Top favourites Chelsea defeated Sweden's Djurgårdens IF 1-0 on Thursday to comfortably reach the Conference League final 5-1 on aggregate.
The Blues had effectively settled the affair with their 4-1 win at the Stockholm club, and then also won at Stamford Bridge.

Tyrique George was denied by goalkeeper Jacob Rinne in the first half, but the winner came in the 38th when Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall ran past three defenders to convert in off the left post.
In the May 28 final in the Polish city of Wroclaw, Chelsea will meet either the 2023 and 2024 finalists Fiorentina or Real Betis.
Chelsea can become the first club to win all three of Europe's current club competitions, having won the Champions League in 2012 and Europa League in 2013 and 2019.

Chelsea signs French defender Sarr from sister club Strasbourg

LONDON — Chelsea signed a top young player from its sister club by bringing in French teenage defender Mamadou Sarr from Strasbourg on Monday. Strasbourg, which plays in France's top league, is owned by the consortium led by Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital that bought Chelsea in 2022. The 19-year-old Sarr is a France under-20 international who was a regular last season as Strasbourg finished in seventh place to seal a place in the Conference League playoffs. He was previously at Lens and Lyon. Chelsea won the Conference League last season and will play in the Champions League after finishing in fourth place in the Premier League. Strasbourg was bought by Chelsea's ownership group, BlueCo, in 2023. Chelsea said Sarr had signed a contract until 2033 but didn't disclose the transfer fee. ___ AP soccer:
