragic death, Christopher's wife Holly shared a statement about the "devoted family man" who loved karaoke and was "the life and soul of every party".
She said: "We are all absolutely devastated by the news about Christopher. He was a hard-working, devoted family man who always had time for those close to him.
'Never short of a smart or funny remark, he will be missed by everyone who knew him and will forever be in our hearts.
'He touched the lives of everyone he met, lived his life to the fullest, and was the life and soul of every party.
'He loved singing on the karaoke, and it was impossible to get the mic off him. He also loved his food and was well-known for sharing pics of his dinner amongst family and friends.
'As well as his family and friends, the other love of Christopher's life was his football team, Glasgow Rangers.
'The only comfort we have at the moment is that he was following the team he loved when he passed away.
'Christopher grew up in Dennistoun in the East End and was known as Mr Duke Street. I always used to joke about how annoying it was walking along Duke Street with him because he stopped to talk to so many people – he was so well-known and loved.
'I have been totally overwhelmed by the support I have received from everyone. The GoFundMe page that has been set up has raised an incredible amount.
'Of course, no amount of money will bring Christopher back, but it will be shared among his children.
'We would ask for time and privacy as a family as we try to cope with this unbearable news.
"Fly high Christopher, we loved you so much.'

The Glasgow Times previously reported that a GoFundMe was set up following Christopher's death in a bid to raise money to support his family.
Within one day, the amount raised surpassed £100,000.
It was also reported that in the 40th minute of Rangers' match against Fenerbahce at Ibrox on March 13, Rangers supporters held a minute's applause.
Several banners were draped in the Copland Stand during the match. One banner read: "Rest Easy Christopher Potter" while another read: "With the angels you'll be singing, our very special friend."

Reliving The Lowest Point In Blueshirts History
While the upcoming Rangers 100th Anniversary Gala will feature the innumerable high points in Blueshirts history, you can be sure the absolute lowest point will be ignored. So, as a public service to Rangers reality, The Maven will disclose the subterranean depth and the artistic fallout that followed. The game took place during the awful wartime season of 1942-43 when most of the 1941-42 first place Rangers' stars had marched off to war. Not surprisingly, the Blueshirts, who were in last place, were playing the Red Wings at Detroit's Olympia Stadium. "The final score was 15-0 for Detroit," said Jim Burchard of the New York World-Telegram, "but it could have been 16-0 because the Wings scored again at the final buzzer." Hey, 15-0 was bad enough; an NHL humiliation record has been set. But that wasn't the end of it. A few days later, the foremost sports caricaturist in New York went after the Blueshirts. He's most famous for creating the Brooklyn Dodgers "Bum." Willard Mullin of the World-Telegram drew daily panels on the Telly sports pages and on February 3, 1944, there it was. And not just one drawing but seven within one gigantic cartoon, all referring to the 15-0 rout. The headline on top proclaimed REVENGE IS SWEET. In the first panel Mullin drew a sprinting Ranger with pucks bouncing off him left and right. The caption read: "Last week in Detroit, the Rangers suffered the most humiliating defeat in NHL hockey history, 15-0." The subhead added: "Round the rugged rink the ragged Rangers ran..." In Panel Two, it read: "Tonight the Patrick Patsies return to the scene of the frozen Waterloo." This time the depicted Ranger pounded his chest and shouted: "I WANT RE-WANGE!!!: Panel Three: Now a Ranger fan goes up to the coughing player and says, "...And what are you gonna do to him, Big Boy?" At Last: The Telling Of Two Rangers Tragedies At One Training Camp You had to be there to know that it actually happened – two tragedies at one Rangers training camp in Kitchener, Ontario. The pair of overlooked stories are here for you to read right now. Panel Four: Angrily, the player yells at the fan: "What Am I going to do?!!" The fan responds: "Nothing could be too drastic, I hope." Panel Five: The Ranger answers his own question: "I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do! I'm going out there and..." Panel Six: The Ranger swings hard with his left hand, shouting, "I'm gonna STOP THAT PUCK! If I have to stop it with MY then..." The excited fan eggs him on: "Yes, yes, GO ON!:" In the Final Panel, the angry Ranger grabs the Ranger Fan by the coat lapels and roars, "I'M GOING TO SUE!" At which point the fan's hat flies off and the cartoon ends. POSTSCRIPT: In the so-called "Revenge Game" on February 3, 1944, the Rangers gave up nine straight goals before actually scoring a pair – by defenseman Bucko McDonald and forward Fern Gauthier. Final Score: Detroit 12-2!
