Bills Schedule Boasts Easy Game To Predict

Yahoo19-05-2025

When the NFL schedule was released, teams and fans looked to see who they played and when, with the Buffalo Bills eagerly awaiting the outcome of a couple of their contests.
One was the Baltimore Ravens, a team the Bills beat in the playoffs last season, but the other was the main target—the Kansas City Chiefs.

The schedule dropped, and the Bills will once again face Patrick Mahomes and Co. at Highmark Stadium, the site of their playoff loss (again) last year.
For ESPN, this is the "circle this date" game for Buffalo and Bills Mafia.
"Yet again, the Bills and Chiefs will meet in the regular season so Week 9 or Nov. 2 becomes an immediate date to circle," ESPN writes. "This is the sixth straight season that the Bills will play the Chiefs in the regular season and the second straight regular-season meeting in Orchard Park. The Bills have won the last four regular-season matchups but lost four playoff games to Kansas City in that span. No matter when or where MVP quarterbacks Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes meet up, it's a game to watch and this year is no different."

We all know about the recent history between these two, with the Bills dominating in the regular season and the Chiefs dominating when it really matters.

The chance will come for the Bills to continue their regular-season dominance in Week 9, and at that time, Buffalo, given how their schedule has fallen, could be undefeated.
If that is the case, the chance to get a firm hold on the No. 1 seed is there for the taking.
Buffalo knows how to shut down the Chiefs in the regular season, but the playoffs are another matter. Still, continuing its recent winning streak against the defending AFC champs will put the Bills in a great position to go on a deep playoff run.

Blockbuster Giannis Antetokounmpo Trade Idea Sends Bucks Star to Rockets originally appeared on Athlon Sports. According to Kelly Iko of The Athletic, Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo remains a trade target for the Houston Rockets. Advertisement Antetokounmpo is reportedly open-minded about leaving the Bucks this offseason, but the future Hall of Famer hasn't requested a trade yet. If Antetokounmpo requests a trade from Milwaukee, Andy Bailey of Bleacher Report proposed that the Rockets trade Fred VanVleet, Amen Thompson, a 2027 first-round pick (via Phoenix), a 2028 first-round pick swap, a 2030 first-round pick and a 2032 first-round pick to the Bucks for The Greek Freak. The Bucks lost to the Indiana Pacers in the first round of this year's playoffs in five games. They have won just one postseason series since winning the 2021 championship against the Phoenix Suns in six games. Meanwhile, the Rockets made the playoffs this year for the first time since 2020. They took the Golden State Warriors to seven games in the first round. Antetokounmpo is a two-time MVP, a one-time Finals MVP, a one-time Defensive Player of the Year and a nine-time All-Star. He put up 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks per game this season and made the All-NBA First Team. "Giannis would give the Rockets one of the best starting frontcourts in the league," Bailey wrote. "He and Alperen Sengun can play together. And the roster would still have plenty of upside with Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr. and Reed Sheppard." It will be fascinating to see if Antetokounmpo requests a trade from the Bucks this offseason. The Rockets are expected to make an offer for Antetokounmpo if he asks out. Blockbuster Four-Team NBA Trade Idea Sends Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo to Raptors

Blockbuster Four-Team NBA Trade Idea Sends Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo to Raptors originally appeared on Athlon Sports. According to Doug Smith of The Toronto Star, mutual interest exists between Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Toronto Raptors. Advertisement Shams Charania of ESPN reported in May that Antetokounmpo is open-minded about leaving the Bucks this offseason. 'I don't know if it will happen but I do know there is mutual interest between Antetokounmpo and the Raptors,' Smith wrote. 'The wild card is the cost. But I also think the Raptors are uniquely placed to make an attractive offer that won't ruin their franchise or roster.' The Bucks have won only one postseason series since winning the 2021 championship against the Phoenix Suns. Meanwhile, the Raptors have been looking for a superstar ever since Kawhi Leonard left for the Los Angeles Clippers in the summer of 2019. Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Toronto Raptors reportedly have mutual Credit: Jeff Hanisch-Imagn Images With Smith's reporting in mind, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report proposed a four-team trade idea between the Bucks, Raptors, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls that lands Antetokounmpo in Toronto. Advertisement The Raptors would get Antetokounmpo, Jalen Smith and Jevon Carter, the Bucks would get RJ Barrett, Gradey Dick, Chris Boucher, Ja'Kobe Walter and Gabe Vincent, the Lakers would get Lonzo Ball and Jakob Poeltl and the Bulls would get Dalton Knecht, Jarred Vanderbilt, Shake Milton and AJ Lawson. "Why Antetokounmpo? Does that need exposition? His ties to Toronto may stem from his relationship with top executive Masai Ujiri," Pincus wrote. "If Antetokounmpo is picking the Raptors, who are they to say no? "The larger question is justifying the cost. On the premise that Toronto has no interest in moving Scottie Barnes in the deal, it's giving up nearly all the first-round compensation possible (a little more than what the Cleveland Cavaliers paid out to get Donovan Mitchell)." Antetokounmpo doesn't have a no-trade clause in his contract. The future Hall of Famer averaged 30.4 points, 11.9 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 0.9 steals and 1.2 blocks for the Bucks this season. With Woelfl's reporting in mind, Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report proposed a three-team trade that lands Antetokounmpo in New York next to Jalen Brunson. New York Knicks get: Giannis Antetokounmpo (from Bucks) Milwaukee Bucks get: OG Anunoby (from Knicks) Brandon Clarke (from Grizzlies) Vince Williams Jr. (from Grizzlies) GG Jackson II (from Grizzlies) 2026 Washington Wizards protected first-round pick (from Knicks) 2026 first-round swap rights (from Knicks) 2028 protected first-round pick (from Grizzlies) 2030 first-round swap rights (from Knicks) 2032 protected first-round pick (from Grizzlies) 2032 first-round swap rights (top-five protected for the Knicks) Grizzlies get: Mikal Bridges (from Knicks) The Knicks made the conference finals this year for the first time since 2000, losing to the Indiana Pacers in six games.
