, once a fixture on the silver screen, has spent the past few years in the comforting shadows of a more personal spotlight — motherhood. While many actors often stay in the public eye through interviews and podcasts, even without current work, the

actress prefers to keep her voice measured and meaningful.

"I think I should do interviews when I have content to talk about. I'm very clear about that. I don't want to make noise just like that. It's a simple life right now," she tells us.
'I worked so hard that today I can take that decision of stepping back and be with my baby'
Bipasha's last full-fledged cinematic outing was in 2015's
Alone
, and since then she has kept a deliberate low profile. Talking about her much-deserving sabbatical, she says, "I have worked from the age of 15, so I needed a break. When I got married, I definitely consciously stepped back.
I wanted to enjoy the perks of all that I had worked hard for. Then the three years went by so fast - being in love and settling down, it was great. I don't regret any of it. Then the decision of wanting to become a mother - that was a little difficult on me.
I had to take some strong decisions, and it took me some time to do that. I had a baby and now I don't want to miss out on any time with my baby. Itni mehnat se bacha bada kiya hai. It's as simple as that.
And I'm grateful that I can do that. I worked so hard that today I can take that decision of stepping back and be with my baby and it's going to be fine."
'There are newer ways the world is looking at women, it's not stereotypical'
Despite the absence from the screen, the passion never dimmed. Ask her if she misses facing the camera, and she doesn't skip a beat: "I do miss it. I love acting. I used to do it 365 days a year. I've done it for 20 years. So, I do miss it. And it's (return to acting) going to happen soon.

I'm not worried about that because now it's looking good for women. There are more opportunities, there are more platforms. There are newer ways the world is looking at women, it's not stereotypical.
I have tried to always do something different, right from the time I began, I went against the tide always. And it's always worked for me. So, I do believe that you have to live your life. The work and your life have to kind of be in balance.
Mine is not right now. It's my baby, my baby, my baby. But it is going to come. I think it is the right time. I will do it."
'I want to make my daughter proud'
While she's open to diving back into the professional pool, Bipasha is in no rush to sign on the dotted line. She has "no idea" what she is looking for. "I have no idea. I'm all open. I've always been a very open person. So just bring it on. When I'm ready, bring it on. And I will choose and do so. I feel like if I have to commit, then will I have time, otherwise I'm going to keep pushing this.
Acting is something that I love, so. And I need my child to see who I am, apart from being a mum.
Now she's becoming more intelligent and sharper. She always is curious - 'Why are people taking Mama's pictures at airports?'. She frowns. She doesn't understand it, right now. But I want to make her proud and I want to do some substantial work which will make her proud as she's growing up," she admits.
'Devi is a fashionista, and I am her stylist'
As for her time at home, Bipasha, who recently walked as a showstopper for Max's vibrant Lilo & Stitch collection, has found joy in the simplest of roles—being her daughter's full-time fashion guide. Devi, who is three, is a "fashionista" Bipasha reveals. "My baby is a fashionista. And I am her stylist. She likes to dress up, very unlike me. I don't like to dress up in my normal time. She's taken after the father (actor,
). She likes to dress up every day. She likes to go and see herself as soon as she gets ready. There are times when she's telling me, 'Mama, you didn't put lipstick', to which I reply, 'Just keep quiet. I'm going to go out without lipstick. I'm not going to get ready'. That little one is becoming a fashionista because the stylist is excellent. I take all the credit. Everyone asked me, how does she tie her hair so much? She's so small, but she loves it.
And she sits very patiently. And five minutes, her hairstyles are done," she concludes.

This is the story of a girl born in Kolkata and brought up in Delhi, who began her career through modelling. Tagged as a 'dusky-skinned' girl, she went on to build a successful career as a fashion model. She did exactly what she set out to do; she rose to the top in modelling and then transitioned into Bollywood. The moment she arrived, she stunned everyone with her style and soon began ruling the industry. Known for her work in several item numbers, she was often cited in the media as a sex symbol. This model landed her first Bollywood project in 2001, sharing the screen with Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Bobby Deol. The movie was Ajnabee, and the actress is Bipasha Basu. She even won the Best Female Debut Award for her performance in the film. In 2003, her career progressed with a leading role in the erotic thriller Jism. She was paired opposite John Abraham, who made his debut in the movie. Bipasha portrayed the role of a seductive, ambitious wife of a millionaire, who indulges in an extramarital affair. Basu's performance in the film earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Villain. But today she has been away from the industry for the last several years. The actress who used to wreak havoc with her beauty and fitness has changed a lot these days. She has even been trolled many times. Bipasha Basu married Karan Singh Grover and then… In 2016, Bipasha Basu married Karan Singh Grover. The two met on the sets of the film Alone in 2015. They now have a daughter named Devi. In an old explosive interview, singer Mika Singh revealed that working with Bipasha and Karan was one of the most horrible experiences he ever had. The couple was part of a project together, and since they were married, the team had allotted them a single room. However, the duo refused to stay together and even declined to perform an on-screen kiss. Mika shared, 'I took a team of 50 to London for a month-long schedule. However, it was extended to two months. Karan and Bipasha created a lot of drama. They were a married couple, so I booked a single room for them. But they were like, 'No, we need our separate rooms.' I didn't understand the logic. They then demanded to move to a different hotel. We did that as well.' Remembering the discussion of the kissing scene, Mika recalled, 'They are husband and wife, and yet they created drama around kissing each other on screen. These stars fall on the feet of big producers like Dharma Productions and Yash Raj Films and keep praising them for even the tiniest roles, but their attitude changes when it comes to smaller producers. Aren't we also spending money?'

Despite the promising start, many of his subsequent films failed to make an impact at the box office. (Also Read: Kangana Ranaut's ex-boyfriend Adhyayan Suman supports her after slap incident: 'It should not have happened') He spoke candidly about not getting work despite being the son of a well-known Bollywood actor and said, "I can say I am the best example of nepotism, jisko kaam nahi mila nepotism ki wajah se, or I can prove that. And you know, I feel nepotism is a very futile debate, and I think it became a sort of fashion conversation. Luxury feels like jail at one point in your life, no matter how many cars that your father gives you, or the house or the penthouses that you live in or the vacations that you go to, people like me with a conscience to do something in life are miserable.' He further spoke about not having a home of his own and added, 'Because what you do beyond the point, I mean, you've owned the car, you've owned the house, it's not yours, it's your father's, it's his hard work, you've enjoyed it. But beyond the point, you feel like mera kya hai, at 37, I don't own a home." Adhyayan made his Bollywood debut in 2008 with Haal-e-Dil, directed by Anil Devgan. He gained wider recognition with his second film, Raaz – The Mystery Continues (2009), a supernatural thriller directed by Mohit Suri. His performance in Jashnn (2009) also received praise from critics. Most recently, he appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's web series Heeramandi, which featured an ensemble cast including Sonakshi Sinha, Manisha Koirala, Aditi Rao Hydari, Shekhar Suman, and Fardeen Khan. He will next be seen in the film Madrasi Gang, which he announced in 2021. Produced by S. N. Reddy and written and directed by Ajay Andrews Nuthakki, the film is currently in post-production.

Adhyayan Suman calls himself the best example of nepotism who didn't get work: 'I don't own a home at 37'

Adhyayan Suman, who debuted in 2008, calls himself a victim of reverse nepotism, struggling to get work despite his lineage. Battling depression, he felt trapped in luxury, realizing that at 37, he still doesn't own a home, highlighting the emptiness behind inherited wealth and fame. Adhyayan Suman made his debut in 2008 with 'Haal–e–dil'. His follow-up film, 'Raaz – The Mystery Continues', achieved commercial success. Adhyayan's father, Shekhar Suman , has openly discussed the actor's battle with depression and suicidal thoughts, which arose from the challenges he faced in Bollywood. In an interview, Adhyayan described himself as a victim of reverse nepotism and expressed remorse over not yet owning a home. Reverse Nepotism In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Adhyayan described his situation as a unique example of nepotism—one where he didn't receive work opportunities. He candidly stated, 'I can say I am the best example of nepotism, jisko kaam nahi mila nepotism ki wajah se, or I can prove that. And you know I feel nepotism is a very futile debate, and I think it became a sort of fashion conversation.' Battling Depression Furthermore, Adhyayan spoke about a difficult period in his life when he battled depression and felt trapped despite living in a penthouse. He explained that luxury can feel like a prison at times, regardless of the number of cars, houses, penthouses, or vacations one has. For someone like him, who has a strong desire to achieve something meaningful in life, such material comforts can actually lead to feelings of misery. Reflections on Ownership He reflected that after a certain point, owning cars and houses doesn't truly feel like ownership since these belong to his father and are the result of his hard work. Although he has enjoyed these luxuries, he feels a sense of emptiness, realizing that at the age of 37, he still does not own a home of his own.
