Celebrity Traitors salaries REVEALED ahead of much-anticipated new series

Daily Mail4 days ago
The salaries of the star-studded cast of the Celebrity Traitors have been revealed ahead of the hotly-anticipated series.
Nineteen celebrities have already filmed the latest round of backstabbing and betrayals in Scotland's Ardross Castle, with fans eagerly awaiting the series' release.
Major names including Stephen Fry, Kate Garraway, Paloma Faith, Joe Marler and Alan Carr have joined the line-up as they will put their cunningness to the test.
As anticipation builds for the first ever UK celebrity iteration, the salaries of the high-profile cast have been revealed by The Rest Is Entertainment podcast.
Rather than being paid individual wages, all of the celebrities were paid the same £40,000 fee to appear on the show, according to journalist Marina Hyde.
'It's certainly interesting to compare something like Celebrity Traitors on the BBC to I'm a Celebrity on ITV,' she told her co-host Richard Osman while discussing BBC wages generally.
'Although we haven't seen the celebrity iteration yet, but we know it's gonna be massive. Look at the calibre of the people they got.'
'They were able to pay everybody a blanket 40k fee, right? I am spilling all my tea today. They're paying them a 40k fee,' she shared.
Pointless host Richard, 54, compared it to The White Lotus - where the celebrity cast were all paid a base rate of $40,000 (£29,000) per episode, not any individual rates.
'It's like White Lotus when everyone got paid the same, they got paid much less than you would normally do,' he said before hastening to add that 'everyone is massively overpaid in the entertainment business'.
Richard then teased that he knows someone who has seen the first episode, describing it as 'amazing' as he hinted fans won't be disappointed.
The BBC declined to comment when approached by MailOnline.
Filming for the Celebrity Traitors kicked off at the end of April as the cast were seen arriving at Inverness Airport, and shooting has already wrapped for the show.
Though the exact release date has not yet been confirmed, it is expected to land on the BBC in autumn 2025.
The celebrities who will transform into Traitors and Faithfuls include actors Stephen Fry, Ruth Codd, Celia Imrie, Tameka Empson and Mark Bonnar.
Comedians Alan Carr, Nick Mohammed, Joe Wilkinson and Lucy Beaumont will also take part, joining singers Paloma Faith, Cat Burns and Charlotte Church.
Also confirmed for the show are presenters Jonathan Ross, Clare Balding and Kate Garraway, Olympic diver Tom Daley, rugby player Joe Marler, historian and writer David Olusoga and YouTuber Niko Omilana.
Missing from the confirmed line-up was actress and comedian Jennifer Saunders, who was heavily rumoured to be taking part.
BBC bosses took extra precautions to keep the cast under wraps ahead of its reveal, following a series of leaks.
According to The Sun, executives put in place a military-style operation to transport the all-star cast to Ardross Castle.
And a no-fly zone was in place over host Claudia 's Highlands HQ to stop drone photographers from securing any images.
A source told the publication: 'For a show with secrecy and shocking plot twists at its heart, navigating the celebrity version has been a real puzzler.
'Casting the likes of TV presenter Kate Garraway, former rugby star Joe Marler, and singer Paloma Faith creates a situation which is a lot more open to leaks and gossip than recruiting a call centre manager from Liverpool or a retired opera singer.
'So execs have worked really hard to lock down every inch of the production.'

Newlyweds Jack P. Shepherd and wife Hanni Treweek emerge the morning after their wedding wearing shades after partying until 1am

Jack P. Shepherd and his wife Hanni Treweek were spotted leaving their hotel today after partying until the small hours after tying the knot on Saturday. The Coronation Street star, 37, and his bride, 35, covered their eyes with sunglasses after celebrating with their loved ones at a Manchester hotel until 1am. The couple were surrounded by friends, family and colleagues as they tied the knot at Manchester Cathedral, just over one year after he popped the question while on safari in Tanzania, Africa. Hanni carried her bridal gown in a protective bag as they headed home with Jack's son Reuben, 11, who he shares with ex Lauren Shippey. The happy couple flashed beaming smiles as they departed laden with luggage from their big day, including suitcases and gift bags. Jack looked dapper in a navy Ralph Lauren shirt, which he teamed with a pair of skinny jeans and chunky black boots. Meanwhile, Hanni continued the bridal theme in a white dress and denim jacket, which she styled with chic shades and sandals. Reuben helped out as he carried two dog beds out to the car, suggesting that the families pooches -Baby and David - had joined them for the occasion. Their second dog is named after Jack's iconic Cobbles character, who he has played on the ITV show since 2000. Their latest appearance comes after Jack and Hanni were pictured leaving their reception on Sunday morning alongside their bleary-eyed guests. They then headed on to the reception before departing back to their hotel in Manchester in the early hours of the morning after the raucous celebrations. As she left her wedding Hanni had changed out of her lace ceremony dress and into a gorgeous silk strapless number. She wore her dark tresses pinned up and opted for a radiant makeup look as the pair climbed into a waiting car to head back. Real life Corrie couple Sally Carman and Joe Duttine were also seen leaving the party and the bleary-eyed pair put on a loved-up display as they had a smooch. Earlier in the day, the newlyweds shared a passionate kiss as white confetti fell on them after the romantic ceremony. Jack had arrived in a red mustang with his mother and his son Reuben, who he shares with his ex Lauren Shippey. Hanni arrived shortly after, and looked gorgeous in an elegant white gown, with lace detail and a long trail. Fellow Corrie star Lucy Fallon, who plays David's niece Bethany Platt, turned heads in a plunging yellow gown, teamed with gold strappy heels. Tina O'Brien, who plays his sister Sarah, looked typically chic in a plunging blue and white gown, while his on-screen wife Julia Goulding opted for a turquoise number. Other Corrie stars in attendance included Samia Longchambon, Colson Smith, Ben Price, Alan Halsall and Jayne Danson. Jack, who won Celebrity Big Brother earlier this year, previously revealed he took part in the show in order to pay for the wedding. And a source previously told The Sun the pair were going all out to make sure it was their 'dream day'. 'Jack and Hanni are having their big white wedding at Manchester Cathedral on Saturday,' a source said. 'They have gone all out to make sure it's their dream day and there has been no expensed spared.' 'It's a very grand setting getting wed at the cathedral, and it will be packed with guests, including many of Jack's Corrie co-stars.' It came after Hanni got wedding ready during a girls' day out at The Ivy restaurant for her hen party earlier this month. Hanni, who was a colleague of Jack's as a storyline writer and researcher on Corrie, looked stunning in a high-neck white lace mini-dress as she danced the night away to live music. It came after she enjoyed lunch and cocktails at The Ivy, where she posed for snaps with her pals and drank from a giant 'Bride' straw - with her hens all wearing Jack masks. Taking to her Instagram Story on Sunday, Hanni also revealed that she and Jack had been at a lesson for their first dance, as she shared a mirror selfie of the pair in a studio captioned: 'Hungover but dancing through as Mrs Shepherd to be .' She captioned her hen party snaps: 'The non hen party party, two weeks before the wedding. 25 years of a special friendship with these beautiful girlies, how lucky are we. 'I love you all so much, thank you for throwing me a non hen party party it was perfect. The next time I see you I'll be walking down the aisle.' Back in June, Hanni shared a sweet post about her husband-to-be as they celebrated a year since getting engaged. Hanni shared a sweet tribute to her husband as she counted down the days to the nuptials. Sharing a collection of throwback snaps from their trip to the Serengeti where he asked her to be his wife, Hanni wrote: '365 days of being your Fiancée. 51 days until we become Husband & Wife. 'Looking back at the most special memories with you, Tanzania will always hold a special place in my heart ⛺️❤️ Happy one year anniversary. What a magical year it's been ✨.' Resharing the post on his Instagram Story, Jack wrote: 'Happy one year anniversary @hannitreweek. I'm so lucky to call you my future wife.' At the time, the couple posed for loved-up snaps in their safari getups to announce the happy news on social media. Flashing her sparkling engagement ring, Hanni beamed for the camera before kissing her new fiancé. Captioning the snaps, she gushed: '05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!' Jack and Hanni have been dating since 2017, after meeting on the soap when she worked in the press office. She later became a story liner on the ITV show, before quitting to work as a fashion influencer. Despite being colleagues, their romance actually began when Jack impressed Hanni at a mutual friend's wedding. Speaking to OK! Magazine in 2020, Jack recalled: 'Then our mutual friends got married and we were both guests at the wedding. 'We got chatting, I made Hanni laugh, we had a couple of drinks and we flirted. That was it.' The duo then later bumped into each other once again in a Sainsbury's, which led to an exchange of texts and a blossoming romance. He told The Daily Star: 'I texted her afterwards and said 'that was awkward' and she told me she thought she looked a mess and then we started texting from there. 'I actually thought she looked fit – I just saw the girl I fancy wearing Lycra! We quickly went on our first date and we just clicked.'
